Two werebear clans at war. Two lovers caught in between. Will love triumph, or will loyalty win? Calliope Masters wants two things in life - a good man and a happy clan. She found her man, but her clan is anything but glad. When she is suddenly called back home to the wilds of Montana, the love she feels for her kin and for her lover are put to the ultimate test - can she stay loyal to both? Even when he is declared the enemy and just thinking of him is a betrayal, Callie can't get her mind off of him. Or her hands off of his hot body, for that matter.
Jonah Arder has spent a long time searching for his place in life. After almost losing his soul to the horrors of war, the werebear Marine quickly discovered that only one thing could save him from an angry, bitter existence - the love of a mate. Callie, his sexy, curvy mate, saved him once, but can love exist when there is nothing but hate between his clan and hers? They must choose sides, but no choice comes without a loss. When things come to a boil between the two war-torn groups, the decision may no longer be theirs to make...
This is a 26,000+ word novella with a HFN ending. The book includes a steamy scene and can be read as a standalone.
So a whole war is caused because the clan with the angry, agresive, cruel for no fair reason Alpha HAVE to be loyal to him and fight their former friends, neighbors and otherwise innocent members of another clan... And it looks like all will be forgiven in the next book. Because who wouldn't take a guy back after he tries to kill all three of your brothers and harass and steal from all your friends and neighbors?

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I actually really enjoyed this story…a lot. Jonah is more quiet and reserved than his brothers. They are all estranged and he hopes to change that. He’s confessed that he’s been with Callie who is a part of Ryder’s clan. Although they were together before all of this happened. Jonah is sweet and caring and feels deep. He was a Marine and went through a lot there. Callie helped him through all that. They are mates that’s for certain. Callie is sweet also. She can be headstrong and stubborn but she comes by it honestly. She loves Jonah with all her heart and he her. They both struggle with the fact their clans are going to war. Surprisingly Julian and Jackson take this news well…mostly. They understand.
As war comes its a struggle for Callie since its her clan and she feels bad about siding with the Arder clan but knows its the right thing. At the peak of the fighting guess who comes to dinner...err...the fight? Jackie....and she is PISSED. Everything just stops! The fight ends and the clans go to their own territory. Its the aftermath and Jackie is pretty much yelling at how stupid they all were. Ryder and Jackson just kinda take it. LOL. Neither one says a thing. What could they say really? There is a temporary truce. Time will tell....there will be another book because we know its not over. Especially with Ryder and Jackie. This was a great read. Enjoyed it and this is an awesome series. Love it.
In this third installment we have the third of the Arder brothers, Jonah. Jonah is a military man. While away on tour Calliope has been secretly writing him. Calliope is from Ryders pack. Calliope feels that she owes Ryder her loyalty because he cared for her as a child/sister relationship. Both Calliope and Jonah have a connection or bond for communicating. Calliope had a brother in the military. Jonah and Calliope finally meet and get together. Jonah has seen so much and needs Calliope to help him get through it all. Will their passion and love stand the test of time? I love the series and I think Anaya Nowlan does a great job of setting the stage for these brothers.
The third Alpha brother comes home in answer to the call of the Clan. His lifemate is a member of the Clan warring against his own...and they are being manipulated by her Alpha.
Love and war never mix well. What is going to turn the tide? One Clan wants a peaceful settlement with no loss of shifter blood. The other wants war with whatever bloodshed that entails. Is there any hope???
Gotta love the Arder brothers and Jonah does not disappoint! It's tough to be in love when you are on different sides of a battle and life has become very tough for Callie and Jonah. Ryder is still up to his same outlandish behavior and showing no signs of calming down and putting aside his differences with the Arders. This is a great story.
Kindle Unlimited read. They are from fighting clans but where brought together through a tragedy. After a year of love, their clans call them back only to be separated by the war! Jonah has became my favorite Alpha bear so far. Great read!
