Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I had written about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. At the age of twenty-eight, Watkins’ chronicles have matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women's literature. Amazingly well written!
I had NO faith in Reek getting it together. I was really thinking this was going to be a story about Ava having to do it alone in the beginning. He redeemed himself and did a full 180. Jessica was deep in her bag when she wrote this book. I laughed, i cried sad tears, i was surprised, i cried happy tears she is truly gifted with her pen. 5 ⭐️ story. Also the way she wove in the street kings just enough to intrigue the reader to check out her next series. Chefs kiss. Can’t wait to see what the street kings get into!

I really enjoyed Reek and Ava's story. This is another 5 star in the Cartier Cartel series for me. However, "Sincerely Yours" is still my fav. I was prepared to be irritated by Reek until the end, but he proved me wrong. Can't wait until the Street Kings saga releases. Jessica N. Watkins is a great author and never misses a beat, action and romance is top tier.

3⭐️. By this point I could tell the author was just stretching this series out. At no point was I ever really invested in Ava & Reek but here we go . .
We got introduced to these two in sincere book. Yes we known about these characters throughout the story but never really seen them interact until book 5.
Ava wants independence , rightfully so. She spends a couple of months in Thailand to get herself together & figure out what she wants but surprise Ava is pregnant with Reek child. After there one night of hot lustful sex.
Reek is known to be a playboy with no intention on having kids & starting a family. He’s scared of commitment because of his childhood. I enjoyed getting the flashbacks of his childhood so readers could better understand his reasoning .
But these two were draining . Ava kept looking around at the women she was surrounded by thinking she. Deserve that same type of love , when her & reek never started that way. Instead of trying to figure out how do I build this type of connection. . At first Ava never stood on business when it came to this man. It wasn’t until watching her sister Zhara give birth did she let go of that anger & hurt inside & made a promise to enjoy her pregnancy for what it is.
Reek kept using his childhood as an excuse to not commit. At some point as an adult you have to do the work necessary to fixed that. The way he talked to Ava when he first found out was so nasty . I loved the advice Legend gave him that’s when you seen the switch in reek. . Reek finally came around to loving Ava the way she was supposed to be loved .
I didn’t like the way the Sienna story played out but oh well. & having the crowns comeback was kinda lazy to me, just seems like the author needed to throw some drama in the book because it wasn’t any. .
Aria driving herself to mental institution was crazy I really be feeling sorry for her lol.

Jessica N. Watkins never misses when it comes to writing layered characters, and Wreaking Havoc reminded me why I continue to pick up everything she writes.
Reek's story was so much deeper than I expected. On the surface, he came across as hard, guarded, and completely against the idea of love or building a family. But as his story unfolded, it became clear that his childhood trauma was driving so many of his decisions. He wasn't afraid of Ava—he was afraid of what loving her would require of him. Watching him fight his feelings every step of the way was frustrating at times, but it also made his journey feel authentic. Healing isn't linear, and Jessica captured that beautifully.
Ava was exactly the woman Reek needed. She never let his walls intimidate her, but she also didn't allow him to push her around emotionally. I appreciated that she knew her worth and didn't lose herself trying to convince him that he deserved to be loved.
One thing I continue to appreciate about Jessica's writing is that the romance never exists in a bubble. While I was rooting for Reek and Ava, there was still plenty of action, family drama, and twists to keep the story moving. Every time I thought things were settling down, Jessica reminded me that this is the Cartier world, and peace never lasts for long.
Reek's growth was my favorite part of the book. Watching him slowly realize that the family wasn't something to fear—it was something he deserved—made every emotional moment worth it. His journey wasn't about becoming a different man. It was about finally allowing himself to become the man he had always had the potential to be.
Overall, Reeking Havoc was another phenomenal addition to the series. It was emotional, action-packed, and full of the family loyalty I've come to love from Jessica N. Watkins. More than anything, it was a reminder that sometimes the hardest battle isn't against your enemies—it's against the pain you've carried for years. And seeing Reek finally choose love over fear made this one of my favorite books in the series.

Change is always good
Ava was a young woman who just wanted love and to be loved.
Being in her sister Zahra shadow had her realizing she wanted and deserved love. What she went through with her father, no child she experience.
My heart went out for Reek. His unaddressed childhood trauma almost cost him the love and woman he deserved.
You have to respect Reek for how he approved Kam. That was growth.
That moment it all come out and Reek was corner, I was worried and upset. Like I feel Ava should’ve spoke up. It was not all on him.
Legend has grown since the beginning of this series and I loved that for him. The words he spoke to Reek touch home and was felt. The words were deep and needed.
Aria was over the BS. She was like IKYFL. The way she started her breakdown had me in tears laughing cause she was not having it.
All I’m going to say is stop playing with Icon. Don’t come for his of you want no issue cause the person you get will not be who you think it is. Icon is different when those he love are touched or bothered.
Then Street King are different but perfect for the Cartier Cartel.
Though Reek had me upset and sad through this read, I was so glad he got it together. My guy deserves love too. As for Ava, I’m glad she found out who she was as a person in order for her to grow. Sometimes, that time apart from those close to you are needed. The mind needs time to process things. This series was an example of those who wasn’t looking for love and has a cold heart deserves love too. It just takes the right person. Enjoyed this series down. Every character was different but a major factor in the Cartel. look forward to reading more from the author.

Reek
Well the Cartier Cartel series has come to an end, and I am so invested now. I can't wait for the Street Kings to begin because I know we will have more cartel shenanigans from the crew. Like Prodigy said, "old kings and new kings let's show them how we get down."
Reek and Ava went through a lot to get to their happy ending. Reek was scared because of the way he was abandoned by his mother and treated poorly by his grandparents. The trauma was real, and couldn't seem to get past it. Hearing words from Legend and Icon changed the game for him. Their points of view made him realize how he was living in fear. It made him realize he loved Ava and his baby boy.
Ava's trauma came from Mercer. His love was conditional. He took away her independence while making it look like she still had it. So Ava wanted to never lose control of her life. She wanted her own identity and never had to depend on anything or anyone but herself.
But through communication and compromise, Reek and Ava realized they were better together even though they were still scared. This was a great story of growth. I loved every minute.

WHAT A RIDE!!!
ENDED THE SERIES HOW IT STARTED, SHOOT OUTS, BACKSTABBING, DRAMA, TOXICITY, A WHOLE LOT OF LAUGHTER, LOVE AND FAMILY.
AS ALWAYS, IT WAS GREAT CATCHING UP WITH THE CATIER’S AND THEIR CREW. I COULD MOST DEFINITELY RELATE TO ARIA. SIS WAS OVER IT. YEAH SHE LOVED HER BABIES, BUT ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH😔.

She was wrong not telling him about the pregnancy but he was unnecessarily cruel. The thing he said I would never get over. And his first reaction was I want nothing to do with you and the baby. Which I found crazy given His own abandonment issue. The groveling was not enough. He only wants her when someone else is checking for her. He wants to go and what he wants but she must stay on the shelf. Example his reaction to Wise flirting with her and the Kam situation.
I hate impulsive MMC. He is very impulsive and do things without thinking of the long term implications. For example his killing Sienna. He thought about his immediate feelings( which is justified) but he didn’t think about what his action meant for the organization.
And her giving him bj after one week postpartum was a choice

I absolutely LOVE this series! Jessica N. Watkins has easily become one of my favorite authors—and I have a lot of favorites! 😂 This story flowed so effortlessly, and I loved how the characters from the previous books were incorporated throughout. It made the story feel connected to everything that came before it instead of feeling like a completely separate book.
The emotions were EVERYWHERE with this one! I was completely invested from beginning to end. There were so many moments that had me feeling one thing and then something completely different the next. I honestly can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this story. Another great addition to a series that I absolutely love! Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Loved it!!!
I could not get enough of Ava and Reek!!! I loved how his hardnesss just melted when it came to her. No matter how hard he tried to fight to owned his heart. I also loved how she stood on business and would not allow us nonsensical behavior to dictate her movement! The growth and fierce love they have for each other make this a great read. Plus the spic and the drama made this one hard to put down! Can’t wait for the Street Kings series!!!

Book 6 with Reek and Ava is my favorite of them all. Don't get me wrong, the entire series is fire, but this one hit different because I didn't know if Reek was going to come around or not. I especially love how all the other characters were still incorporated. Aria thinking she was pregnant again almost took me out. Icon, Legend, Saint, Big A, Reek, even Sincere brought BDE. Now the Street Kings about to come in. I can't wait

Another Jessica Watkins hit!
Ms. Watkins never fails to give us excellent story telling. I really enjoyed Ava and Reek’s story. I had faith that their love would bring him out of his insecurities and was glad to witness it. Although Reek was a killer in the streets, he really had a soft demeanor for Ava and their child. The Cartier family really stuck together and took out anyone that was a threat to them. I’m really looking forward to reading about the Street Kings.

Ava and Reek’s journey journey to their happy ever after was anything but easy one of my favorite but also stressful tropes. I love to read is the secret baby or in this case secret pregnancy trope and let me tell you things got bad and messy before they got good..

Love the Cartier Cartel downnnnnn. Reek was taking me through but he finally got it together and I was so proud of him 🥰 Ava knew she played her part in the toxicity as well it wasn’t all just him. She knew what she was getting into when she did what she did. Cant wait for the Street Kings.

I'm so glad Ava found herself back home in the arms of the one man she was in love with. Reek really came through and put his fears behind him and became the man he was meant to be. He had lots of help from friends and family and over came his fears. All the bad guys are gone for good.

Great read! I loved this 6th installment of Cartier family! I love Reek and Ava, it was rough, but they made it! I loved how Legend &Saint spoke life into Reek and Ava had the ladies support! The plot with the twists and turns will keep you turning by the page! Great ending!

A phenomenal series!
I enjoyed this series so much! Ms. Jessica did her thang with this one. I’m so happy that Reek grew past his trauma and came around for Ava and baby RoRo. I can’t wait to read the Street Kings because I already love the characters that are gonna be in it. Bravo for the sweet, full circle ending 👏🏾

What a ride!
I wasnt sure how it was gonna go with Ava and Reek because Im not as forgiving but Im so glad they made it work. There was a time when I thought it was gonna be Ava and Sincere and I wasnt feeling that because of their history. Aria is hilarious that part was unexpected and funny! Im ready to read about the streek kings next!

So much happened in this book! Reek was still with Sienna pretending, Ava in Thailand hiding but when she finally returns, its hell at first, Reek felt trapped and he was so mad! In the end he finally found true love and happiness! The Cartier Cartel got the last laugh over The Crown Cartel! Sorry to say Sienna met with terrible karma! Great read!

This book has pure cr**k in it!!!!! From beginning to end was a straight emotional roller coaster and I lived for every word! Saint, Icon, Aria, and Legend really had me crying and laughing as well!! I love this series and the whole gang!

The end. I got so caught up with the Cartier Cartel, I just knew I was going to join in the fight with The Crown. I feel like they ain't completely gone. But I'm looking forward to The Street Kings!

Ava!!!!
I did not like Ava. During Saint and Tempo's stories, she was not my favorite person. I absolutely love that these individual stories change my views of the characters we meet. I loved this story and the growth of both Reek and Ava. I can't wait to meet the Street Kings!

LOVED it. Great ending to a great series. I have to say the last 2 books were my favorite. I liked the drama of it all and how love still prevailed in the end. Great read. I am going to read more of the authors catalog

There are always lessons in her writings. Reek and Ava make you believe in possibilities, individually and as couples. You're reminded th best family doesn't have to be blood related.

Aye these two lowkey got on my nerves & stressed me oouuttt 😂😂😂 but they eventually got it together. I have loved this series & family/group of friends. I can’t wait to see what the streets kings is about. I liked how Jessica wrote this story to segue into that series.

A GOOD READ
To read how the relationship developed between Reek and Ava was so good. It was for sure a roller coaster ride of emotions. I understood why Reek felt the way he did about family and children. I’m just happy he had emotionally mature men around him to tell him better.
