Impressive first effort! The author creates a detailed world where the magic and lore are consistent and realistic with no escalating powers to save the characters. I really appreciated the interwoven storylines that came to a satisfying and complete finish. Many characters are memorable and I had several favorites. The storytelling from multiple points of view is an entertaining way to more fully experience the battles and interactions. There were plenty of unexplored details for future adventures to follow. I hope this will become a series. Oh and I loved the extras! (map, author notes, and song)
