Five jobs. Three identities. One Tuesday from hell.
Lily Hart just wanted to quit her toxic non-profit job and move up in the world. But when a delay leaves her unable to resign before her shiny new remote gig begins, she does what any reasonable person would do: she keeps both jobs. Just temporarily.
But then comes a third job. And a fourth. And a fifth.
Soon, Lily is juggling five laptops, fake accents, and multiple identities, moonlighting as a posh Brit, an Aussie expat, and—somehow—her own twin brother. The paychecks are piling up, and her operation is running smoothly. Except for two small problems: Greg, a scheming coworker with a serious grudge, and Theo, a handsome British stranger Lily can’t quite forget.
As the lies pile up, so do the close calls. Especially when she realizes Theo is one of her bosses. Suddenly, keeping five jobs from overlapping becomes a full-time job in itself. Then, three of Lily’s employers end up in the same room at a corporate awards gala, and it’s wigs on, stories straight, and an identity crisis that’s about to become an HR nightmare.
See You Next Tuesday is a wildly funny, whip-smart caper about ambition, burnout, identity, and falling in love when you’re pretending to be absolutely everyone but yourself.

Thank you to the author, Jacqueline Parrish, for this advanced reader’s copy!
This book had me stressed out and laughing at the same time. The premise was so unique — I haven’t read anything like it before, and honestly, it’s my nightmare 😂 I loved the FMC Lily; she has a heart of gold and some truly insane drive and organizational skills.
I loved that this story included themes of friendship, a little romance, and a workplace vendetta, all mixed with a big dose of humour. And it was set in Canada! 🇨🇦
See You Next Tuesday was a fun, easy read that I would definitely recommend!
Entertaining, absurd, funny and at times scarily realistic.
Lily Hart has captured my heart. I’ve lived some of the less absurd parts of her life and can understand how she started her predicament. Then, well, maybe I was yelling helpful things to the pages as I read, which weren’t heeded. 🤣
There is humour, friendship, longing and a decent amount of silliness in these pages and I loved every moment.
CEO-gre might just be my new favourite term, though hoping I never have to need it.
Anyone who has worked a corporate job has known a Greg, though luckily Lily has Daphne, Claire and hopefully Theo on her side.
As an added bonus, it’s set in Toronto. I always love 🇨🇦 representation and it’s fun to see the places you know on the page.
In Jacqueline Parrish, I have found a new favourite author.
Thank you to the author for a physical ARC!! A workplace drama, but not the one you expect… if you had the opportunity to make five times your regular salary, would you? All it takes is… five different jobs 😅
Lily wants to leave her low-paying non-profit remote job, and when she receives an offer for another remote job, she is ready to resign. But there’s a holdup with her background check, and wanting to be responsible, she waits to resign until she gets the all-clear. Except that doesn’t come until the Friday before she’s supposed to start… so she decides to work both jobs, just for two weeks. When she sees her direct deposits hit for those two weeks, she realizes she can make a lot of money if she can keep this up - and even more if she can take on more jobs. All of a sudden, she’s juggling five jobs, three personas, two fake accents, all including pretending to be a set of twins?! What ensues is stressful, funny, anxiety-inducing, and overall more than she bargained for. I really enjoyed this one, and found the story so entertaining and fun. The mix of Lily’s work experience and her home life with her two roommates, plus a side of romance as well as a workplace vendetta, made for such a fun, fast-paced read. As a remote corporate girlie, this book had me giggling out loud!
Such a fun, light read! I loved the premise. Lily’s different personas and the mishaps that ensue are hilarious (and a bit anxiety-inducing, but worth the feeling).
My only wish is that it was a bit longer and the romance was built out a bit more.
Love that it took place in Toronto, and is written by an Indigenous Canadian author.
This was such a fun read! I honestly don't know how Lily kept five jobs and all her fake identities straight, but I couldn't stop turning the pages to find out.
The workplace humor was spot on, Greg was infuriating, and I loved Lily's friends. It's more of a workplace comedy than a rom-com, but that's what made it so enjoyable. A perfect book if you need something funny and entertaining
This is a fun book to read. How Lily was able to juggle all the jobs and LAPTOPS (the setup must have been crazy) I just don’t know how she did it, but boy the money was good!
I can’t imagine what she felt during the times she was almost caught and was caught! My heart dropped! And, Greg, he should have been fired on the spot! What a complete Jerk!
Love the ending! This got me out of my reading slump! Thank you @JacquelineParrish for the Advance Readers Copy! ❤️
a funny charming story with a little romance sprinkled in!
took a little for the story to start for me but once it got going I didn’t want to put it down! A fun and easy read with the perfect amount of humor for the chaos in the story along with a handsome British man? I ate this up!
I received an advance reading copy of See You Next Tuesday from the author. This is my honest review.
The idea of someone juggling multiple jobs and creating different identities isn’t something I’ve come across in a book yet, and it definitely made me curious to see how everything would unfold. I think it is a very relevant issue right now in the corporate world and I appreciated that the author fully committed to it.
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work for me.
I struggled to fully understand Lily’s motivations throughout the story. While her dream was clearly important to her, I found myself wanting more background into why it mattered so deeply, as that emotional foundation would have helped me better understand the increasingly risky choices she made. As the number of jobs and identities grew, it became harder for me to suspend my disbelief, and I found myself questioning many of her decisions rather than becoming invested in them.
I also would have liked a little more emotional depth, particularly toward the end. Some of the conversations I was most interested in seeing happened off the page.
Despite my overall experience, I can appreciate that the author wasn’t afraid to fully lean into this idea. There were even moments where I found myself wondering what I would do in a similar situation (e.g. student loans)!
While this one ultimately wasn’t for me, readers who enjoy over-the-top contemporary fiction may have a different experience.
📖 See You Next Tuesday ✏️ By Jacqueline A. Parrish ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book isn't like anything I've read before. While it's categorized as a RomCom, it's definitely more com than rom.
When I first read the description, I thought Lily reminded me of myself many moons ago... working at a toxic nonprofit, leaving to juggle a million side hustles. But no. Lily is far more unhinged than I ever was.
I've read plenty of books with delightfully chaotic characters, but Lily may take the crown. Working two full-time remote jobs? Sure, that's believable. But five?! Watching her desperately try to keep all the plates spinning while chasing her dream of opening a doggy daycare was absolute chaos in the best way. I spent half the book laughing and the other half wondering how she hadn't completely lost it and what the heck is she thinking.
I also loved Lily's friendships/roommate dynamic. They were easily my favorite part of the story. I just wish we'd gotten a little more time getting to see the romance develop, because it took a backseat to all the wonderfully ridiculous chaos.
Overall, this was a fun, quirky read that I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for something lighthearted with plenty of laughs.
A HUGE thank you to the author for allowing me a sneak peek of this book!
This book caught my interest because I was looking for something new. And I got that. I really love the cozy humor and the workplace dynamic. I felt I was experiencing it myself. Lily is funny and I feel like any one of us could get wrapped up in that type of situation.
I was so mad Greg caught her by the way. And the PowerPoint presentation was diabolical and I lt had my skin crawling.
This book is a quick read good if you’re wanting to experience that 20 to 30 year-old life where you’re just trying to make ends meet. Also make a dream happen and figure out a way to do it that isn’t exactly illegal but makes you bend yourself a little bit.
Now I liked this book, and you can definitely read this on the beach and I would definitely read this at the beach or the airport. The only thing that I was wishing for is if there was a little more to it, that would be the only thing I asked. Thats why you see the three star everything else I loved I think this read like something I could watch on TV.

✨ Book Review | See You Next Tuesday by Jacqueline Parrish ✨
A huge thank you to the author for sending me a physical ARC! 💛
I absolutely devoured this book. I couldn't put it down! From the very first chapter, I was hooked, and the humour had me laughing out loud. It perfectly captures the chaos, stress, and absurdity of everyday life in the most relatable way.
Lily was such a lovable main character, I related to her in so many ways, especially when it came to juggling a million different responsibilities. If you've ever felt like you're wearing every hat imaginable, this book will make you feel seen.
As a rom-com lover, this was everything I wanted: funny, charming, relatable, and full of heart. It reminded me why I love getting completely lost in a cozy romance and binge-reading "just one more chapter" until suddenly it's 2 a.m. 😅
If you're looking for a laugh-out-loud, feel-good rom-com to add to your summer TBR, See You Next Tuesday deserves a spot. 💕
And wow Lily definitely takes multitasking to a whole new level!! 😅🤯
This is very much a character-driven story with a touch of delightful romance woven throughout. Lily had me stressed at times as she juggled multiple jobs, endless responsibilities, and the constant fear of everything crashing down around her. It was interesting seeing Lily navigate different roles and personas and the consequences of all the moving parts. Her situation creates some humorous moments beneath the chaos.
I loved that it was set in Toronto with so many mentions of places, parks and more.
If you enjoy character-driven contemporary fiction with humour, heart, and a side of romance, this one is worth picking up. Just be prepared to feel a little stressed on Lily’s behalf as she attempts the impossible! 😅📚💕
Thank you to the author for an arc copy of See You Next Tuesday !!
4.5 stars - Canadian Author! Honest review in exchange for a physical ARC
See You Next Tuesday was one of the most unique and entertaining books I’ve read in a while. The premise alone had me hooked, and somehow it managed to be even more chaotic, hilarious, and clever than I expected. Watching Lily juggle five jobs, multiple identities, fake accents, and increasingly impossible situations was equal parts stressful and laugh-out-loud funny.
The romance added a sweet layer to the chaos, and I enjoyed how it developed alongside Lily’s journey of figuring out who she really was.
If you enjoy workplace rom-coms, mistaken identities, laugh-out-loud chaos, and stories about finding yourself while your life completely unravels, I’d definitely recommend picking this one up. It was smart, original, and an absolute blast from start to finish.
See You Next Tuesday was not at all what I expected—in the best way. It was so different from anything I’ve read before, and I ended up loving it.
As someone who works in HR, Lily juggling five jobs made me incredibly anxious. I just wanted things to work out for her! Even with all that stress, I couldn’t put the book down because it kept me completely invested from start to finish.
I loved the romance between Lily and Theo, and one of my favorite parts was the friendship she shared with her roommates, Claire and Daphne. Their bond added so much to the story.
Greg definitely wasn’t my favorite character, but I was secretly hoping he’d make one last appearance near the end, but I was still really happy with how everything wrapped up especially after all of Lily’s hard work.

I loved See You Next Tuesday! I applied to read this as an ARC because the premise sounded so intriguing (and also like a logistical nightmare?!?!?) but what really did it for me was Lily’s heart of gold. The only reason homegirl got herself in this predicament was because she was trying to do right by her coworkers and the people she served at her nonprofit. But man I could not put this one down, I just had to know what happened! Thank you Jacqueline Parrish for the opportunity to read this as an ARC!! 🩷📚
Lily has somehow found herself doing 5 jobs, with 3 different names and accents. You can totally see how the slippery slope happens - it starts with "I'll just help them transition for two weeks" and ends with "I am now three different people with 5 pay cheques." The gala climax is such a perfect, high-stakes way to bring all those spinning plates crashing down. I love her roommates who end up helping her manage the chaos. I found myself feeling second hand anxiety for Lily but I was giggling through the chaos as well. Super fun read.
Thank you so much to Jacqueline Parrish for the advance reader's copy!
This book had me stressed and laughing at the same time! It was my first rom-com and I really enjoyed it. Lily Hart definitely got in over her head and that's what had me stressed out, five FULL TIME jobs is no easy feat. The girl has insane drive, i'll tell you that. The concept of this story is nothing like i've read before and I definitely recommend you read to see what exactly it is Lily got herself into
This book was an absolute JOURNEY! I mean that it the best way possible. As soon as you think there simply can't be more chaos, there it is! If you think your life is unhinged and chaotic, let me introduce you to Lily Hart.
I was fortunate enough to recieve an ARC of this book and I can honestly say I could not put it down. 5 stars 🌟 If I could I would give it an extra star for the Canadian representation from an Indigenous author!
Five jobs? I had to know where this was going! It was cute, chaotic, and an easy read. It lost me a bit once the different identities entered the mix, but I was still along for the ride!! I had fun with it, even if some parts felt a little too unrealistic. I'd recommend it if you enjoy light, over-the-top rom-coms that don't take themselves too seriously!
Thank you to Jacqueline A. Parrish for access to this eARC. All opinions are my own and freely given.
I was so excited to have received a physical advanced copy of this book! The premise was so unique and fun. I really enjoyed the author’s writing and how it was set in Toronto. I liked how it included workplace dynamics and work-life balance (our FMC working 5 full time jobs was wild!) The story also includes supportive friendship and also my favourite- some sweet romance!
This is an enjoyable, light-hearted story that keeps you rooting for Lily even though she’s created quite a pickle for herself! The author creates a very modern, youthful premise and tone while keeping it clean (no spice and very little language) and upbeat. I received an advance copy and found it to be a fun beach read, it would also be a good candidate for a girlfriends style book club.
Lily’s whirlwind attempt to balance multiple jobs and completely fake personas had me laughing out loud from start to finish. The story is pure light-hearted joy, fast-paced, witty, and delightfully relatable in its messiness. If you’re looking for a fun, feel-good escape filled with Canadian charm and laugh out loud moments, this is it. I highly recommend it!
This was such a fun read! I was getting into a small slump and this pulled me right out of it! It was a light read but had me feeling stressed for Lily and her chaotic schedule for Tuesday (D-Day). 😅 I loved the setting in Toronto with mentions of the Eaton Centre! It’s a perfect read for the summer especially if you work office/remote jobs, I highly recommend this!
Five jobs. Three identities. One Tuesday from hell.
I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy, and I couldn’t put it down. Lily’s chaotic attempt to juggle multiple jobs and fake personas is laugh-out-loud funny. Total chaotic joy, I highly recommend!
Just the book for the beach read. Keeps you turning the page too see what is going to happen next. Great characters and love that the author took her time to develop the character's. Lots of LOL moments and relatable office politics. I would recommend this book for rom-com/ chic lit lovers.
This was such a fun read and so enjoyable to read. I was lucky to get this as an ARC and am so glad I was able to! Lily having to balance all her jobs had me laughing and this was just a great rom-com to read!
I was sent a physical copy of See You Next Tuesday. It’s a quick read with 235 pages. I love that it has short chapters. It’s a perfect fun read for the summer. I loved Lily. I would definitely read again
This book had me laughing and kicking my feet from chapter one it seemed like. Five jobs, three identities- that just sounds like a crazy kind of day 🫠😅
Thank you to the author for a physical copy. This book was a fun read with tons of sarcasm. What a great one for a summer pick. Hope to see more from this Jacqueline!
