I had pretty high expectations going into Valentino's story.
We got little hints of a spark between Amanda and Valentino in the earlier books, so I was really looking forward to finding out more about them. I loved learning how they had actually crossed paths before and that they'd both been attracted to each other for quite some time.
I really liked the whole reunion in Milan storyline. Valentino seeing Amanda in the café while she's in Italy for work, deciding he's going to protect her when things start getting dangerous, and then watching everything unfold from there was definitely one of my favorite parts.
And Amanda? Loved her! 😂 She's sassy, confident, and definitely not afraid to stand up to Valentino. She doesn't just sit back and let him boss her around, which made their interactions so much fun.
My biggest issue was probably the romance itself. We know they're attracted to each other and we're told they've had these feelings for a long time, but unfortunately, I didn't always feel it. Their relationship seemed to go from zero to a hundred pretty quickly, and I would have loved to see more of that build-up and emotional connection between them.
Valentino is still very much the cold, emotionally guarded guy we've come to know, and I think that's part of why I struggled a little to connect with their romance. Even their intimate scenes felt a little lacking emotionally for me. The attraction was there, but I wanted more feeling behind it.
That said, the storyline itself kept me interested. There were definitely moments where I was worried about what was going to happen, and at one point I was actually a little choked up! Sherry Blake knows how to put your heart through the wringer and then fix it again.
I also really enjoyed seeing characters from the previous books popping up throughout the story. I always enjoy that feeling of being back with the whole family, and it made this book feel like part of the bigger picture.
Now, let's talk about Elio and Valentino because OMG. 😂 The jealousy and tension between those two started to get exhausting for me. I also struggled to understand why Elio switched sides. I understand that he felt overlooked and wanted recognition, but if he really had feelings for Amanda, some of his choices just didn't make much sense to me.
And then there's the whole mysterious person trying to bring down the Sartori family...
Who the heck is behind all of this?! 👀
Could it be Giuseppe's illegitimate children? Riccardo's kid? Someone completely unexpected? Who knows! That part of the bigger storyline is still very much up in the air, so I'm definitely curious to see where the author takes it next.
And of course, we have the things I always appreciate:
HEA ✔️ No cheating ✔️ No sharing ✔️
I actually read this book throughout my day because I was determined to finish it, so clearly it kept me hooked! 😂
I also really enjoyed all the little bits about Italy, especially Rome. Having been there myself for exactly 10 days 😉, I loved those details. And honestly, 10 days is NEVER enough! There's always another little street, café, or random doorway that leads you to the most beautiful hidden basilica you've ever seen. You really can just wander around and stumble across something amazing.
Overall, I enjoyed Valentino and Amanda's story. Was it my favorite of the series? No. Did I still enjoy it? Absolutely. Amanda was a fantastic FMC, the storyline kept me entertained, and there was enough suspense and family drama to keep me turning the pages.
I just wish the romance had given me more of that OMG, these two are completely gone for each other feeling.
And now we wait to find out Luca the silent watchers sorry....

This is my shortest considered review, as I was taking "notes" in my mind while I was still reading it. I can't help but note the improvements I find in this book after reading the previous one. Of course, I will note again that I don't have a complete view of the story before this and a complete picture of the relationships between the characters, because I only have experience in reading advance copies of books 12 and 13. However, in this one I find details that remind the author of a more complete relationship and picture for readers like me who are not familiar with the series. For which I am grateful and note it as a plus. Also, the age difference is emphasized several times, which is also an improvement compared to book 12 in which I wondered almost until the end how old the characters are. The fact that the twist of the story with tense suspense is almost from the beginning, something that is different in terms of technique and structure of similar novels, is surprising. I find this a pleasant surprise and not a bad criticism. But there comes a point when my honest review will not deviate from this - Still, this attraction of the author to chamber scenes remains. If you understand what I mean. This is that theatricality in the theater, which is revealed to a small audience in a narrow hall without a change of scenery and lasts almost until the end. Here these chamber scenes "change the scenery" - the protected dwelling, then the apartment in Rome, but still I lack filling. A little more action, a little more development of feelings, a little more intimacy. And I don't mean just more sex scenes under intimacy. And a filling that is not only their disclosure in a narrow space, where there is nothing else to do but sex. If I have to comment on the latter in more detail - well, I am slightly disappointed. 3 of the 4 sex scenes are in a back sling, with the 4th scene being in the bonus chapter and 2 oral ones from Amanda. Somehow this newly recognized sexual attraction of theirs was like an examination in an office. Moreover, the position in which the woman has her back turned away from a desire for intimacy. It's not that they were bad scenes, but for me they were monotonous and not very passionate. The introduction of the chapters for Luca and the equally abrupt interruption of Valentino's story seemed abrupt to me. I'm almost sure that I won't continue with the next one. Good luck to the author, I gave my 5 stars for the rating because every author deserves support in the hope that each next book will be better.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ VALENTINO — 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well… there went my entire day because apparently chores, food, and responsibilities don't matter when Sherry Blake gives me a new mafia man to obsess over. 😂🔥

I DEVOURED Valentino.

Amanda heads to Milan for a fashion project and somehow finds herself caught in the middle of something far darker than the glamorous life she's supposed to be living. When she becomes tangled up in the trafficking operation Valentino is trying to uncover, everything goes completely sideways. Valentino does what Valentino does—and suddenly they're on the run together.

Forced proximity with a possessive mafia man? SAY LESS. 😂

Amanda absolutely broke my heart. From the outside, she seems to have everything—the career, the social media following, the glamorous lifestyle—but underneath it all is this incredibly lonely woman who has spent most of her life feeling like nobody ever truly chose her.

And then there's Valentino.

This man has plenty of his own demons, but when it comes to Amanda? DONE. The moment she becomes his, there is absolutely no going back. He will protect her, fight for her, kill for her, and sacrifice himself without hesitation if that's what it takes to keep her safe.

The age gap.
The forced proximity.
The TOUCH HER AND DIE energy. 🥵
The tension.
The angst.
The hurt/comfort.

I ATE. IT. UP.

But underneath all the danger and scorching chemistry is what really got me—the emotional connection between these two. Watching Amanda finally experience what it feels like to be truly wanted and CHOSEN hit me right in the heart.

I could not put this book down. The suspense had me on edge, the tension had me losing my mind, the spice was 🔥🔥🔥, and of course Sherry found a way to emotionally damage me along the way.

Another Sherry Blake man has officially been added to my list of fictional men who have completely unrealistic standards for my real life. 😂🖤

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ without hesitation.

I received an ARC of Valentino, and this is my honest review.

Ok, I did not expect Valentino and Amanda to hit so hard! Of course we were teased of them in earlier books so I knew their chemistry was going to be off the charts! What I didn't expect was how it was going to hit me in the feels and make me a blubbering fool!! The angst, the pain, the sacrifice!!

Valentino is a man obsessed and in love with Amanda but he's denied his feelings because she is Vitorria's bestie and him messing with her a death sentence. But when he's around her and her bubbly personality, he's already holding on by a thread. Then when he finds her drugged and hurt, all bets are off. He will burn everything to the ground to keep her safe. I literally signs his own death certificate in order to save her when the cartel takes her to get to him. Those five minutes the have together when he confesses that the last two weeks with her has made him live more so than all the years of his life. His devotion to keeping her safe is everything and has him going against his Don, Bruno. The emotions were so strong in this book, from everyone, it was refreshing. All the other characters loved Amanda and Valentino in their own way and they all were ready to go to bat for them. Vitorria threatening Valentino if he hurt her best friend had me rolling because my best friend and I are the same with each other.

So many of the couples in this series are so good but so far, hands down, Valentino and Amanda are my favorite because their story is probably the most pain filled, in my opinion.

I did feel like the story was somewhat unfinished. After all that they went through, there is still someone out there they haven't caught, who is informing their inner workings to the enemy. The book ends without that being resolved and them enjoying a Roman holiday and getting married. How is Valentino touring Rome while someone is out to get the Sartori family still? The ending left unresolved issues that don't look like they'll be resolved in Luca's book but we'll see.

Another Sherry Blake gem! I absolutely loved Valentino and Amanda’s story. I read this book throughout my day and was determined to finish. The chemistry between these two was unstoppable. The plot and characters were all very well developed. I’ve enjoyed the previous books in this series so I appreciated the appearances of those characters throughout this book. Amanda was a sassy FMC and she was not scared to stand up to Valentino. Their love story and history, they both wanted each other unbeknownst to them, and how it came to was perfect, they went through a fair share of obstacles to get there. He basically sees her in a cafe in Italy, she’s there for work and he’s there working for the Sartori’s. He very quickly decides he’s going to be her protector in light of some dark things taking place and it just goes from there. I don’t want give away too much!!This is a must read and at one point I was a little choked up and worried about what was happening but Ms. Blake developed the story perfectly and my heart mended quickly! Also, having been to Rome myself for exactly 10 DAYS😉, it was refreshing reading all the snippets of info on all that beautiful city has to offer and I always say 10 days was never enough bc there’s always some hole in the wall that you stumble up and walk into and it happens to be a beautiful basilica but u wouldn’t know from the outside. There’s SO much to see.
Thank you Sherry Black for the opportunity to be a part of your arc team.❤️

ARC Review, thx Sherry Blake

As I noted with the previous three books, the stories and characters have steadily improved.
The Feretti Syndicate series was a mixed bag, but the Sartori Syndicate series has shown marked improvement.
Consequently, my expectations for Valentino’s story were high—but unfortunately, they weren't quite met. The book is good, yet it doesn't quite measure up to the stories of Bruno and Dante.
In the earlier books, you could sense a spark between Amanda and Valentino. Here, the reader learns the circumstances under which their paths crossed and that they have long been attracted to each other.
However, in my opinion, those strong feelings don't really come across; the romance seemed to go from zero to a hundred. Valentino still comes across as "cold," and the intimate scenes felt rather devoid of emotion.
I did like the premise of the storyline—specifically, how they reunited in Milan.
I found the jealous behavior between Elio and Valentino exhausting, and I don't really understand why Elio switched sides. Sure, he lacked recognition, but that doesn't justify his actions if he has feelings for Amanda. Furthermore, I don't understand why Aldo singled out Elio in the first place, given that Elio was in Chicago, not Sicily.
The mysterious anonymous figure apparently intent on bringing down the Sartori family doesn't really clarify things, either. Could it be Giuseppe’s illegitimate children? Or Riccardo's kid? We shall see; the overarching storyline remains unresolved.

Thank you Sherry Blake on the ARC.

Another great story in a row in this series.
Valentino became the second favorite. 🖤🔥

From the very beginning, he's always been there. Always ready to come, solves the problem, and leaves.
An event from his childhood marked his present life. The burden he carries is guilt and powerlessness at the moment when he should have helped. That is why today, there is no connection with others, there are no emotions, it is better that way, both for him and for others , because he always leaves.

Amanda was always in second place, a child to show off, exemplary, but never enough, always forgotten. Birthdays, celebrations at school, she always celebrated alone.
When and where you need to set a boundary to protect yourself, first mentally, and then emotionally and physically.
When to say no, and put yourself in front of everyone.
Amanda had to go through hell first, to learn that lesson. To understand that she is most important.
And to wish for someone who won't leave her.

Can childhood mistakes be forgiven and corrected?
Can parents make repentance for their past sins and get forgiveness?
And can the love of a girl, who now lives in a woman, heal a man, who cannot forgive a boy his mistake?

I'm sorry this series is coming to an end. I love the characters and it will be difficult for me to say goodbye to them.

Amanda travels to Milan for her next fashion project but she stumbles in a trafficking ring which Valentino tries to find out who and how is working it. Until everything goes wrong and Valentino in order to save Amanda ends the don's son and they have to go on the run.
Amanda is a woman that on first sight has everything, the fashion job, the instragram life, the glamourness. But she's lonely. Being neglected most of her life from the people who birthed her she feels like no one's choice.
Valentino is the cousin of the family who runs Italy and has his own demons. But one demon that can't resist anymore lands on his lap and never intends to let it go. He will do anything for her, even sacrifice his life.
I don't have the words to express how good this one was. It gripped me from start to finish and I literally finished in one sitting (to hell with the chores, who needs to eat?). The tension (still shaking), the chemistry between (ugh it's scorching here), the emotional damage (I'm not crying, no, no), the angst (it literally had me on edge the whole time).
I received this arc and this is my honest opinion

Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Sherry Blake is one of those authors I will pick up without even reading the blurb, especially when it comes to her mafia books. She always manages to give you plenty of story alongside the romance and spice, and Valentino was no different.

I had been curious about Valentino and Amanda for a while, so I was really looking forward to finally getting their book. I loved how different they were from each other. Amanda is confident, sharp and more than capable of standing her ground, while Valentino is far more controlled and difficult to read. Watching her get under his skin was probably one of my favourite parts.

Valentino is exactly the kind of mafia MMC I enjoy. Protective, possessive, dangerous and definitely not a man who likes anyone getting too close to what he considers his. There were some really good moments between them, especially when that jealousy started creeping through.

I really enjoyed the storyline too and flew through this in a day. There was plenty happening outside of the romance which kept me interested, without taking away from Amanda and Valentino.

The only thing stopping this being a full five stars was that I wanted a little more emotional depth between them. At times I felt their relationship moved forward quicker than the feelings on the page did, and a couple of the side character choices didn't completely work for me.

Still, this was another really enjoyable read from Sherry Blake and one I struggled to put down. If you enjoy mafia romance with possessive men and a strong FMC who refuses to be walked over, this is definitely worth picking up.

I honestly don’t even know where to start. I was so excited for Valentino’s book because he had already caught my attention in the previous books, even with the little we knew about him.

I’d definitely say this was a very emotional read. Amanda’s relationship with her family or rather, the lack of one was portrayed really well and added so much depth to her character. And then there was what happened to Amanda… I won’t go into any details because I really don’t want to accidentally spoil anything and take away from someone else’s reading experience.

I also really loved Amanda’s maturity. When the moment came, she didn’t stay quiet - she told Valentino exactly what he needed to hear and finally made him open his eyes, haha. I really appreciated that about her character.

I already really enjoy the author’s writing style, but with this book, I honestly felt like it was on an even higher level. The emotions, the characters, and their relationships were written beautifully, and the story completely pulled me in.

And of course, we get that little teaser for Luca’s book at the end… and now I genuinely have no idea how I’m supposed to wait until it comes out.

Absolutely loved this one!

ARC Review:

Sherry Blake has done it again. Valentino, the man that you are. I can’t wait for everyone to read about you. He’s controlled, dangerous, protective, and so protective and possessive when it comes to Amanda. I loved picturing him being jealous, especially when another man gets too close to her. He tries to keep his distance, but you can tell he’s fighting his feelings, and that just made the tension between them and the build of their relationship even better.

And Amanda is his match for real. She’s independent, confident, witty, smart, and not at all intimidated by Valentino. She pushes back, calls him out, and isn’t afraid to hold her own, which made their chemistry even better. I also loved seeing the softer side of her because underneath all that confidence, there’s a vulnerability that made me really want to see her get everything she deserved.

But these two together were everything and is what sold this book for me. He’s possessive and protective, she’s fiery and independent, and the tension between them is SO good. She likes to argue which is my favorite thing about her. If you love dark mafia romance, a slow burn, age gap, chemistry, and a hero who gets deliciously jealous over his woman, you definitely need to read Valentino.

I was so in love with Valentino's character, it's not even funny. The book had amazing plot and suspense. The banter between Amanda and Valentino was great, considering Valentino is not much of a talker. The story moved at a great pace up until the end. It felt a bit rushed for me. One thing the author is amazing at is throwing in curveballs when you least expect it because that betrayal cut deep. This is a more plot driven story but we still got some spice in. When it hits, Valentino will make you scream. Literally.

The few things that brought my rating down one star was feeling like the ending was rushed. We already know Valentino was down bad for Amanda. I didn't see the need to rush it. Also, I did not like the way Amanda described her sex life. Sleeping with anyone who gave her attention, even married men, as long as they were honest. Gave me the biggest ick. I understand she has deep rooted issues of neglect, but I could have done without that.

Overall, the book itself was great. Just a few small details that missed the mark for me. I still definitely recommend it because I did enjoy the book.

"If you tell me this is a mistake," she whispers, "I will break your nose."

First off, I love Amanda. She is Vittoria's best friend and knows the Sartori's are into ..something but has never asked the question to get the answer. I've always loved Amanda's personality from her peek-a-boo'ing in previous books but this book obviously focuses so much more on her background. The banter in this is top notch, even if Valentino has the emotional range of a spoon sometimes. Amanda is hilarious, bright, and just sunshine in human form. Valentino is her dark match. Amanda is 25 and Valentino is 38. I loved the slow burn, I loved the age gap, and I love how well the ridiculousness of an unrequited crush on an older man when you're 15 years old was written. I also love that Valentino is completely aware of the age gap, the fact that Amanda is his little cousin's best friend, and respects that for the longest time. For as big bad mafia man as he is, he's a good dude.

Her friendship with Vittoria is top tier.

At this point in the series, I almost need a family tree because keeping track of everyone gets busy.

ARC Review

Thank you Sherry Blake and team for giving me this ARC to review❤️

Valentino is Book 7 in the Santori Syndicate Series.

When Amanda (FMC) first appeared in the book Vittoria, I was hoping we would get her story. Amanda is known for her bubbly and happy personality, so I did not expect her to be paired with Valentino (MMC), who is the complete opposite. Valentino is a man of few words and way too serious.

It turns out Amanda and Valentino were perfect for each other.

After Valentino rescues Amanda from a traumatizing situation, he makes it his mission to protect her and love her at any cost.
I wouldn’t call Valentino shy, but he was definitely more reserved, so it was truly amazing to read how he started coming out of his shell more because of Amanda.

The storyline was engaging and easy to follow. The mystery and suspense surrounding the plot had me on my toes.
Overall, this was a good read and a great addition to the series.

Congratulations, Sherry Blake, on your newest release! ❤️
Can’t wait to read Luca.

Review of Valentino ARC

This is the book that I have been unknowingly waiting for and secretly searching for in all of my fav authors yet I found it here in Valentino. I mean the tension, the angst, the love, the chemistry that I try so hard to find in books these days was allllllll hereeee. And I loooooovvveedd itttt. Books hardly become comfort read for me. And this one definitely is.

Valentino is the man you think about when you sleep at night. Calm, composed, a boss under a boss, ready to die for you and in bed🔥🔥🔥🔥.

Their chemistry was off the charts. Their love was pure fire, heart wrenching and so so strong.

The best part for me was that, the author didn't drag the angst and pining for at least 5 to 6 chapters which usually bores me to death. But they acted upon their feeling perfectly; not to short not to dragged.

The story didn't feel rushed nor did it feel that everything is happening too fast although, it was happening in the span of mere hours but the balalnce between those was just perfect.

This book def was a chef's kiss.

I received an early copy of this book and I am THRILLED I got my hands on it. Valentino is EVERYTHING. The chemistry between Valentino and Amanda was beautifully written. Without giving too much away, I feel Amanda's story of finding her voice and learning to say "no" is something so many of us can relate to.

Valentino never smiles, but his rare smile and the little curl of the edge of his mouth is purely for Amanda (and his momma, of course). I love how much the men in this series love their mommas!

The love story and history between V and A, and how they both wanted each other unbeknownst to the other, was so well written. I love that despite her longing for Valentino, Amanda still focused on being her own person. She dated, had sex, and had her own career instead of waiting around, hoping he would one day notice her.

Lastly, all I will say is I need to go plan 10 days in Rome. 🤭

I did love Valentino and Amanda's story and I love that he finally got not only his HEA but some closure on the events that happened in his past and at one point I felt the emotion and got choked up, however... once again we are left with questions unanswered not only from this book but still from previous books and instead of clearing some of it up we now have an Unknown POV...
how many books must we get through before this is all resolved. it just makes for less enjoyable reading when you have to keep remembering what has happened in the past and what is still lingering.. IMO of course.

I did feel this one has a bit more spice and the beginning of the story took to much time and the ending seemed rushed again.

Overall, I am still committed to these books and think they are a good read, but would just like to have some questions answered.

thank you again for the opportunity to read this one in advance.

Another outstanding book by Sherry even though I ugly cried.

The chemistry between the characters is so good. They've both been fighting feels for years and the build up to them finally admitting it to each other was so good!

I felt so sorry for Amanda and her upbringing, she puts on such a brave face and all she wants is to be chosen. I also absolutely loved her sassy character. The way she wasn't afraid to stand up to Valentino and his reactions to her defiance was just the best.

The possessiveness that Valentino had for Amanda had me swooning.

They finally have their moment but then he has to leave to keep her safe and my heart shattered for both of them. To finally be together and then torn apart 💔

I could not put this book down. The suspense had me hooked and I couldn’t stop turning the pages to find out how their story ended. I was so excited for Valentinos book and it was everything that I hoped it was!

I had really high expectations for Amanda and Valentino’s story. The tension between them was obvious from the beginning, but unfortunately, it never really went anywhere for quite a while. I did enjoy the Italian setting, though. And in general, following Amanda as she pursued her dream of working in the fashion industry was really interesting, but the whole situation with the models felt pretty suspicious and questionable to me. Valentino is genuinely obsessed with her, which I actually found entertaining. However, once they finally got together and started being honest with each other, I expected a lot more. Everything suddenly moved so fast and felt incredibly rushed and hectic, especially considering how little seemed to happen in the beginning. It felt like the story took forever to build up the tension, only to rush through the payoff. I really wish the pacing had been more balanced.

ARC REVIEW - SPOILERS

Another delve into the Sartori syndicate.
Amanda has loved Valentino since she was 15. He noticed her and fell for her in her twenties. Age and distance kept them apart until……….
One night at a gala, Amanda is assaulted and rescued by Valentino. He kills a Mafia boss’ son in doing so. He keeps her safe and they realise they have feelings for each other.
Amanda is a ball of beautiful energy, loud in the best ways and always optimistic, she goes out of her way to support those around her. But is she truly happy?
Valentino is a quiet reserved man, 13 years older and the more time he spends protecting her the harder he falls.
The build each other up in their own way and fall in love.
The grieving Mafia boss kidnaps Amanda and Valentino trades himself for his love.
A story heavy on the mafia which I LOVE, heavy on the betrayal - it will shock you when you find out who it is, heavy on the love and amazing spice! And the HEA.
Sherry Blake has written this so beautifully, I got completely embroiled in it and read the Arc in 36 hours.

Valentino (38) & Amanda (25).

The attraction and the longing was there for years but it felt wrong for Val to act on it. Until the circumstances brought them together in Milan and he decided to stop hiding.

I liked both MCs, Val probably more than Amanda. It was nice that a FMC was quite experienced though, we don’t see that often. But despite the fact that I enjoyed the book, some things felt rushed (like their get-together) and others dragging or being repeated (like the spicy scenes) more than necessary. I just didn’t feel a lot of chemistry between them. Also the ending was a bit abrupt.

We are left with some questions in the end and I’m looking forward to see if we get the answers in Luca’s story.

-Dual 1st person POV
-Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Overall: 3.5/5 ⭐️ for me.

I received an Adv. Readers version of this book and I have given this honest and voluntary review.

This is the 13th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Valentino and Amanda’s story.
Valentino is a possessive, a man of few words, and is Amanda’s best friends’ cousin. Amanda is working in Italy where she has worked hard for the job she has, but when she questions something, she does not like, her life is in danger. Valentino and Amanda have danced around each other for a long time, but he comes to her rescue when she needs him the most.
This is a well written easy to read, slow burn, action packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, tension, angst, drama, danger, suspense, intrigue, forced proximity, mystery, sacrifices, challenges, touch her a die, an age gap, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable, dark mafia romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Sherry Blake is a new to me author, so I went in to this story not expecting anything good.

BOY WAS I SURPRISED!!!

Valentino grabbed my attention from the moment I read the first sentence, and it didn’t let go!!

I could cut the tension between Valentino and Amanda from the first time they were face to face.

I love their love story, and I love how they were able to overcome all of their struggles to be together. He was able to help her in ways that were subtle but strong. Amanda needed to be seen, and he saw her. She needed someone to stay, and despite his own personal demons, and with a few struggles along the way, he stayed. For her, he stayed.

I am now going to go back and read Ms. Blake’s other books, because if they’re anything like this one, they’ll definitely be worth the read!!

Oh Valentino—I’ve been so excited for this book. I don’t want to say it was less dramatic than Bruno’s or Dante’s because there IS a good bit of drama, but it just felt softer to me somehow. In a good way. Maybe it’s because Valentino became soft for Amanda, I’m not sure, but I like that each book in this series strikes me a bit differently. It keeps it interesting.

I like how much we get inside Amanda’s head. I felt like I really understood her. I liked the moments with the Sartori family a lot and that we saw a bit of Vittoria and Amanda’s dynamic. Obviously loved Valentino and Amanda’s relationship as well. She has a big personality but he can definitely handle her. Overall really great read, looking forward to the next installment!

Valentino by Sherry Blake hooked me from the very beginning. The story was very intriguing and so beautifully written, drawing you in and making it nearly impossible to put down. One of the parts that stood out to me most was Amanda’s reflections on her younger years and her longing for attention, regardless of where—or who—it came from. Those moments felt incredibly raw and emotional, giving her character so much depth and making her journey all the more heartbreaking. There were moments throughout the story that genuinely broke my heart, and I found myself completely invested in what would happen next. Valentino was my favourite!! It was an emotional, captivating read that kept me turning the pages long after I should have put the book down.

Valentino is a man of few words and he’s perfectly as ease with that, much to the frustration of Amanda. She’s currently in Italy, finally getting the job she worked tirelessly for. Seeing something she doesn’t like Amanda asked questions she shouldn’t and the resulting danger is far closer to home than imagined. Valentino and Amanda have been circling each other for years and Valentino can no longer deny the attraction between them, even if it involves a few feelings he’s not prepared for. The family drama and danger that spans two continents and powerful families ramps up as the unrequited slow burn love between Amanda and Valentino finally explodes in this satisfying read. Thanks to the author for the opportunity to read and review her work.

I love this world so much. The found family, the absolute devotion to one another. Even Pietro laughed at how much things have changed. They’re all so domesticated now with wives and kids.
What struck me about Valentino & Amanda is the intimacy between them. Even in just a look between them, it speaks volumes. I love how he refuses to let her make herself small anymore.
The reunion! THE REUNION!!!!! 😢
I can’t wait for Luca’s story. What he did for Amanda…… 🩷

“She stares at me for a long moment, and then she pulls my mouth down to hers and kisses me like she’s trying to leave a mark to identify me by later. When she breaks away, she settles against my chest, her ear over my heart, her fist still knotted in my shirt”.

I received an Advanced Reading Copy—thank you, Sherry Blake! This is my honest and voluntary review.

To say I devoured Valentino wouldn’t even come close to describing how I took this book by storm! 🔥 I absolutely loved the storyline and kept finding myself surprised by what happened next.

FMC didn’t get on my nerves once, which is saying something because we all know that doesn’t always happen with FMCs! 😂

This book has ALL the tropes I love:
🔥 Age gap
🔥 Touch her and die
🔥 Forced proximity
🔥 Mafia drama
🔥 Wanting to feel loved and wanted
🔥 No cheating
🔥 Betrayal that had my head spinning
🔥 And, of course, an HEA! ❤️

If you love a good mafia romance packed with twists, spice, drama, and a couple you can root for, read this one today! You won’t regret it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

The Sartori family is back! ❤️ And Sherry Blake definitely doesn’t disappoint.

As always, the writing is smooth and easy to get into, and I was hooked from the start. It’s a really easy read.

I really liked Valentino and Amanda. They have great chemistry, especially knowing they’ve been attracted to each other for years. I found Amanda quite a sad character.

This isn’t my favourite book in the series, but I still really enjoyed it.

I’m not going to lie, though, I was a bit confused by the whole Elio storyline. I’m not really sure what the point of it was, as it didn’t seem to go anywhere and, for me, it wasn’t really necessary.

That aside, I enjoyed Valentino and I’m definitely looking forward to Luca’s story!

Thank you for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Wow. Where do I start? Let’s start with this book, this love story, gets all the stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this family. Every book in the series is my favorite until the next one comes out and then I find a new favorite. But Valentino and Amanda? I just need to sit in this glow for a bit and savor the feeling of rightness.

I’m not going to leave any spoilers (I personally don’t like reviews that do), but I will say there is a question left to be answered and there is a new love story coming. ♥️
