Angel is an un assuming student with a big voice and when her family and best friends Ed and Fi all cajole her into entering a tv talent show to become the front woman for a band she begrudgingly enters. Cue to ten years later where she has been a huge star.
She feels ill and is losing her voice and stamina.
A life changing diagnosis sends her home to her little Scottish village.
Her parents and friends rally round her and she makes some new friends along the way.
This is a story of love, friendship and determination. It’s a great book and it was lovely to have some cameos from Bella and Granny Isla.

While I am deeply thankful to have been given a chance to ARC read this book, I fear I DNF-ed at 40%. What I've read of the book I have liked, but I also realized this is not my kind of read, and I didn't want to force myself to finish it, which may have led to a negative review, and that would have been both unfair and absolutely my fault for forcing myself to go through a book that has been great, even if we didn't click.
I wish the best of lucks to the author, and everyone who reads the book, an amazing read!

Absolutely loved this Angelia has everything she has dreamt of until her dream is cruelly snatched from under her with a chronic condition.
Through the help of friends and family Angelia learns how to change her path.

I have read Lisa Hobman before, the last book was okay but I wasn't blown away, however this book was amazing. I really loved the characters and the descriptions of the surroundings in Skye.
Angelina's Dream was to be a singer, encouraged by her two best friends to enter a televised competition to become the new singer for a rock band, her whole life changed.
10 years later, is her life about to change again, after having some devastating medical news. Escaping to her parents on the Isle of Skye, she must decide what she wants from her life now, and what is important to her.
This is a well written book and I would recommend it for your Summer read pile, escape real life and escape to Skye for a few hours
