Over the many lifetimes he has lived, Chad Harper has only wanted the love of the woman to whom he was soul bonded. He has chosen to journey to the mysterious Council of Souls for if not redemption, then to be released from the soul bond and the woman who has broken his heart over and over again. Rachel Perry, powerful Seer and mother of the Awakener receives a vision of a man from her past, a man she thought long dead, but what she doesn't know is that she just might have to confront a truth that will break her heart.
This is the third book in this series and like the others it is a character driven read with characters that are complex and compelling with realistically portrayed emotional struggles. This is the darkest book by far in my opinion and includes systematic torture, possession, and enough twists and turns in the plot that I was left reeling. But I was also disappointed that this book had no clear and unmistakable ending, and I thought that the way this book ended was more cliffhanger than happy ever or heartbreaking.

Get pulled into her tale of love and one she needs to fight for although the fates may just have other ideas for her. You will be pulled into his fight which he hopes does not end in his death. A fast paced adventure so enjoy it and see what happens next
