In today's world it is easy to discount the importance of marriage. Society views marriage as a discard-able option.
I liked how this book was put in an organized and easy to read format. Terry Baker takes issues found in the world and backs up the importance and possibility of marriage using scriptures and words of General Authorities from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He writes to marriage partners as well as to those seeking to find a companion. He uses the same principals and applies it to all people. I like that format. I like that this book can be read and appreciated by different groups at the same time.

Having been raised in the LDS church I admit that I maybe a little biased to this book. The book I read was “#Eternity” By Terry R. Baker. Baker has a PHD in Psychology in family counseling and gives us this wonderful book about dating and marriage for young adults. For me I really enjoyed this book and not for the reasons you’d probably expect. A little about me and why this book helped me so much was that fact that I was almost to be married a few months ago. Sadly, thing ended suddenly, and it had me really thinking of what I did wrong and what I could do to improve. I know that this is an LDS book, but I feel that most people religious or not care about family life and want to have happy families. That is why I feel this is a great book its for everyone. It hits on ways that we can come to have good family lives and strive for a better future. My life was falling apart because I thought I wasn’t good enough, but this book really helped me to look to God and find in myself what I could do better to strengthen my next relationships and my future family.

I loved how Terry R. Baker used "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" as his guide to writing this book. There are many good insights and he quotes a lot of prophets and apostles both from scripture and modern day. This is a book I will return to again and again, even after I am married. I definitely recommend this book to everyone.
