In 2166, pure blood rules the world. And Favor's is the rarest of them all.
But she doesn't know this.
Hidden since birth by three guardians, Favor Angeles has never glimpsed the world beyond her sanctuary's shores—the glittering empire built on genetic perfection—and genocide. Born of a human mother and an archangel, her blood makes her priceless—and dangerous.
So when Lucian Black—the boy sent to capture her—finds her on her sixteenth nameday, it should mean the end. Instead, a stolen kiss changes her fate, and he risks his life to let her go.
Forced into exile, Favor seeks refuge with the Hidden Ones, a secret community of outcasts and mystics who should have been erased but are quietly surviving. There, she begins to train in the supernatural gifts she was never allowed to wield. For the first time, she belongs.
Yet two brothers now shape her world:
Lucian, her first kiss and hunter, torn between desire and duty.
Soren, the steady but haunted protector, fighting shadows he will not name.
This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through! It was a fresh take on both a dystopian world and enemies to lovers I’ve never seen done before. I can’t wait for book two to come out!
I read this book in 2 days…. I couldn’t put it down! The premise of having nephilum around us was almost as enticing as the love triangle…. Team Lucian all the way!
