A great book explaining magic without the gods/goddesses, snotty, secret, nerd pretense. Just straight forward this-is-how-it-is sort of writing and surprisingly easy to read. Beware of the scary-ass photo in the Mesmerism section; its of an old, vaudeville hypnotist villain and he has huge eyeballs.
