My thoughts on this book are vast so stay with me. As a whole, I adore this series and the world it's set in. The magic system is so creative and original; although I would've liked to see more of past magic and conjurer history entwined with the present (but I have a feeling we might get that in the next book).
The characters and their relationships were really interesting and engaging to read about and it was enjoyable to see how they've changed across the three books. I've said it once and I'll say it again, I adored the wind as a character. However, I did find that having so much of it's point of view in the beginning made it feel the story was dragging on and made the book a little hard to get into. We also had so much from the wind at the start, that when it got to Mari's point of view and the perspective change, it felt a bit jarring.
I think based off the ending of the second book, this book definitely could have had a lot more happening (rather than being told stories) at the start to keep the reader hooked. As someone who hadn't read the second book for a while, I kind of felt as thought I was waiting for 'the wind' to get to the point already and pick up with what had happened in the book prior.
I did find that some of the points made were questionable - the wind saying that it had observed "that a human was only unique when it was free." which... no?! I see that the point trying to be made was that once you're free of your ambitions/ pride/ sins/ bad influences, you can be your own person and not be controlled by these things any longer; but this along with a sentence basically stating that men are better/ more important than animals, didn't really agree with me.
This in a way brings me to my next point on the religious ideals/ references... which I suppose might explain why the above points might have been made?? I've just looked back and noticed the other books had various religious references as well, which seemed seamless at the time of reading and were included into the books well. But I don't think they were done as well/ subtly in this book and I felt that it sort of took me out of the world/ story a little.
I think overall the series would be a GREAT series if it had included a little more foreshadowing and I feel that there is SO SO much opportunity for that - it seemed that the villain of this story came out of nowhere. Maybe it was meant to seem this way, but I feel the books could've been more complex if there had been hints towards it coming and that this would've made the reveal better. Though this could just be me having not read the other books in a while/ being oblivious.
Lastly, I do love how this series makes you question where you draw the line between a good and bad person. This goes along with my earlier point about the complexities of the characters and their relationships and also brings into question the age old debate of 'nature versus nurture', and I find that Sarah Ready explored these topics really well throughout the story.

My End of Times by Sarah Ready was an entertaining and emotional read that skillfully blends romance, humor, and high-stakes drama into a story that kept me hooked from beginning to end. With its unique premise and engaging characters, the novel offers both heartfelt moments and plenty of surprises along the way.
One of the book's greatest strengths is its protagonist, whose journey feels authentic and relatable despite the extraordinary circumstances she faces. Sarah Ready does an excellent job balancing emotional vulnerability with resilience, creating a character who is easy to root for. The relationships throughout the story are equally compelling, adding depth, tension, and warmth to the narrative.
The pacing is strong, with a mix of suspense, romance, and character development that keeps the story moving forward. The emotional stakes feel real, and several twists kept me eager to find out what would happen next. Ready's writing style is engaging and approachable, making it easy to become immersed in the story and connected to the characters.
The reason this earns four stars rather than five is that a few plot developments felt somewhat predictable, and I would have liked a little more exploration of certain supporting characters and story elements. However, these were minor concerns in an otherwise highly enjoyable novel.

Mari is finally free of Jagger’s control and Finn is free of the self that haunted him, but I quickly learned that defeating the horror was never the end. The darkest dangers were hiding inside the conjurers themselves, and I felt every shift of trust and betrayal as alliances snapped in a heartbeat. I adore this world and its inventive magic system, and watching Mari and Finn face an uncertain future together, after everything the first two books put them through, gave the story real emotional weight. The wind as a narrator was a favorite of mine, though its long opening stretch slowed me down before Mari’s perspective kicked in. The villain also seemed to arrive out of nowhere, and I wanted more foreshadowing. Still, the way this series makes me question where good ends and bad begins hooked me again.

I really enjoyed My End of Times and I was thrilled to receive an arc to get into book 3.The storyline was engaging, and I loved getting to spend more time with the characters and seeing how their relationships have developed throughout the series.
There’s a lot going on in this book, with magic, secrets, danger and plenty of twists, which kept me interested and wanting to find out what would happen next. I also really enjoyed the world Sarah Ready has created and the way the story makes you think about the characters and their choices.
Some parts did take a little more concentration, but overall I found this to be an enjoyable read and I definitely wanted more by the time I reached the end.
A great addition to the series and a solid 4 star read for me! ✨📚

I didn’t realize how quickly this book would grab me right from the poems at the beginning!
I was amazed at being reintroduced to the magic. It was dark and mysterious and Mari and Finn… I can’t even tell you!
