3 Solid Stars
This was a hot little read.
The H is 34 to the heroine's 18, which might bother some...

Anyway. I wasn't a fan of a small element in the beginning, but other than that, this was a hot, short MC Club read with a little bit of bdsm ish thrown in the mix.
It's light on plot, heavy on smut, and ends in a huge cliffhanger...so as long as you aren't expecting a romantic masterpiece, you've got 45 min to kill, or you just feel like a shortie?
This fits the bill.

Other MC Romances may claim to have a dirty talking alpha biker - they haven't met Dante. He's THE dirty talkin' alpha biker!
This one seriously hot and dirty novella. It's also incredibly well-written, which was a pleasant surprise for this genre and level of heat. It's not just biker porn. It's got an interesting, well-thought out story line and plot too. Very refreshing!
Dante is tough, crude, and filthy-tongued. He thinks he's picked up Karina for one afternoon of hot sex. But the way she responds to him sets him on fire and he realizes he doesn't want to let her go. There's one big complication though. His club brother, Logan is also Karina's Ex. And he is not pleased about the two of them spending time together.
This isn't insta-love. It's insta-lust. There is a LOT of smokin' hot semi-kinky sex in this book! But Dante is also an extremely protective alpha-hero. He does all sorts of deliciously dirty things to Karina, but he also protects and cares for her. He respects her as much as a sergeant-at-arms in an outlaw motorcycle club can and I think watching him fall for her was my favorite part.
The story is told in dual point of view. Both characters have very clear and distinct voices. Dante's inner dialogue goes beyond sexy to downright panty-melting.
I don't want to ruin it, but this was a seriously HOT read. I can not WAIT for Book #2!

Rowdy, crude and absolutely wild, this book is filled with sex from the very first page. And even though they are so many sexual scenes in it and all of them are entirely too hot to ignore, there is still a solid plot line behind.
Dante and Karina start their encounter as a one-night-stand or do they? Karina has other plans until she manages to captivate Dante, the big, bad sergeant-at-arms, and after that, all bets are off.
She wants to take revenge on her ex, but she finds herself losing her mind over Dante. The guy who never wanted anyone on his side, until her, his baby girl. He will protect her and make her his, no matter what.
The book is very interesting, with lots of potential and a nice story-line. Overall, steamy with insta-lust/love and some big secrets!!!

Holy fucking hell! What did I just read?
Asunder is mind-blowingly hot, dirty, wrong, and just plain filthy!

<--- is gritty done RIGHT.WOW. For a debut author, this is one seriously good story. It's hot and in your face. It has all the things you expect in an MC story, but...better.
Karina is young, a little innocent, but not stupid. I really liked her. She goes into her hook up with Dante to make her ex-boyfriend jealous and is surprised when Dante wants her to stick around.
But Dante is as surprised as anyone when he wants to keep Karina. He's a hard man, the Sgt at Arms of the Iron Bulls MC. He enforces the rules and hands out the beatings when members misbehave. He's never wanted to keep a woman before. Something about Karina makes him want to keep her, protect her, and have smoking hot sex with her in every place imaginable.
Even though it's short (novella length) it's a rich story. There are some interesting secondary characters I hope to learn about in future books. The MC President is a pig, and I want to see the woman who tames his ass! I also loved, loved, loved Luck who is sort of an assistant Sgt at Arms.
Here was the hottest thing for me about Asunder. It's a sort of BDSM read. No one really acknowledges it in the book (there are no protocols or titles or anything like that), but it's there. Karina submits to Dante completely and he fully embraces the role of a GOOD dominant by taking care of her very naturally. Luck is the one who points out what their relationship is (in a really awesome scene that made me fall in love with Luck!). Dante doesn't care. He just wants to keep Karina safe.
The sex is graphic. So if frank language bothers you, you should avoid. While graphic, the sex isn't gross. (I don't know if that makes sense, but there's a fine line for me!)
5 enthusiastic stars. I wish more authors could get the Alpha hero right the way this one did!

Tatted dirty talking alpha biker... whoot~whoot!
First I must scream out that cover is smokin'!
We start with the heroine with a plan that backfires. Karina sets out to make her friend Logan jealous. they had been neighbors and had unhappy homes. They developed a close relationship and Karina lost her virginity to Logan at the age of 16, he was 19. He kept her safe, she thought they would always stay together but one day he left her behind and joined the Iron Bulls MC and couldn't take her along. She was too young he said. Out of anger she sets out to land one of the members. In this case it's dirty mouth Dante and I had no problem at all with that.
"Love fuckin' you bare, baby."
"Yes"
"Still takin' your pills like a good girl?"
"Yes, daddy."
Now I know the author went over the the Daddy bit. I am not a prude by any means, NOT EVEN CLOSE, but I can't handle that crap! That's just me though and I can accept others find it "hot". I didn't, I cringed every time and all I could her is a whiney little voice of this 18 year old. And God was there a lot of daddy being said. I stopped my own girls from calling their dad "daddy" at a certain age. It's just ridiculous sounding to me, childish. There's no age to stop per se I just know I do NOT want to hear a teenager call her dad daddy... I've never ever even heard a boy say it unless he was a young toddler/child so to be having sex and constantly saying daddy just doesn't work for me!

I've read a lot of mc romance and mc erotica. Asunder has to be one of THE best ones I've come across.
Dante is an interesting mix of crude, filthy, outlaw biker and dominant, protective alpha male.
I'll try to tell you why I loved it so much without giving too much away!
Dante comes off as crude and coarse. His language and inner dialogue are very crass. But the respect he shows this 18 year old girl he picked up for a one-off, who is basically willing to do ANYTHING he wants, is something totally different that I don't think I've ever seen in a "biker porn" book before.
He stands up to his club president for Karina. He wants her to go to college, even if that means they won't get to see each other as often (that was huge for me!)
I can't tell you how many books I've read where the guy jams his dick in the girl without a condom because he wants to and doesn't care if he knocks her up or gives her an STD. Dante does the exact opposite and he's sexy and funny at the same time! The author managed to walk a fine line between dirty biker and REAL man who protects his woman. I think she's selling herself short by marketing this as "biker porn" because it's so much better than that.
If lots of kinky, dirty sex and foul language makes you cry for your mama, don't bother with Asunder.
I'll leave you with this bit from the book because I think it perfectly describes what I'm trying to say above.

5 "My panties burst into flames and melted off" stars!
Dante is all the things I like from my heroes in biker romances - hot, possessive, demanding, protective, ready to fight for his woman, and no bullshit. He's beyond filthy and crude and I loved it!
Karina is a heroine I normally wouldn't like, but I ended up LOVING her. She's a little in over her head with Dante, but she realizes that and acts accordingly.
Asunder has some of the HOTTEST, SEXIEST sex scenes I think I've read in a long time. Every time these two get near each other it's explosive.
There are a few things the casual romance or erotica reader might find objectionable. But they're done so well and so FREAKIN' HOT, I didn't even care. Karina and Dante have no idea they crave the same things. As Dante says "they fit like two fucked up puzzle pieces". Yes, they do, and it's HOT!
Above all else, even as domineering as Dante is, he treats Karina with respect, protects her, and wants to do right by her. For me, that was the hottest part of all. All too often these days I see authors confusing "Alpha Male" with "Bossy asshole who only cares about himself."
Asunder is novella length. It's the first book in the Iron Bulls MC series and I am already salivating to get my hands on the next one, Disconnect (there is a sneak preview of Book #2 that left me wanting more-NOW!)

Great start to a new series!
I love this book! None of the really gritty and cheating biker assholes like there usually are are in this book. Dante is a really hot, dirty-talking Sergeant-at-Arms of the Iron Bulls MC. I love how he decides to start taking care of Karina when he realizes her life isn't the best.
The only thing I hated was that the book ended in a cliffhanger!!! I know that the 2nd book comes out in a few days, but I CAN'T WAIT!!!

It was good. It wasn't perfect, but it was good.
I'm not gonna lie, I was not a fan of Karina when I first started this story. But that only lasted like three pages LOL because the game she thought she was going to play, which is a perfectly legitimate game for a person her age, she nixed asap. I am SO glad Phoenyx Slaughter decided to write the plot like she did from page one! Any other way, and I don't think the book would have been as perfect as it was.
Dante is absolute perfection for me . He's a hard man with a tough responsibility within the MC Club but yet he's soft and caring when it comes to Karina. He not only surprised me over and over again throughout the story, but I think he kinda surprised himself as well. And I loved it. It felt real to me. It felt right! A man who's never had anything but fly by night 'bitches' his whole life has just had his heart put in its place by a 'little girl' named Karina. Honestly, I loved every minute of the two of them!
Blaze on the other hand...not so much . That boy is shifty. Was from page one! I don't trust him. His reasons for being in the MC Club are not as clear cut as one would think. His motives behind being there are going to surprise us and turn this whole serial upside down. And I'm ok with it. Because I paid attention while I was reading and I expect it!
Do I know the exact direction that Phoenyx Slaughter is going to take with this story? Not really, but I feel a wait, wait. what?! ... hmmm coming. I can feel it. And its gonna be phenomenal. #TRUST
As I mentioned earlier, this wasn't perfect, and now I'm gonna tell you why.
This reader thinks this story is going to skyrocket into greatness and take us on a twisty windy road full of pantie-melting scorching hot sex and tender moments and maybe a little suspense here and there. AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE!

Cliffhanger, tons of sex and not really that much story.....and yet I loved it.
As far as Karina was concerned Logan was her childhood friend and then her lover, he took her virginity and her heart and then threw it all away, and she wants revenge. Karina is eighteen and still at school but she knows Logan joined the Iron Bulls MC and she manages to get picked up by another member, Dante, the older, darker and far more dangerous Sargent-at-Arms but what started out as simple revenge for Karina and a one-time only afternoon distraction for Dante surprisingly turns into something more.
I'd read the reviews so I knew this book was dark and dirty, hot, sexy and filthy it starts as it means to go on and the more I read the more I liked it and yes, there's loads of hot sex and crude talk but it became more than that and the cliffhanger.....now I'm waiting until August for the second book 'Disconnect'

Wow! This book is hot - and I mean catch your kindle on fire hot! It is deliciously dirty right from the first page, and it gets hotter as the story progresses. This is the first book of a new series and if the rest of the series is as good as this one then it will be a must read. The writing was slick, the story flowed well and the characters were well developed. It is a short novella length book, but it sure packs a punch.
Karina hooks up with Dante, a sergeant-at-arms for a motorcycle club, to get back at her ex Logan. Both Karina and Dante expect this to be a one time thing, but both are surprised when Dante wants to continue the relationship. Dante is a lot older than Karina and he doesn't do relationships, but there is something special about her. Dante is rough, tough and he has an absolutely filthy mouth but there is something about him that makes you fall in love with him. Karina is really sweet too. She is young, fairly innocent and desperate to be cared for after being brought up by a father who gave her no attention or love.
Dante is a real alpha male while Karina is obviously submissive. They don't have an official Dom/sub relationship, but there are elements of BDSM in their relationship. This is all done really well and is oh so hot!
Asunder is a great read and I can't wait to read the next book after that ending. I'm really looking forward to seeing where the author takes the story. This book features tough badass bikers who use rough language - so it may not be for everyone, but personally I loved it. Five stars!

Asunder is a great read and I can't wait to read the next book after that ending. I'm really looking forward to seeing where the author takes the story. This book features tough badass bikers who use rough language - so it may not be for everyone, but personally I loved it. Five stars!

OOF. It was kind of my bad for trying this one, not gonna lie. The under 200-page MC romances with an emphasis on the smut just don't seem to work for me.
This one REALLY didn't work for me. Like really. I feel like I need a cleanse. And that's coming from someone who likes age-gap romances and the DD kink when it's done between actual consenting adults with similar levels of life experience.
It was the combo of opening this book with only sex scenes + she's like the most innocent 18-year-old still in high school (🤢) to ever exist + they immediately go to a clinic to get her on the pill and he's there and she's never been to the gyno ever and he's getting tested for STDs because he's that big of a manwh*re... (Are you squicked out??? I'm bothered just typing all of this out.)

5 STARS *****! Let me start off by saying that I won the fricken lottery when I was asked to beta read this book. WOW - WOW! It grabbed me from the first paragraph and let me tell you, there's no slow build-up to the hot, steamy sex - let's just say it's BAM right in your face from the first page. This book was right up my alley with it's hot alpha male biker with the dirty mouth, HOT steamy sex scenes and a touch of what some may consider a taboo subject. It was a great story, with great characters and great writing - what more can you ask for? I think this series will definitely appeal to those that like their MC stories on the more grittier side and I am super excited to see where this story goes. This book may not be for everyone so if you like it soft and sweet this isn't it. Awesome first book for Phoenix Slaughter and I'm a fan!

Dante and Karina's story... or should I say Dante and his "b!tch"... I understand the need to use a crude dictionary in such books but some times there needs to be a limit. Using the word "b!tch" multiple times in a sentence, becomes a little boring... that being said, this book was ok, smutty, fast-paced and a little bit kinky. I'll be reading the next book in the series, mostly because I'm quite curious about what happens.

A VERY STRONG and SEXY as hell 3!
Oh my fucking god, was this a steamy read.. Again, with every novella I don't expect to love it or to even fall for the characters let alone the entire story. With Asunder I cannot understand how I could not put it down to save my life.
18 year old 'innocent' Karina meets the bad boy 34 year old MC Dante. Now, I know ya'll might be judging this but scratch those thoughts out of your mind.
This type of relationship might come with a warning sign of basically saying WTF, why would an innocent young girl fall for an older MC member? For one? It's fucking DANTE. For the love of all things sexy, drool worthy and sinful, he is the man that will make any sane woman go INSANE...
I started this one at around 2.15am after a long shift at work on Monday. Needless to say, I was about 70% but my eyes betrayed me so I regretfully had to put it down for the night. Bright and early this morning? Dear lord have mercy. I had to finish this story no matter how much my stomach growled or those damn dogs kept jumping to go for their morning walk. It just wasn't going to happen.
Then comes the finishing of the book.
Fuck me sideways.
Why do I mentally keep punishing myself with cliffhangers? Not fair. At all. I was barely awake so I kept flipping my phone every which way trying to find where the rest of the story went. Don't judge. As mentioned, I had barely have 5 hours of sleep and had NO coffee in my system...
I know that this sounds like yet another alpha male takes dominating over an innocent girl, a bad ass MC who seems to have a stone heart but turns to a beating frenzy when he meets THE girl. And yes, Asunder does have that.
BUT. If you are looking for a VERY ADDICTIVE and QUICK but Sexy and a little erotic story? Asunder should be at the top of your list!

Reasons why I didn't give it above 3? I didn't really like the way Karina was making her decisions or more realistically, the reasons behind her actions. Most of them were absolutely fine, but she kind of marked the work 'naive' to a different level. Especially towards the end..
I connected with most of the characters except Logan. I couldn't understand why he was thinking the way that he did or why he would do what he did at the end. Though I am pretty damn sure we will find out most of the answers in the next one..
Aside from those two things, this was a very well done book. I truly loved it!!
I am DEFINITELY awaiting the day the second one lands on my kindle, I NEED to know what happens...

I am very picky on MC books lately. I thought I would take a chance on this one. I thought wrong. I can see what the initial idea was, but it got lost in the execution. The characters were immature and not developed. The language awful. The plot predictable. If the author continues in the genre I would recommend to forget everything she has read from other MC writers and writes something that hasn't been done to death. Dante has no respect for women, but this one girl worms his way in after an afternoon even after he finds out she is still in high school even though she is 18. The whole club is direspectful and degrading to women. I have read enough to know that club women are different and it does't bother me, but this was waaay over the top. And the only way to claim her as his "ol' lady" is to screw her in front of his "brothers" on the table with their MC emblem on it where they have "church". Then it ends in a cliffhanger, I know I won't be wating for August for the next book. This could've easily been a DNF for me, but I really wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Spend your money on other good MC books out there. My advice to authors out there that want to do the whole MC genre would be wise to remember - all those that can, shouldn't.

Cliffhanger, tons of sex and not really that much story....yet I loved it.
As far as Karina was concerned Logan was her childhood friend and then her lover, he took her virginity and her heart and then threw it all away, and she wants revenge. Karina is eighteen and still at school but she knows Logan joined the Iron Bulls MC and she manages to get picked up by another member, Dante, the older, darker and far more dangerous Sargent-at-Arms but what started out as simple revenge for Karina and a one-time only afternoon distraction for Dante surprisingly turns into something more.
I'd read the reviews so I knew this book was dark and dirty, hot, sexy and filthy it starts as it means to go on and the more I read the more I liked it and yes, there's loads of hot sex and crude talk but it became more than that and the cliffhanger.....now I'm waiting until August for the second book 'Disconnect'

Combining all my favorite things in one book. MC life. Dominant Male. Crazy Jealousy. And even some characters that look to develope into their own story lines. If you like Jordan Silver then you will like this writing style for sure.

I loved this book! It was different with the daddy/ baby girl reference, and to be honest I thought it was kind of kinky, yes she’s young BUT Karina is 18. Dante is older too. But I loved it! It was hott as hell!
Karina just wanted to get back at her ex....
Dante wanted a good lay....
What they both got was an explosive and binding chemistry neither expected!!
Dante is the Sergeant at Arms for the club, and he’s not looking for love or settling down, but the way Karina submit’s herself to him is addicting and he finds himself needing her.

What an amazing debut novel Asunder (Iron Bulls MC, #1) by Phoenyx Slaughter was. I really enjoyed reading Asunder it was a quick and enjoyable read. Once I started reading Asunder I couldn't put it down. This book was different compared to some of the other MC books out there. The characters Dante and Karina were different in age which I liked. Hot, and I mean ridiculously hot, steamy, dirty sexy times. Dante *sigh* oh Dante... give me a minute...Okay. If only they could all be like Dante. He's unapologetic and just coming into his 'Daddy Dom' persona, but boy does he handle it well. He slides right into the role like it was especially lubed up for him. There is some storyline, and it's enough to have me wanting, no needing the next book, but I'll be honest here. I'm shallow enough (and they're good enough) that I would have one-clicked the next book for the sex scenes alone.

1) It's a cliff hanger. Next book out in August The book description just says it's book 1 in a "series."
2) It's definitely erotic. H is 14 years older than h who just turned 18. She's still in high school. She's a natural submissive and she calls him "Daddy" and she's "Baby Girl." He has her dress in a school girl uniform for her first visit to the club when he wants to introduce her as "his woman."

This book was worth every red cent. I just wish it didn't end so soon. This was a very fast, hot, sexy read with a plethora of pumping, prodding, stroking, sucking, and swallowing going on. Goodness!!!! Dante was so freaking hot in this book. No wonder Karina wanted to lick his ink.
