I actually tried immersive reading this book a few months back and got annoyed because the audio was completely different from the book. It was throwing me off so bad that I ended up putting it down. But I was really curious about this story, so I finally came back to it. Come to find out I don't remember reading this one at all because I couldn't remember a single thing 😂.
Ngl, I did not expect that outcome with Cease. Whew... that caught me completely off guard.
Remy was just … Idk how to feel about her honestly. Like why would you do that???
Once this book started wrapping up, the plot twists started rolling in back to back. It definitely picked up toward the end and had me wondering what was about to happen next.
Overall, this isn't one of my faves by A&J, even though it's one of their earlier books. I still enjoyed it, but it doesn't rank high on my A&J list. It was a solid read, and the ending definitely made the ride worth it.

The audiobook and book are different
The story was okay, but the audiobook had a totally different ending. So I like to read and listen when I can and realized that the end of the audiobook was different. Both endings were shocking and I preferred the audiobook version. Besides that I guessed the plot twist so when it happened I was not shocked. The book also began with foreshadowing so once that happened I just wanted to know what would happen in court.

good story.
Finally I read it after debating whether to read it. It was a page turner for sure. The plot twist got me. I didn’t see that coming at all.
