2106: The Spectral Present

Angelia built a life around glasstech and solitude until Spectral Day awakens a power she can’t explain and forces her into hiding. On the run with Rylan—the man who vanished from her life, the love she never stopped carrying—she discovers some bonds don’t break, they fracture. She can move the world with a thought, but she can’t control the way Raven’s energy calls to hers.

Raven arrives like a lightning in his hands and a claim that he escaped Dr. Atlas’s compound, the birthplace of Spectrals. Now Angelia is trapped between the love she lost and the desire she never chose...just as a teenage seer crosses the state-line blockade with a warning that could unravel everything.

2125: The Broken Future

Nineteen years later, Marina survives the world that followed and meets a traveler who shouldn’t Rylan, torn from time and determined to change it. To save what remains of humanity, Marina must master the power inside her before Dr. Atlas reaches across decades. Because he isn’t just shaping evolution—he’s rewriting destiny itself.

In the end, the battle between love and fate will decide who gets a second chance.

Miscelleana Tsalikis writes stories that ache—angsty romances tangled in soulmates, speculative twists, and the kind of emotional wreckage that lingers long after the final page.

Whether she’s unraveling a sci-fi dystopia or diving into fantasy realms full of longing and rebellion, her stories always center on characters who feel too much, love too hard, and fight like hell for what matters.

Based in Long Island, New York, she spends her days writing with her heart wide open—while navigating life with her six incredible kids and her impossibly supportive (and handsome) husband.

5⭐ and that cliffhanger? RUDE—in the best way....
This sequel answers just enough to pull you deeper—then flips everything upside down and leaves you desperate for more.
Humanity is evolving… but into what? And at what cost?
The multi-POV, dual-timeline storytelling returns and flows even stronger here, picking up seamlessly from book one. Familiar faces, rising tensions, and a chillingly well-crafted villain of a doctor make this world feel dangerously real. The expanded worldbuilding adds depth without slowing the pace, and everything starts clicking into place in the best way.
There’s a spark of a hero on the horizon—but whether they’ll become what the world needs… or something far worse? That’s the question haunting every page.
Gripping, unsettling, and impossible to put down. I need the next book immediately.

Got as an ARC

So this one ends on a cliffhanger and leaves you wanted much more. I am left with so many questions and that is how it should be if it is a series, we want more and we want answers.

In this book we still follows multible POV’s in different timelines as we did in the first book, and this picked up right where we left. So it is some of the same people from the first book.

In this we follow the love interest, their way in the new world. There is this doctor that is very well written, a true villain. There are a bit more worldbuilding to get more into this world and the universe you are in.
In the first book I had to get into how it was written but in the end there where things that came together and it comes even more together in this book and it is done really well. It keeps you wanting more because you want to know how it ends and why things happens the way they does.

If you love scifi/dystopian with magic, yearning, a great storyline that might seem confusing because it jumps around but it will make sense in the end (or not the end as it is not done but it is starting to make even more sense in this book) and you want something different, than this series is it.

CLIFFHANGER! OMG. Love it. So many questions. This book answers some of the questions from the first book but leaves you with so much more.

Humans are evolving, through science, and what will they become? How will they change the world? What DID they do to change the world...

A hero may be on the horizon but will they be what the world needs them to be? Will they be what they need to be?
