First of all, I've never been a huge reader and I'm very picky on what I read.
Wight had me hooked from the very first pages with it's descriptive and natural flow of writing. The characters have personality and their bigger or little quirks that make them themselves. The interactions between characters are something I value a lot in any media, and in Wight I was not disappointed. The natural way characters interact with eachother and the world around them within their own personalities captivated me from the start.
The descriptive writing gives a great foundation for imagination to run wild and build that movie inside the reader's mind and have it play with ease. Character writing got me rooting for, despise (we know who, he was so well written!) and deeply care for them. I have to admit I did shed a few tears a couple of times, just from the pure immersion of the scene. There was a goodbye, a relief and acceptance, it still stirred emotion. A few scenes made me all giddy too!
TLDR; Wight is amazing and if you like fantasy with deep characters, this is a book for you.
