[Ian Banks · Rating 4 out of 5]

A rather gripping conclusion to the series. Our trio of protagonists have become part of a larger, legally sanctioned team. But there’s corruption in the upper echelons of the organisation and a particularly vicious villain to track down. Lots of fun, with some great scenes that I can imagine perfectly in four colours and some terrific character moments. It’s a joy to read a series about a team of heroes who trust each other that doesn’t feel overly earnest.
