A baseball bad boy with anxiety, and a flight attendant who refuses to put down roots collide in this emotional but humor filled sports romance about learning that love is worth staying for.
I saw a post from the author and, in an instant, I downloaded this book on KU and made it my next read. What I didn’t expect was to fall so quickly and completely for these two. I loved every single second of their story and honestly, I wanted even more!
The banter, the sweet moments, and the chemistry between Isla and Killian were absolutely perfect. Isla is such a strong, independent woman sassy, confident, and always ready with a quick comeback. And then there’s Killian, the star pitcher for his team. He’s dealing with anxiety and panic attacks while putting an incredible amount of pressure on himself, and I loved watching Isla become the person who could bring him back to himself. She’s the one who makes him smile, and the way she supports him during those difficult moments was one of my favourite parts of the book.❤️
Isla has her own trauma, and I really appreciated how open and honest they were with each other. Their vulnerability made their connection feel so much deeper and more meaningful. And Isla’s speech for the foundation that helped her? Absolutely destroyed me. I was in tears. 😭
And can we talk about Killian for a second? Because this man is the ultimate sweet cinnamon roll with a filthy mouth… and he’s pierced. Because, obviously. 🥵🔥
I loved the found family in this book, the friendship between the brothers and his teammates and how easy and quickly they accepted Isla as part of them.
Of course, once I finished, I immediately needed to know if there were more books in the series and imagine my surprise when I discovered this is actually book two! Shep and Sutton, who are already together in this book, have their own story in book one. And then there’s Bishop, Killian’s other triplet brother, who will be getting his own book in book three.
Naturally, being the dutiful reader that I am, I immediately saved book one and will be jumping straight into Shep’s story because I need to know everything about him and Sutton.
I loved this book so much. The emotional depth, the humour, the chemistry, the family dynamics, and those softer moments between Isla and Killian all came together perfectly. I’m already impatient for Bishop’s book, but first…
“Third Strike Smitten” is the second book in “The Next Play Series.” Killian Haynes is the starting pitcher for the Portland Lagers. Shepherd Haynes is the starting Quarterback, QB1, for the Portland Rush. Bishop Haynes is the Portland Lagers star catcher. They are the Haynes Triplets….also unofficially called the Haynes Trifecta. The fourth brother is Sebastian, he does not play sport but works for the Portland Rush.
“You’ve got a bad case of sticky balls, Haynesy! You need an ointment for that?” “That curve’s got a kink. Bring her back once she’s been a good girl.” “Relax your shoulders,” she adds, almost conversational now. “You look like you’re trying to bench press the stadium.” “Well, will you look at that? He’s not a train wreck; there’s a goddamn pitcher in there.” “STRIKE THREE!” After having a panic attack before the game….now he has to put up with a heckler in the crowd! Even though he will not admit it, the beautiful red head in the crowd just saved his game. She cut through his anxiety like it was nothing….he voice somehow sliced through the noice of his own thoughts.
Isla Fallon is a flight attendant….she is also a strong, independent and confident woman whom will always stand her ground. On he way home from the baseball game, she receives a message from her boss in regard to a new semi-permanent long term gig. Oh no….she is spending the rest of the season with the Portland Lagers. That mesmerizing stare cutting across the field….
The next morning, when Killian and the team have boarded the private charter to Chicago, he hears a familiar voice….his heckler from the game yesterday. “It can’t be her. It can’t be the same woman who somehow cut through my anxiety with nothing but a few well-timed jokes.” It is her, his teammates, Carter, Brock, and Jude, laugh and advise him that he is in so much trouble! Yeah, he is…. The next day on the mound he is stressed, feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders. Then he hears her voice in the crowd and his shoulders drops just a fraction, the tension easing from his posture. He turns toward their section and looks at her with a hint of a smile. Is Isla the answer to help him with his playing issues…. “Yeah. I think you might have something to do with that.“
This book is everything you expect from a sports romance with a touch of protective alpha male thrown in. Once I started reading, I could not put this book down! This book will charm “the pants off you” and leave you going back for more. It has fun, laughs, intrigue, twists that you do not expect, and physical attraction. You cannot help but fall in love with Killian and Isla.
“It’s the little things. The way he reaches for my hand now without thinking, lacing our fingers together like it’s the most natural thing in the world. The way he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear when we’re sitting on the couch, his touch lingering just a beat too long. The way he kisses my forehead goodnight and then, instead of pulling away, presses his lips there for a moment longer, as if he’s memorizing the feel of my skin.”
I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story, with all the ups, the downs, the friendship, the heartaches and most of all, what love can overcome. From page to page, chapter to chapter, from cover to cover - you will enjoy this story! This book will not disappoint!
Not even three chapters into the first book in this series, I KNEW I needed Killian’s book asap. Killian is such a real MMC who struggles with anxiety and panic attacks, and he’s also the hot bad boy with a fitting reputation.
Killian and Isla helped each other through some things that were hard for them and ofc fell in love along the way. I loved that he fell hard, fast, and unashamedly.
These books (& Susan Renee) are gold with the character involvement and quirkiness, the back and forth between Killian and Isla, the relationships between the brothers and teammates, and Isla’s relationship with Tara were all so so good!
Some of my favorite quotes:
“Well, will you look at that? He’s not a train wreck; there’s a goddamn pitcher in there. Toot toot, motherfuckers!”
“Your fastball has less zip than my grandmother’s wheelchair, Haynesy!”
“Fun fact, Haynesy! Most people take a breath before pitching! Now throw that son of a bitch like your ex just posted engagement photos!”
“Victorian husband is actually incredibly accurate.” He shakes his head, glaring at me, amusement etched across his face. “Don’t encourage them.” “Oh, I absolutely will.” I angle toward him slightly, studying him closer. “Come to think of it, you do have a very ‘don’t speak to me unless you have inherited land’ vibe.”
“Do you just sit around thinking of ways to insult people professionally?” “No, professionally I smile and hand out pretzels. This is recreational.”
“You are genuinely insane.” “And yet,” I say sweetly, lifting my beer toward him, “your ERA improves the second I start talking.”
“Hey, Haynesy?” I look up, meeting her gaze. “Yeah?” “You smiled more tonight.”
“You are the biggest ass-butt of all time, you know that?”
"That's a bold claim." "I'm a bold guy." "Bold," she repeats. "Right. Is that what we're calling it?" "What would you call it?" She considers this for a moment, turning back to the window. "Delusional optimism."
“I suppose I could find sixty-three seconds to spare.”
“So. The infamous Killian Haynes’s bedroom skills. I’m ready to be underwhelmed. Shall I set a timer?”
“Well, well, well,” I purr, pushing myself up for a better look as he sits on his knees in front of me. “The Commissioner comes with accessories. Is this a league-mandated thing?”
I’d say the spice was 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Cannot wait for Bishop in February 2027!!

Being one of the Haynes triplets can't be easy especially with the media scrutiny. Killian loves baseball but the pressure he puts on himself to be perfect all the time is slowly destroying him. Anxiety and tension during the game affects his control and accuracy of his pitches. He starts to worry that his team will see him as a liability and trade him, leaving his brothers is not an option for him. Then one game he is heckled by a gorgeous woman, the heckler gains his attention and his body relaxes. Getting out of his head and into the game, throwing like the star pitcher he is. Was it a fluke or was the heckler his good luck charm?
Isla loved baseball and enjoyed watching a game whenever her flight attendant schedule would allow. She lived life out loud after a life altering accident that changed her forever. She suffered more trauma than most but she was moving forward. Though physically better she still had scars and psychological trauma. Her fears made her run from any type of relationship and kept her moving in her career as well, never staying in one place for too long or becoming attached. She goes wherever the skies call her. One game she saw how tense Killian was and started to heckle him. Who knew her teasing would positively affect his gameplay?
Killian has to admit to his teammates that the heckling helped and was surprised to learn that the woman was now his team's new flight attendant. She would be with them for every away game's flights. Teasing him in and out of the air making him smile and relax. Then she needs a plus one and Killian suggests a fake dating plot to make him appear more settled and he would attend her event as her boyfriend. Soon they were spending time together and not just for the cameras. She was being folded into his family and a part of the team. His teammates and his family adored her and Killian was in love. He suspected that she loved him too but something kept holding her back. She kept the temporary mentality even when Killian offered more. Was her fear of losing more going to destroy them before they had a chance at forever?
I loved Killian because he showed a side of athletes that you often don't see. The real, vulnerable side that is not good for PR. The side that is human, flawed, and facing challenges just like everyone else. So often they are told to man up and push everything down which can lead to burn out or destructive behaviours that can destroy careers. It happens but now more is being done to protect the players overall well-being not just the physical. Ilsa showed us that even when you are scared and the will to fight is gone, you can still rise above it and take a step forward. No matter how small or how terrifying it is, it is still movement, growth, and healing. Sometimes the deepest scars are the emotions that are left behind and fear can do the most damage. I loved that Killian and Ilsa don't hide themselves from each other and they are helping each other heal through support and understanding without trying to fix it for the other. I do wonder what sport Isla played before the accident but with her knowledge of baseball, I wonder if she played too.
Thank you Susan Renee for the ARC and the opportunity to review this wonderful book!
Third Strike Smitten completely won me over. Killian and Isla are the kind of characters who make a romance impossible to put down because they are both so easy to root for, individually and together.
Killian has that irresistible combination of confidence, charm, and swagger, but what really got me was the softer side underneath it all. He is genuinely a good man, and watching him let his guard down made me love him even more. Isla was just as fantastic. She is witty, unapologetically herself, and absolutely hilarious. Her personality had me laughing throughout the book, and I loved that beneath her humor and confidence was a woman who had been through plenty but refused to let it define her.
These two just work. Their chemistry is undeniable, but what I loved most was how naturally they became each other's safe place and support system. There is no feeling like one character is constantly saving the other. They meet each other where they are, bring out the best in one another, and somehow make each other even more lovable. Killian and Isla are the perfect reminder that the best romances are built on more than chemistry. They are built on laughter, trust, vulnerability, and finding the person who makes you feel completely at home.
I love it when an author creates characters who feel like actual people rather than romance archetypes. They are messy, funny, vulnerable, strong, and wonderfully imperfect. Add in the found family dynamic I have come to love from her books, and I was completely invested.
This book gave me everything I wanted: chemistry, spice, humor, heart, and characters I genuinely cared about. I laughed, I swooned, and I absolutely did not want to say goodbye when I reached the end. If you love a romance with unforgettable characters, explosive chemistry, plenty of laughs, and a found family you want to join, Third Strike Smitten needs to be on your TBR.
Susan Renee is one of my favorite authors to read. I can guarantee that no matter what I am picking up from her I absolutely love it. I love it because she puts so much soul into her characters and their stories. Each book in a series is so interconnected and you can just see future possibilities. Susan had me laughing out loud, tearing up, smiling so bright, and reading at 2am because I just could not put the book down.
When this series came out there was just something about Killian that I knew I was going to love. We are introduced to Killian in a very real and personable way that makes him seem human. That is something that Susan does so well. She makes her characters so realistic and you can imagine that you would interact with them on a daily basis. Her characters aren't perfect, just like us, and Killian exemplifies that.
Another one of my main selling points is that there is always a found family vibe. Killian has his brothers but they have expanded their family to include a key group and their spouses add to the family and never take away from it.
When we meet Isla she is my favorite person alive. I want to be her when she is heckling Killian on the mound. She had come up with some of the most creative and hilarious heckles that really and truly helped loosen Killian up.
I canot say enough good about Killian and Isla. This book is a solid ten out of ten! If you read Third Strike Smitten you can expect to see my favorite parts:
"That curves got a kink. Bring her back once she's been a good girl."
"Pitchers are such head cases. Sometimes these guys need to remember they're playing a game, not performing brain surgery."
"I know you think letting someone in means giving them the power to hurt you. But what if it means giving them the power to heal you instead?"
"I failed, Coach, and Im sorry. But Im not sorry for falling in love with you, because f*ck me, I couldn't help it. You're so damn easy to love."
"Somehow you made me realize loving someone isn't the scary part. The scary part is never loving them at all."

It’s official…Susan Renee hit this one out of the park! I’ve loved all of her books, but this one just took the top spot in my eyes. I mean, how can you not love Killian? He’s gorgeous with swagger and charm, and a hidden vulnerable side that will get you right in the feels. Plus, he’s a truly good guy. I double dare you to read this book and not fall for him.
Then there’s Isla. Irreverent, endearing and downright hilarious with her heckling and overall personality, she’s the type of person you want to be friends with. Believe me, there would never be a dull moment with her around. She’s also become one of my favorite heroines. She may be bruised, but she’s stronger than she gives herself credit for, confident in who she is, and sharp as a whip.
The two characters together are fire. They balance each other out so well and become each other’s support system as naturally as breathing. There could not be a more perfect match. Even better? They aren’t cookie-cutter stereotypes. And, I daresay, that’s what Susan does best. She writes real characters that are kryptonite to her readers.
Add in the wonderful found family group that all of her stories have, and you won’t want to put this book down. Seriously. It’s steamy, laugh-out-loud funny and full of heart and hope. Do yourself and favor and read it. Now!
Third Strike Smitten – ARC Review I couldn't put this book down! Susan Renee has crafted a romance that's equal parts hilarious and heartwarming, with banter that had me laughing out loud and rooting for these characters from page one. Hit another one out of the park, Susan!
Killian and Isla's dynamic is absolutely electric. Their witty back-and-forth crackles with chemistry, but what really got me was watching Isla become Killian's anchor—the person who can pull him out of his own head when anxiety threatens to take over. It's such a tender portrayal of how the right person can simply see you and help you breathe easier.
What impressed me most was Killian's quiet care for Isla. The small, thoughtful gestures that show he's paying attention and genuinely invested in her well-being felt authentic and swoon-worthy in the best way.
Beyond the romance, this book captures something special about baseball culture—how teammates and fans become family, creating this beautiful found-family atmosphere that adds real depth to the story. The emotional beats land perfectly alongside the humor, and the fake-dating premise gives way to something genuinely moving.
This is a five-star read that delivers on every front: laugh-out-loud moments, heart-tugging scenes, and a romance that feels earned and real. Highly recommended!
This was another AMAZING sports romance by Susan Renee! I love how her books contain humor, spice, and enough real life drama situations that hit you right in the feels. This one involved a pierced pro baseball pitcher that has debilitating anxiety. What's the one thing that can bring him out of the panic attack while on the mound? A sassy red head that busts his chops. There are so !any sweet and funny moments, along with the spice. We've got triplet pro athletes in this series that make you hope guys like that exist. Killian is terrified he will let everyone down if he isn't the perfect pitcher all the time, which then causes him to break down in front of thousands of people. Isla is a sassy red head flight attendant that makes fun of Killian during a game, and is then thrown into being the flight attendant for his team. As they spend time together and get to know each other, they decide to fake date so he can try to stay on his team with his brother and she has a date to a guest speaker event. We all know what happens in fake dating tropes, but what hardships do they need to overcome to be together?
Oh Killian! You play a good cocky bastard but like Sutton says in this book you are a squishy teddy bear underneath it all.
You and Isla start off with her heckling you like there’s no tomorrow which ends up helping you relax on the pitchers mound. Then you befriend her and then offer to be her date to a gala while she helps you by starting a “fake” relationship with you.
We ALL KNOW how those types of things turn out 🤣🤣
These two are so incredibly cute and fun together. They both have anxiety for different reasons and they understand how to help each other.
As they got closer and opened up more and more their relationship became so much more than “am arrangement”
I really enjoyed the dynamics of brothers, and the team falling for Isla as much as Killian as she’s just an effusive personality!
This book was seriously so much fun to read and one I don’t want to leave!
Bishop is the last triplet standing and we get his book next in the series and is going to be so much fun because he’s so incredibly stoic so once he lets go some it’s going to be ON! ❤️
Where do I even begin.. There’s not one Susan Renee book I haven’t enjoyed reading but Killian & Isla story has definitely become one of my top favorites. I loved seeing how easy it was for Isla to calm Killian’s anxiety without overly trying to. I enjoyed seeing them both work through their own issues through out the book. Killian with his anxiety & panic attacks & Isla with the loss of her dad , not wanting to really let people get close because she’s afraid they’ll leave & it’ll hurt her. I thought it was amazing that Killian was the one who suggested the fake relationship because he wanted to be there for Isla so she wouldn’t have to go to event alone. The Hayes brothers just keep getting better & better with each passing book . I loved that Killian fell for her without any second thought . If your into baseball or sports romance books or you wanna read a book with spicy & a pierced MMC & Brave FMC than this book should definitely be on your must read book list . I can’t wait for February to read Bishop story .

Third Strike Smitten by Susan Renee was such a captivating and emotional read. The writing was engaging and detailed without feeling overwhelming. It was very voicey but also straightforward, and I loved that Isla and Killian’s POVs each felt uniquely their own.
One of the biggest themes in this book is survival, whether that means dealing with anxiety and pressure or learning how to cope with past trauma. There were moments when my heart was seriously racing from the tension, but the banter helped balance out the heavier parts and made the story so much fun to read.
One scene I definitely won’t forget is when Isla read her speech at the event. I legit cried for her. When Isla’s truth finally came out, I shed another tear or two, and I was so happy that Killian was there for her through everything. Their relationship brought so much love and care into an otherwise emotionally intense story.
I also loved the fake-dating trope! It added some lighter moments while still allowing the story to explore some deeper emotions.
Although Third Strike Smitten is part of a series, you could easily read it as a standalone. That being said, I would definitely recommend checking out the other book in the series too!
If you love stories about surviving difficult experiences, finding someone who truly cares for you, and falling in love along the way, with a little fake dating thrown in, this is definitely one for you.
Third Strike Smitten follows Killian, one of the Haynes triplets, who was introduced in book 1, Fourth and Falling. Killian is the star pitcher for the Portland Lagers, who suffers from anxiety. Killian tries to hide it, but his performance on the mound is suffering. Enter Isla Fallon. Isla loves baseball and heckling the pitcher (the heckling is hilarious). The heckling seems to relax Killian. When Isla, a flight attendant, ends up being placed on the Lagers charter for a portion of the season the chemistry heats up.
Killian and Isla both have struggles, but the trust between these two that allows them to heal is amazing. I thought Shepard and Sutton were relationship goals in Fourth and Falling. Killian and Isla took it up a notch. The Haynes parents were doing something right. I can't wait for Bishop's book next!
I really enjoyed the first book in this series so was looking forward to reading Killian’s story. Books are inter connected but could be read standalone.
This book was so yummy - I just ate it up! Broody Killian who is tormented by doubts and anxiety and the checking wise cracking Isla who hides a sadness on her past. Both drawn to each other and a fake dating arrangement to help Kilian’s image soon becomes a lot more…. The banter is first class and there is a terrific slow build between the two before the spice kicks off! Hard to put down and laugh out loud funny at times as the brothers and the team are hilarious. This is another cracking read from Susan Renee. One to check out - you won’t regret it.
It scores 4.5 stars - why Goodreads doesn’t yet do half ratings is a mystery.
I received this ARC from the author. These are my thoughts given voluntarily.
Two people neither of them looking for a commitment agree to fake date to help each other out.. what could possibly go wrong.. Isla has lived through hell. She has worked to get her feet back under her and her life in the clouds jumping from destination to destination as a flight attendant. Killian makes the world think he has it all together while he falls apart in private. From the cat calls to the emotional support these two were completely consuming and captivating. As always the found family aspect had me wishing they could be my real life friends! I cannot wait to see what the rest of the series has in store!
Oh my gosh, Isla and Killian, my heart went through so much with them and this book. There aren't two people more perfect for one another then them.
A baseball pitcher and the team's flight attendant navigate their own struggles with anxiety and loss while navigating a fake relationship that should benefit them both. A feel good, laugh out loud romance that also isn't afraid to tug on your heartstrings. I have laughed, swooned, cried, kicked my feet and more while reading this amazing book.
Can't wait what Susan Renee has in store for the next book in the series. I'm sure it will be another homerun like this one!
Susan Renee has done it again. All of the Haynes brothers have the best comradery. They love hard and love to give each other a hard time. All of these characters are so relatable and it feels like they would definitely be in our friend group.
Isla is such a fun character. Her witty shout outs and sense of humor help her get through life. She’s dealt with a lot, more than most might be able to handle. That fact hasn’t taken away her wit.
Killian is as lovable as they get. He’s cocky, but not overly so. He’s funny and caring and everything you’d want in an MMC.
This was such a fun book. I couldn’t put it down! If you love baseball romance this book is a must!!
In Fourth and Falling we met all of Shepherd's brothers, and Killian's humor had me cracking up. I couldn't wait to read his book. Third Strike Smitten was great. It still had the humor, but we got to see the other side of Killian- his anxiety. Killian dealing with his anxiety pulled on my heart strings because I could relate to it so much. I love how Bishop knew the drill and how to get him ready for the game. Along comes Ilsa and her amazing heckling to help him focus. If you like reading stories with great family and team connections and banter and hilarious zingers from a baseball fan then Killian and Ilsa's story is for you.
So, can I give a book more than 5 stars? Because this one deserves it. From the beginning, this book hooked me. Seriously, I read it in a day.. it’s funny, and sweet.. and will definitely hit you on the feels. Isla and Killian’s story is so good. I mean, they start out as a fake couple, but we all know it wasn’t gonna stay fake. And, the no smex clause… yeah, right out the window, when you find out he’s pierced. 🥵
And the banter in this book. 🤌 Perfect.. Like this woman heckles him during the spicy time… and it’s amazing. 100000 percent recommended!
Thank you Susan Renee and team for giving me a chance and letting me join the ARC Team.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Third Strike Smitten⚾️… Susan Renee has done it again. This book was full of love, spice and banter. The vulnerability in both these characters and how they became a support system to each other was lovely to read💖. The banter was top tier the hackling from Isla literally had me laughing-out-loud. So if you want a book that is sports romance, lots of banter and spice where he falls first? Then get this book.
Susan Renee does it again with this sports series! I’ve been looking for a good baseball romance and this one delivered! The characters have so much depth and are relatable. Killian and Isla were perfect for each other. Despite some of their emotional baggage, they showed each other what it’s like to fully be themselves and be loved because of that! The banter was funny, the spice was hot, and romance was swoony. I loved everything about this read! I’m so excited to continue with the series. Would highly recommend this one!
Killian and Isla wow match made on pitchers mound. I love how they where both scared to actually love someone. The fake dating, dealing woth mental health both parties and finding true love really brought this book together. Isla was scared of losing someone again and Killian was having the whole world on his shoulders and one heckling flight attendant changed his entire way of thinking. And the piercings add so much more to the spice in the book. If you love baseball romace, fake dating, HEA this book is perfect for you.
Loving this book, it has everything! He's the imperfectly perfect anxious human being. She sees the the pro athlete on the mound.
She's the one behind the relentless banter and stunning heckles from the stands, (that will have you grinning from behind your Kindle), he hears them all but how would he ever meet a nameless fan in the massive stadium?
Then they meet face to face on a plane!
Another perfect novel with a heart from Susan Renee.
There was so much fun, love, and heart in this book! One part had me absolutely in tears, while most of the time I had a goofy grin plastered on my face because of all the crazy, hilarious things that were said. The way these two care for and love each other is absolutely beautiful. And I have to mention the brothers’ relationship too—it’s truly something special and added so much to the story. And that epilogue?! Absolutely perfect! ❤️ Seriously, do yourself a favor and read this book, this series—and then go read all of Susan’s books. You’re seriously missing out if you haven’t!
Fake relationship stories are fun to read because they don't stay fake for long and the characters always fall for each other so quickly and this time killian and Isla were no different! The way he immediately stepped up for her and helped her with the gala and her speech was adorable and how she went from heckling him during games to being his savior during his panic attacks and anxiety! She fit right in with the found family and there was such chemistry and spice between them! Cannot wait for bishops story next!
Another top tier book by Susan!! The story between Killian & Isla had me laughing out loud one minute & then tearing up the next. Both characters were dealing with their own issues & it was beautiful to watch them help each other & see the love they had for each other grow. Loved the banter & the found family again ❤️❤️ Great read & can’t wait for Bishop!!
🌸 I received this book as an ARC, and all opinions are my own🌸
Killian was a perfect golden retriever book boyfriend. It was a nice change of pace to see the MMC be the one that had the anxiety and needed the FMC to be the calming force. Isla had faced many struggles giving the book more depth than I expected. I loved the found family aspect and the friendship banter between the teammates was fun. Good all around story.
No surprise I love another brother of this talented Haynes quad. But Isla was EXACTLY what killian needed to get out of his own head and play like he loved the game and loved life again. At the same Killian gave Isla the strength and encouragement to stay still for a bit. And don’t worry the smut absolutely smutted beautifully hot!
Susan Renee knocks it out of the park with Third Strike Smitten! 😍⚾ This is a slow-burn, lets fake a relationship story of a swoony pitcher and a smart mouth survivor. It’s got all the found-family feels as we watch these two heal together. This one’s going to live at the top of my sports romance list. 🔥📚
I love all the worlds that Susan spins for us! The Next Play series is quickly becoming my favorite!!
Killian and Isla's story does not disappoint! Killian has anxiety stemming from the pressure he puts on himself and Isla is just the girl to help him cope! I loved the banter between these two!
This book has it all a great story in a amazing world and spice ;)
