Simon Jefferson is more than just the delicious drummer for world-famous rock band ProVokaTiv. With a net worth of $500 million, his obsession with business shows no signs of stopping. So when beautiful, blond-haired Jessie Martineau asks him for help with her humanitarian cause, he sees a chance to build his new record label through a charity concert in Africa. He just didn’t expect Jessie to challenge every business decision he makes, every dollar he spends, or the mask he's built to protect himself.. After years of hard work, Jessie Martineau is shocked when her master’s thesis is rejected. To prove her professors wrong, she’s determined to make a difference and help eradicate Ebola in Africa. With help from Simon and his star power, her goals are finally within reach. She may not agree with his impersonal approach, but she can’t help being distracted by his piercing blue eyes and hot body. As she fights to keep the focus on the humanitarian side of the concert, Simon tempts her at every turn.Jessie can’t deny her attraction to the drummer, but as their sexual tension boils over, Simon will have to learn to look beyond his bottom line. If she can’t convince him there’s more to life than profit, she’ll have proven her professors right and lost Simon forever.
Cara Nelson is the author of the bestselling 'Men of the Capital' series. Her books hit the Amazon store in the summer of 2014 and have since been enjoyed by over 50,000 readers! She is known for her bold characters, hilariously witty dialogue and touching romances.
Interested in a fun, light and breezy read? Her readers recommend you start with 'The Billionaire's Hotline'.
While these books are billed as rock star romances, they are really just contemporary romances where the main character happens to be in a band. The band members have very little interaction with each other. In fact their girlfriends have a much closer relationship than the band members. At least this book focuses on the leads organizing a music festival to raise money to eradicate ebola with potential botany cures. An interesting idea, if it could work. Jessie & Simon had a little more spark than the previous books. I enjoyed Jessie's printed and bound proposal given to Simon in an effort to declare her desire for a lasting relationship, kind of cute.
I loved Jessie and Simons story of reaching out to help a cause/raising money to help others, learning more about each other, and falling in love with each other. Very enlightening, emotional story. 5 stars
So much fun. Simon is all business; Jessie is all heart. The two come together in unusual ways and that makes this fun and interesting and best of all a bit unpredictable.
