A flash of attraction, the potential for more.

Best-selling author Libby Kay’s sweet fireman romance Flash Point is a playboy redemption story perfect for fans of B.K. Borison’s Lovelight series.

Javier “Javi” Ortiz never has trouble finding a date. The confident fireman enjoys the perks of no-strings hook-ups and his bachelor lifestyle. Yet when a certain blonde moves to Pinegrove, the idea of casual dating fizzles out. Javi is finally ready to settle down, but will he be able to charm his way into her life? Or will his reputation ruin his chance at real love?

Lola Peabody has given up on love. She doesn’t have time for men and their empty promises, especially with her hands full being a single mom and running her own photography business. Her plans do not include finding a man, even a charismatic fireman who treats her and her daughter like queens.

But Pinegrove is a small town, and the pair can’t stay away from each other. From photoshoots and romance book club to quiet walks in the woods, Lola and Javi spend more and more time together.

Could this be happily ever after? Or will their romance burn out faster than a five-alarm fire?

This book didn’t just tap me on the shoulder — it tackled me like a fireman with boundary issues and then smiled like it expected a thank you.

Flash Point is Pinegrove’s latest attempt to ruin my emotional stability by throwing a reformed‑playboy fireman at a single mom who has absolutely NO time for his nonsense — and watching him melt like butter on a hot engine block. Javi Ortiz has been the station’s resident “I don’t do relationships” himbo since forever. The man collects hookups like Pokémon cards and has the confidence of someone who has never once been told no.

Until Lola Peabody moves to town.
Then suddenly Mr. Casual is out here acting like a Victorian maiden catching feelings for the first time.

Lola, meanwhile, is juggling a photography business, single motherhood, and the emotional exhaustion of someone who has been burned so badly she could qualify as charcoal. She is NOT looking for love. She is NOT looking for a fireman. She is NOT looking for Javi’s dimples, forearms, or “I would die for your kid” energy.

And yet Pinegrove is small.
And Javi is persistent.
And her daughter basically adopts him like a stray golden retriever in turnout gear.

Their chemistry is soft, steady, and full of those “oh no, I’m catching feelings and I hate it here” moments — photoshoots, book club, quiet walks, accidental intimacy that feels like more. It’s wholesome chaos. It’s emotional whiplash. It’s adorable.

Javi’s redemption arc?
Shockingly legit.
The man actually grows. Actually tries. Actually shows up.
We love to see it.

Lola’s journey?
A single mom learning she’s allowed to want joy again.
My heart did a little wiggle.

It’s sweet, warm, and full of heart. The small‑town vibes are cozy without being syrupy. Javi’s transformation feels earned. And Lola deserves every good thing that comes her way.

A charming, slow‑burn, firefighter‑meets‑single‑mom romance that leaves you smiling like an idiot and wanting to move to Pinegrove immediately.

Flash Point is the 4th book in the Pinegrove FD series, but can be read alone. The previous main characters pop up throughout the book, but aren't integral to the story of Lola & Javi, the main protagnists in this book.
Lola is a single mum, who moved to the small town of Pinegrove with her young daughter from Atlanta for a new start.
Javier is a firefighter whose single ways have given him a reputation as a ladies' man, but as he approaches his 30s, he is looking to make a change and settle down.
Along the way, they find each other, but take it slow, allowing the other in a little at a time. Their relationship grows, based on friendship and respect.
This is a sweet romance, that will warm your heart and make you smile. It is always lovely to revisit Pinegrove and the residents of this charming small town.

Javi Ortiz is well known around Pinegrove especially with the ladies. Not one to settle, Javi isn't planning to change his single life until Lola Peabody moves to town with her adorable daughter Katie. Can Javi change his ways with Lola, he is finding the more time they spend together the more he wants them in his future.

Lola moves to Pinegrove needing a fresh start. With Katie by her side she is navigating her new life and building her photography business. Then she meets Javi, can she trust in him or will her past sour the chance?

I really liked Lola, the interactions with her daughter are spot on for Katie's age. The meet between Javi and Lila was charming, really fun. Such a wonderful story, I was sad to see it end.

Lola and her daughter, Katie, are moving to their new home, their own house in Pinegrove, GA from their rental house in Atlanta. As Lola is filled with anxiety and nervous about the move, she’s also excited about the move for a fresh start somewhere new. Javi is well known for his bachelor status and not looking to settle down. Until an unexpected encounter at the community center for Hero Day left Javi thinking about other things and maybe even future plans. I love how this book gave me all the warm, fuzzy feelings and I enjoyed the humor and banter throughout as well. All these characters feel real and relatable, even showing vulnerable moments.
While this is the fourth book of the series, it can be read as a standalone. I’ve not read any of the others and didn’t feel like I was missing anything. Libby Kay’s books are always a good heartwarming and cozy feeling type of read. A must read for anyone who loves small town romance that’ll stay with you long after you’ve finished reading it.

- [ ] Lola and her daughter Katie have just moved from Atlanta to Pinegrove. After settling in and having her first assignment, she is given the opportunity to work with the city’s fire department on their upcoming charity event. This charity event could mean big things. However on her first visit to the fire hall she is introduced to Lieutenant Ortiz, or Javi and she instantly feels something. They both feel its for the best to keep this a professional relationship even though they both can feel that there could be more between them. Could this be the start of something real for them for the first time? Javi finally feels like he might want to settle down with Lola because he feels that she is different from the other women he has been with. He wants to find a love like his parents had and like what his brother has. Lola just worries because she doesn’t want to get hurt again but she also doesn’t want her daughter Katie to get hurt. Everything she does is because of her daughter.

Lola is looking for a new start, a place where she and her daughter can put down roots, and she can pursue her career in photography. She wants something better for Katie, a community where they can feel safe and comfortable. When she arrives at Pinegrove, she realises very quickly that she has found just the place. What she doesn't expect is to fall head over heels for a fireman. A fireman who is determined to prove just how much he wants to take care of her and her daughter.

This story just melted my heart literally. It was so cute and unbelievably sweet. The story is just wonderful, and I have to say that it was lovely coming back to Pinegrove again - I read book 2 in this series and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I loved Lola and Katie. I thought they were great characters and their dynamic was just so sweet. I thought Katie was a more believably written kid. Sometimes children in romance novels can be written a little ridiculously in my eyes, where they become little sages, endlessly spouting words of wisdom that the characters hang off of. I loved that she felt like a kid, although it might have been nice to get a bit more of her adjusting to life in a new place. She seemed far too chill about something that was essentially a huge deal and a massive life change.
Javi was just unbelievably dreamy. Green flags all around. I will say there were times that he felt almost too perfect, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it did strain credulity that there were no issues with communication or disagreements. That being said, I did like his overall character; the sweet playfulness was nice, and it was incredibly endearing reading him falling head over heels and suddenly being unable to function.
This book is pretty low stakes, and I think at times I was hoping for a little more drama, a little more tension. But honestly it didn't detract from the story that was told, and by the end I honestly really appreciated such an easy-going, marshmellow-y read.
After reading this, I am hopeful that there is another book in the series, specifically because I have a ship that definitely needs to set sail - I will not give anything away. The writing in this and the previous books in this series is solid, and Kay really knows how to write books that are a delight and a comfort to read.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a low-stakes romance with an unbelievable number of green flags and scenes that come with the very real threat of diabetes. This book is part of a series but easily stands alone. Cannot recommend it enough.

Flash Point by Libby Kay is the fourth book in her Pinegrove FD series, and this series just keeps getting better and better! Following the story of Javier “Javi” Ortiz and Lola Peabody. Javi is a confident firefighter, both in and out of uniform. He is someone who is used to casually dating and even more casual encounters. This was the way that he wanted to continue his life until his path crossed with Lola Peabody, a single mother and photographer who had been hurt in the past and was weary of opening her heart again. Lola is independent as a matter of necessity, taking care of her daughter, and is very closed off with whom she lets into their lives.
Javi and Lola’s relationship starts a little rocky, but his easy charm and confidence, along with being a fireman who’s a teddy bear underneath. Connecting with Lola and her daughter was a big step for him and his growth into the man he was always meant to be. Watching Javi and Lola’s relationship unfold against the backdrop of the fire department adds layers of excitement and tension and allows those who have followed this series to catch glimpses of old characters and, hopefully, new ones in future books. What I liked most about this book was the developing love story, the passion, and the vulnerability. The struggles of Javi and Lola, and the buildup of trust, healing, and learning how to let someone in. With each book in this series, the town of Pinegrove has delved under my skin and made this such a great story to fall into time and time again.
The pacing of this story kept me intrigued from beginning to end. Full of drama to keep the story moving, romance to keep the steam up, and the found family element of Pinegrove that just stole the show. If you are looking for a book with all of these elements, then this is a book, and really a whole series that you need to add to your TBR. Overall, I loved this book and have loved this series from beginning to end, from the small-town vibes, protective heroes, and strong emotional connections to the steam that takes over my Kindle while reading. I can’t wait to see where this series goes from here!

One of my favorite authors is at it again with Flash Point. A sweet romance that keeps one turning the page. The deep emotional connection keeps one interested in the story.
Lola decided it was time to make a real go at life. Packing up and moving her and her daughter to Pinesgrove. A small town that she plans to make her permanent home once she gets her photography business off the ground. She’s made 1 contact, that she hopes leads to many many more. She’s good at what she does and the work speaks for itself. Lola finds herself in a position to land the job to create a charity calendar for the local fire department. Little did she know this one job would change her life.
Javier the fire department’s playboy. Well used to be. Has been navigating life in the most interesting ways. He’s had plenty of encounters with women, and while living life the best way he knows how. He stumbled across/joined a book club that is all about discussing romance novels. He secretly loved every aspect of the book club as well. Was that him maturing?
Was the book club a sign that maybe he could have something more with the right person?
Which is why he moved on from the previous lifestyle?
Or was it Lola, the photographer he hired to take the photos for the station’s calendar?
Lola was going to change his life in ways he never expected. But he was eager to find out. Little does he know that they have 1 thing deeply in common. Having Martha on tv, was a tool they both used to stay close to their moms’. Neither could really cook but it was those memories were enough to always have it on as noise in the background.
Anyone who has read this author before will not be disappointed. And if this is your first introduction, my question for you is: What are you waiting for? It’s time to take a leap and trust me when I say you will love it!

Flash Point (A Pinegrove FD Novel #4) by Libby Kay

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Flash Point is the fourth book in A Pinegrove FD Series. I’ve read a book in the series already and couldn’t wait to read this one. Once again I’m amazed by the fact that the author can still drag me into a book.

Lola is a single mother and wants to move out of Atlanta to give her daughter a better life. She buys herself a house in Pinegrove and moves her business there. Getting a job was important to her and when she is given the opportunity to do the firefighter calendar she immediately takes it. She then finds herself falling for the firefighter she’d been emailing back and forth with. Only she doesn’t know what is going to happen if she gives herself over to her heart. The quote I chose for her is this: “Give me ten minutes to get ready, and then it’s time to head out. Maybe you should have a snack and top off Mr. Flops’ food bowl?”

Javier is the one who is in charge of the station's fundraiser this year. He wants to make it perfect so he wants to do a station calendar. He finds a photographer who is local and also happens to be new to town. They meet while she goes over her plans for the calendar. Making it a family event if they wanted to. Then he meets her daughter when he goes to the community center to give a talk on Hero Day. The quote I chose for him is this: “I want it to go here. I want dance parties at The Pecan Pit; I want walks on my favorite trail at sunset; I want to take Katie to school dances and scare away the boys when the time comes. I want to settle down, Lola. And if you think that’s something you want, I hope you’ll settle down with me.”

Flash Point is the fourth book in the Pinegrove FD series by Libby Kay. It is a sweet, heartwarming contemporary romance- with an opposites attract element, single mother unlucky in love + serial playboy redemption story, small-town setting, a wonderful cast, humour, banter, fun, & finding love unexpectedly.
I have enjoyed all of Ms. Kay’s previous books and know I can rely on her to deliver a heartwarming story that will leave me with all the satisfying warm and fuzzy feelings that I could want from her ‘cozy’ romances. This book was no exception, and had all that charm I have come to expect from her stories – you know, those books that feels like pulling up a cozy blanket on a chilly evening – all warm and comforting, yet with enough ‘weight’ and sparks to keep you turning the pages.
Javier “Javi” Ortiz is a confident, but commitment-averse fireman, whose easy-going bachelor lifestyle is suddenly challenged when he meets someone who makes him rethink everything he thought he wanted. What starts as a flash of attraction quickly deepens into something more meaningful, but the journey is far from smooth. Again, as with her other books, Ms. Kay hits all the emotional beats, making the characters feel real and entirely relatable. And it has just the right mix of playful banter, heartfelt confessions, and moments of vulnerability. The small-town setting adds a lovely backdrop to the story/series.
So, if you enjoy sweet romances with a dash of a redemption arc, a charming MMC who learns to open his heart, and a heroine who knows her worth, then this book will hit all the right notes.
Happy Reading…

I always told myself, as a former 911 dispatcher, that I would never be a "Hose bunny" for a firefighter... But apparently I just didn't meet a Javier!!

Bad boy image but teddy bear feelings?! Literally what more could you ask for! Oh, that's right, Libby Kay hits us with a man who is WILLING TO WORK ON HIMSELF AND TRY.

I am so upset that this is my first time reading Kay's work, and immediately upon finishing I added the three prior companion novels to my TBR.

Javier and Lola come face to face when Lola is hired to shoot photography for her local fire department. Javier has the reputation of being the man no one can pin down, and gives off frat boy vibes and esthetic. That is, until this single mom looking for a new start comes into his atmosphere. I will give him something, he tried and tried hard to get her attention. There was absolutely nothing rushed, forced or unwanted about this courtship. It was slow burn in all the best ways and there were so many organic experiences they were both in, whether or not he forced himself in there is still up for debate! I will always be team Javi, even from the start, sorry Lola! The way he is with Katie, lol as daughter, his green flags left and right, his "I will treat your child like my own" energy... Just SWOOOON!

I could probably go on for days talking about all the feet kick and audible giggling my husband had to endure while reading this, but I will never apologize for it. If you're looking for a small town romance, single mom, dream boat hero and a perfect combination of humor, romance and personal growth- look no further. Bravo!

This is just what I needed … to be in Pinegrove amongst friends and family 🥰my cup is overflowing ❣️

Lola Peabody ( love the name) and her daughter make the move from Atlanta to Pinegrove in hope of a fresh start and as a single mother and photographer she wants to get her daughter settled in and her name out there and she’s off to a good start on both counts 😉

Javi ( Javier) has a reputation for being a ladies man but he’s actually not it’s just the right one hasn’t come along but that’s all about to change when Lola and Katie cross his path 😉

Lola is taking the photos for the fundraiser for the fire station and for the first time Javi is opening his mind to wanting more but getting there was such a treat to be a part of 🤗

Javi first meets Katie at Hero Day and he had me melting at his tenderness , empathy , encouragement and man was he protective of little Katie and I just loved the way he put Jackson in his place 😂 you definitely are our hero Javi 🥰

The book club always makes me laugh and the way they’re invested , the love Javi has for those ladies is one of a kind and Lola and Katie are just what he needed to make a perfect HEA ❣️

I laughed , I cried , I got so invested and I just love when characters feel real because they’re so relatable 🥰 and lKatie girl I just want to hug you and your bunny , if my girls were still little you’d be their bestie for sure 😉

LOVED EVERY PAGE ! Will be shouting about this from mountain tops 😂

PS the cover art is soooooooo on point 📚❣️

Flash Point (A Pinegrove FD Novel Book 4) Flash Point by Libby Kay

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Flash Point is the fourth book in the Pinegrove FD series, but the first book that I have read by author Libby Kay. This book was absolutely adorable. I loved both Lola and Javi from the beginning. Their instant connection was picture perfect. Lola is a photographer that is hired by the Pinegrove Fire Department to produce a wholesome, family friendly calendar for their annual fundraiser. The lines between a professional and personal relationship start to blur early on between Lola and Javi when Javi comes to the rescue for Lola's daughter Katie. I loved the character growth throughout the book. The vulnerability that both Javi and Lola show is just so realistic. Now that I have read this book I have to go back and read the first three in the series!

This is the 4th book in the series and can be read as a stand alone. So, if this is the first book in the series that you pick up that okay. This book is very small town romance with a fresh start. I love how the author writes in a way that is relatable to the reader. If you haven't lived in a small town, you will definitely get the feel for it with this book. The FMC, Lola, decides that her and her daughter need a fresh start and buys a house in a small town. She is wanting to really focus on her photography business and sends her daughter to summer camp. She ends up leaving her best friend, which I can relate too, and tries to start fresh with new people and scenery. She is tasked to do a photoshoot as a fundraiser, which happens to be a hunky firefighters calendar. This is where she meets MMC, Javi, who is not a commitment type of man. He is known as the towns most eligible bachelor but one that will never settle. Spark fly when they meet and there is banter in this book that will have you laughing right along with them. There is romance, but also the push and pull of what is professional and not. This book has everything that you could want in a small town romance. It is very well written. I was able to visualize myself in this small town with them. It is a quick read because you just want to see what happens and get so sucked into the story that you won't want to put it down.

Flash Point is the 4th book on the series and was just as good as the others. I would say that the books should be read in order so you don’t have a spoilers from the previous books / couples.

Javi is finally getting his own book and it’s great. Lola and her adorable daughter Katie has just moved to Pinegrove. Lola is a photographer and at her first job, they mention giving her info to the fire department since they are looking to do a calendar for a fundraiser.

Lola and Javi exchange a few emails and once they meet at the firehouse, there’s an instant attraction. Javi usually falls for anything in a skirt but this was different.

Lola keeps her distance since the fire department is a client and she cannot get involved with someone while they are a client.

Javi then has to go up to the community center for hero day and he meets Katie but has no idea who she is but he steps up and really saves the day and is an absolute hero to Katie.

Katie and Lola start to spend a lot of time with Javi and they are all
Smitten with one another but Lola finds out just how busy Javi has been with all the women In town. As they spend more and more time together, they grow closer and closer every day.
The dance at the community center really seals the deal for this trio.

This was definitely a great read and a great addition to the series.

Flash Point is the fourth book in the Pinegrove FD series. It follows members of the Pinegrove Fire Department in Georgia. This book is Javi’s story. He is known as the department’s playboy.

The way I was anticipating this story.. and the wait was SO worth it! We meet Lola, single mom who has moved to Pinegrove from Atlanta for a more affordable place and a slower pace. She is a photographer and is hired to do the calendar for the FD’s charity event.

Javi does not know what to do with what he feels when he meets Lola. The way he is tongue tied and fumbles over himself is sweet to read. He has been feeling lonely and wondering if he wants something more serious. He gets to know Lola and her daughter and the way they fall in love just seems natural. He is so so good with her daughter and there are definitely a few touching scenes between them.

I really enjoyed Javi’s growth here and how he stood up to those who continually teased him about how many women he’s been with and “why hasn’t he settled down yet” comments. I also liked how those he stood up to apologized and owned up to what they had been saying.

Every book in this series has an animal involved and I’ve found myself looking forward to what will happen with them. The bunny in this book did not disappoint 😂

There is even some forced proximity, which is my cat nip. (I need a chef’s kiss emoji!)

This is a sweet small town romance with humor and a lot of love. I suggest you read the other books in the series, or at least the one before this, so you get Javi’s background. I think the book would hit harder if you did, although you could probably read it as a standalone. But it’s always fun to read in order because previous characters show up and I love that so much!

Also, shout out for an older couple getting married 👏🏻👏🏻 I want more of that.

Thank you for the ARC @libbykayauthor! All opinions are my own.

I LOVE this book! It’s book 4 of 4 in the Pinegrove series. I didn’t think it was possible for the author to top the “Buckeye Falls” series, but she has. Pinegrove is full of wonderful characters. Javi is my favorite. He is silly, but very kind. In juxtaposition to his seemingly carefree, potentially “serial dater” image, Javi is chivalrous and romantic, in the best way. Lola has the potential to be the girl for Javi, but she’s understandably guarded, and unsure of launching into a romance in her new town of residence. Katie, Lola’s young daughter, adds so much charm to this book. Such a lovely little girl with exceptional manners, and a dreamer’s heart. Of course, other Pinegrove characters round out this book with their appearances, as well. I love this author’s descriptions of characters and objects in the book. The details are enough to help you picture the people and atmosphere of Pinegrove. Sometimes, the descriptions make me actually laugh out loud, such as “sundaes that were big enough to require a zoning permit.” Read this book stand-alone to fall in love with Pinegrove, or continue the series to revisit this small town and its romances.

Flash Point is the 4th book in Libby Kay's A Pinegrove FD book series. This was such a feel-good, sweet romance about a single mom who is running her own photography business and meets a handsome fireman when seeking to do a job photographing the firemen (and women) for a calendar. The calendar would be sold to help support the fire department, raising much-needed funds for a new fire truck. The two feel an instant attraction to one another at first sight, but neither is positive of the other's feelings, as Javi is more than a little awkward when he first meets Lola. Getting this job could be a huge help to Lola and her daughter in helping to establish a positive reputation as one of the newest members of Pinegrove. Lola and her daughter have moved to get a fresh start, and are hoping that they can build strong, lasting friendships, as well as build up her portfolio as a new photographer in town. Will she have the time and energy to fulfill her job and navigate a new relationship with the attractive fireman, or will the fire burn out before they ever get started?

This story is by an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by them. One of the things that I enjoy about this author is the creative characters that are written with a lot of heart and soul. I also enjoy their use of details that make me feel as if I am part of the story with the characters. This is a story where the author pulls you into the story from the start. A story about a fireman and a single mom. Lola has given up on love until Javier, a fireman. The more and more time they spend together the stronger their relationship grows. What will fate have in store for these two. This is a story you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed both of these characters and watching their relationship grow is great. They are well developed, engaging and connectable. I had to know what would happen to them next. I also found this story to be fast paced and hard to put down story. An easy and entertaining story that I enjoyed reading from beginning to end. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this story.

Another wonderful book in this series! I love the small town feel and the characters surrounding the local fire department. Lola is ready for a change so she leaves Atlanta and moves to the small town of Pinegrove with her daughter. She is nervous and excited and can’t wait for her daughter to grow up in a small town. Lola is a photographer and takes on a local firm as a client who then passes her name to the Lieutenant in charge of the annual fundraiser. Javi is the local ladies man and is really excited about being in charge of the FD fundraiser. He wants to do a calendar but he wants it to be tasteful. As soon as Lola walks into the meeting Javi is tongue tied, not something his guys are used to. They all give him a hard time but he falls hard and fast. Lola has had some crap relationships, especially with the father of her child, but she needs to open up and wants to let Javi into their lives. We get to catch up on the relationships of the characters from past books and meet Roxie, Lola’s best friend. Hopefully this isn’t the end and we will have more in the series!

I've read a few books by Libby Kay before, and every single one has been a hit for me, so I was excited to finally dive into the Pinegrove series. This was such a sweet, feel-good read. Javi completely won me over, and I loved watching him grow from someone who avoided commitment into someone willing to show up for the people he loved. Lola was easy to root for too, and I appreciated that she didn't immediately let her guard down. Their chemistry felt natural, and I loved that their relationship had time to develop instead of being rushed. The small-town setting, the romance book club, and Javi's relationship with Lola's daughter all made this story feel so warm and cozy. This is the kind of romance that leaves you smiling by the time you turn the last page. Even though this was my first book in the series, it definitely won't be my last because now I want to spend more time in Pinegrove. If you love small-town romances with lovable characters, genuine character growth, and plenty of heart, this one deserves a spot on your shelf!

This is the fourth book in the Pinegrove FD series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone as each story focuses on a different couple.
This is Javi and Lola.
Javi is the fire departments playboy he has never been interested in settling down until Lola came into town.
Lola is a single mum who has moved to Pinegrove. When she meet Javi she is aware of his reputation but the more time they spend together and when Lola sees how good he is with her daughter she starts to see Javi in a different light.
Will Javi’s reputation stop any chance of a relationship between them? How can Javi prove he has changed his playboy ways?

This is a moving story and the way they fall in love happens so naturally that you can picture it happening. The connection and humour between the characters really brings the story to life and makes them feel like they could be people you know.

It is another great read by this author

I have read a few books from this author and she never disappoints. I love a good firefighter romance but she exceeded my expectations as always. This is the fourth book of the very addictive Pinegroove FD series. You could read this book as a standalone but there are previous characters in this book as well. When I got this book I couldn’t put it down until the end. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.

Javier Ortiz loves his job as a firefighter. He is very committed to his job and living the bachelor life. Javi meets the beautiful blonde that just moved into town. He can’t get her off his mind. Lola is a single mom trying to run her own business. She doesn’t have time for a relationship but there is something about Javi she can’t get enough of. He treats her daughter like a little princess but will his reputation tear them apart?

Flash Point is a great new book in the Pinegrove FD Series!

Lola just moved to Pinegrove, hoping for a fresh start with her daughter, Katie. She takes a job as the photographer for the fire department’s fundraiser, which is run by Javier, the lieutenant. When they first meet, there’s an instant spark. Neither Lola nor Javier is looking for love—she’s stopped believing in it, and he’s known as a playboy. But as they spend more time together, it becomes harder for them to ignore their feelings.

This book is a romance, but it’s also full of emotion. Lola and Javi both have complicated pasts that make it hard for them to find their happy ending. I found Lola easy to like and relate to, especially as a caring mom to Katie. Javi won me over with how he treated both Lola and Katie. The epilogue was especially touching.

If you enjoy quirky characters and small-town romance stories, you’ll love this series.

As always, Libby Kay has hit it out of the park. I absolutely love her books, and the Pinegrove FD series is no different. This book is the 4th book in the series, but can be read as a stand-alone (but they are so good, you won't be able to stop there!).

Lola is a single mother and photographer who has just moved herself and her young daughter, Katie, to Pinegrove, GA from Atlanta. Lola has no time for or interest in dating, between Kaity and her photography business, as well as setting up her new home. When she is offered the chance to help the local fire department create a calendar as a fundraiser, Lola meets and must work with Javier.

Javi is a fire fighter and determined bachelor who has seen the pain of losing someone he loves, after the loss of his mother and the effect it's had on his father. Too bad love doesn't only show up when you want it to.

I loved this book and pretty much anything else that Libby Kay writes!

Flash Point (A Pinegrove FD Novel Book) by Libby Kay. This is the sweetest small town romance. It's the story of Lola who has decided to leave everything behind and along with her daughter move to the small town of Pinegrove. She wants to make a fresh start here as soon as she gets her photography business off the ground she will be set. Trying to drum up business for her photography business she starts a calendar with the local firemen one it and this one small move changes her life forever. During the shoot she meets Javier the local firefighting playboy. He loves the ladies and lots of them. When he meets Lola he thinks, maybe he might change, she's sweet and friendly and beautiful. With the encouragement from his brother and Lola's best friend they realize this may be the chance they have both been waiting on. Loved this book and Love this author. Such good, fun, small town romances!

Lola and Katie are off to start a new life in small town Pinegrove. Katie is going to summer camp and Lola is continuing to focus on her photography business. Starting off with a boring contract that pays the bills, she is recommended for a fundraising photoshoot. Upon meeting with the client(s) she knows that this will be a fun experience.

Javier is a full-time firefighter with the Pinegrove Fire Department, he's also Pinegrove's biggest flirt. Yet, he's been picked to handle the Fire Department's yearly fundraiser. When Lola walks in, he's immediately enamored by her. Lola is on guard because of her past and protecting her daughter, Katie. Flames are kindling between these two in the slow-burn romance.

Absolutely love Libby Kay's style and I've enjoyed every single book in the Pinegrove FD series. While these are a series and they build every time, you can read these as standalones.

I am really enjoying this series. Each book keeps getting better and better with each book. In Flash Point Lola Peabody and her daughter Katie move from the house they were living in Atlanta Georgia to Pinegrove. A place she can finally call her own home for her and her daughter and start a fresh life. Javier Ortiz is a firefighter and doesn't really think about giving up his bachelor life until he meets Lola to do a photo shoot of the firefighters at the firehouse he works at. Will they both find love and finally be happy? Just have to read to find out. I love the storyline and the characters and makes it easier to relate to parts of the book. I have been a single mom raising children on my own so I can relate to her in many ways. I could hardly put this book down because I had to read more to see what happens next and how their lives have changed. Thank you for this wonderful series. This is the first of romantic series like this and so far I have enjoyed them all.

Javi Ortiz is well known around Pinegrove. He's a firefighter and heats up relationships faster than a 5 alarm fire to move on to the next lady with his casual dating style. He's quite the ladies man but has recently decided he's ready to slow down and maybe even settle down.

Lola Peabody and her daughter are looking for a quiet, quaint town to live in. Lola is a photographer trying to get herself established in her new life. She's not looking for love or drama!

Pinegrove is a very small community so it's almost impossible not to run into the same people everyday. Lola and Javi seem to find each other all the time and it's soon just easier to get over denial of the feelings and let the relationship go where it will.

A great series and each book can be read as a standalone. Characters from previous books in the series do make small appearances so if you're curious about the relationships, be sure to read them all! You should just read them all anyway!
