“Welcome to Ocassus Facility, please obey all commands at all times to ensure a functional stay.” Welcome to Prison "Max was completely focused on the electric impulses activating every inch of his body in a spasm of pleasure, as the host drove him to a point where he forgot about everything, his mind was completely focused on the moment, and he could feel his orgasm building up."
It was Maxwell's first day in prison, his new home. His stay was going to be...better...than he expected. The Danger Max walked upstairs and found himself in a rooftop, with a few walls up, which seemed to lead to other rooms. He then would noticed that a man was in front of him, and, while he did not know who he was, or why he was there, they began kissing, as the other man caressed Max’s chest and gently kissed his abdomen, before coming back up and caressing his soft lips with his. At this point, Max realized there was a third man there, which he only noticed because the strong sensations he would suddenly experiment, and, as he looked down...
Waking up at Ocassus always made Max feel strange, his new room in The Palace, a separate wing of the complex where Vincent, known in the facility as “The Emperor” and his Elites, who were inmates tasked with making sure everyone inside Ocassus followed the rules imposed by The Emperor, a powerful and wit-fueled man who could accomplish anything inside the facility, except for attaining freedom, either for himself, or others. Excitement Max leaned in on his chair, as he tried to choose one thought out of all the ones that flooded his mind, making him feel heavy; the fact that his left wrist was cuffed to the chair made matters worse, as it made him feel he could say something inappropriate, which could have negative repercussions.
Maxwell began wondering if he would ever be free again, and all signs were pointing to negative. Luckily, or unluckily, he was "comforted" behind these prison walls. When he found a hole in a bathroom wall, he was quickly comforted after a bit of skepticism.
“Welcome to Ocassus Facility, please obey all commands at all times to ensure a functional stay.” Sour dreams are all that’s served behind the unforgiving walls of a prison, all the promises of love, freedom and a warm place to come home quickly disappear. His mind was a sea of memories and tasteless scenes, as his brain focused on bringing the slightest bit of rest to his body, when the process of minor relaxation was interrupted by a loud noise. Max sat up and honed his senses, trying to make out what was happening; the answer came too quickly when five men entered his room, surrounded him and covered his head with what he hoped was his pillowcase and not some other filthy fabric. He felt cuffs against his skin, and one of the men instructed him to be quiet.
Welcome to the Palace.
“Have you ever found love at an odd place, within an odd moment?” Max whispered to Soren, as their bodies came closer to one another.
Max knew tougher times were ahead of him. Max could get anything he wanted at The Palace. Max and Soren are both up to naughty business.
I had such high hopes for this book and was sadly disappointed...
The likes and dislikes: ~Crossovers from one scene to the next or even to flashbacks and also other perspectives are a bit on top of each other, making it a little hard to distinguish at times. ~Repetition. Repetition. Repetition. I know this is a 'bundle', but a bundle of books in my opinion, consists out of several books the length of this one (at least), all together, so that was an immediate star loss, because just no. Authors should think of their readers and this practise is very unfair toward readers. ~The sex is HOT! ~Some characters seemed almost insignificant when you initially read of them and then even when you know they are important, it seems that the connection they should have with Max was just 'bleh'. ~As intriguing as I found this in the beginning, it died away and had me confused as certain thing felt left out, when flashback and things completely unrelated dominated most of the book. ~With that said, it seemed like the author had ideas, unrelated, and decide to throw it all together and go with what was left in the end. So yeah, most of it for me felt like it didn't fit 'prison erotica' at all. ~I liked hearing some of the other prisoner's stories and that was why I wanted to read this so badly, but sadly, this was just a small part early on. ~Golden shower... ~I was skimming through most of the last part, because it truly just became; recap, imagining something and 'what is next' questions. Stop and repeat the whole way through, until something of worth happens again. ~Saw the ending coming, which was sad as I hoped for too much.
Notes on characters: Max - Halfway through, I still felt undecided, as he was a little bland. Bill - A character you meet early on, who gets you all excited and actually want Max to get it on with...but you're gonna wait your bum off. Terry - He is sweet and balances the story pretty well. Only amazing, great, beautiful thing I found in the book. Soren - I mention him lastly, because for someone who should've meant more, I felt no connection and honestly have no care for him.
If you really want to read this 'series'; read the whole one, because if I had gotten it in the separate 'books' manner, I would have stopped at the fourth or fifth. AND. The only prison things that makes this likeable was the first few chapters, the sexual interactions within the prison itself and the politics of the prison, which in all honesty was very little when taking away the flashbacks and repetitions.
