I was waiting for this 2nd book in the series to come out, and I was not disappointed. Once I picked the book up, I couldn’t put it down. Thank goodness for a 9 hour travel day so that I had the perfect excuse to keep my nose in my Kindle.
I fell in love with MMC Jed in book 1 and fell even harder in this book. He’s not afraid to love his mom who didn’t take care of him like she should have, his sister who is not truly related, or FMC Natalia who feels she doesn’t deserve anyone’s love because she’s so broken. Primary language for Nat’s family is Russian and I liked how Cumming used the language throughout the book and translating. A lot of authors just refer to characters using their native language while writing in English, so this made the story feel more authentic and I appreciated it. The ending of this book was perfect as the main characters are safe and together with no cliffhanger - but we are set up to want book 3 now. I’ll patiently (not really) wait …
I loved this book. Cherry is the second installment in the series by Kasey Cumming, and it exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed Jed's character in the first book, Sway, so it was wonderful to get to know him better through Cherry's story. He is such a beautiful character, filled with love, while Cherry struggles to accept it. I loved watching their journey as she realizes how much she truly needs and wants him in her life. The story takes you on an adventure filled with twists, turns, and a mystery to solve. I thoroughly enjoyed this narrative, which helped me overcome a reading slump that had lasted for months. I highly recommend this book to anyone who appreciates a male character with golden retriever energy, and a female protagonist who, like a chocolate éclair, appears tough on the outside but is soft within—she just doesn’t want anyone to know. 5-star work from Kasey as usual, I wouldn't expect any less! Looking forward to book 3.
I could not put this book down!! I absolutely devoured sway and this was no different. 🙌🏻 After helping to save a friend, Cherry finds herself asking questions about her family and most importantly her father’s empire. The daughter of a mob boss is taught to scrutinize, and things aren’t adding up. Plenty of spice and just all around a fantastic mafia read! 😮💨
Tropes 🍒 Step-sibling Mafia Love triangle He falls first
✨Already have a scene for the third book and I cannot wait! 😍
