The last part of this series was least liked by me. Though I enjoyed Ayden and Lyric's story, I think the ending could be a bit better. There was just something missing. Their relationship is strong, they are both wonderful characters and I loved them together. I also loved others, Ella & Micha and Lila & Ethan as parents did great job, Ayden's foster siblings were great too. I just think this part could have been more developed when it comes to mystery. We finally have conclusion to Ayden's past... and what was supposed to be that great mystery wasn't that much of a mystery, you know. I felt like everything was swept under the rug.

The shining stars of this series were both leading characters, they were very well written. I loved Lyric's personality and how strong and full of life she was.
"Lyric, there aren't even words to describe how lucky I am to have you in my life... If it wouldn't have been for you and your insane need to make me happy... I'm not sure I would even be here."
I also loved Ayden's transformation, from resigned shy boy to a person who eventually started believing in happily ever after.
"But that lonely, scared guy who feared life and hated himself isn't the person sitting in this seat right now. I'm so much different. I have dreams now. Want things. Have people who care about me. Who love me. Who are there for me."
Overall, I enjoyed this series very much and I can honestly say it is good YA story. I will definitely be reading Sage & Sadie's and Fiona's books, which will be spin offs.

“Inspiring You” is the fourth installment in Jessica Sorensen’s series “Unraveling You” and like its predecessors, it picks up right where the last book ends.

Ayden still can’t remember what really happened four years ago. His brother is death and his sister is still missing. In the previous installment he found out that his father is part of the evil group, called 'Soulless Mileas' and that he is the one who kidnapped him and his siblings years ago. He decides to go through with the experimental amnesia treatment, so he has to lie his adoptive parents. He hates that, but he has to know the truth, he has to save his sister.

Ayden and Lyric will be out of high school very soon. Their relationship is stronger than ever. They love each other and Ayden knows how lucky he is he has Lyric in his life. He has some moments when be believes he’s not good enough for Lyric, but Lyric is there to remind him that he is, that she loves him no matter what and that he has the right to be happy and to be free of his past.

I liked this installment, but I have to say that it was my last favorite in the series. Like in the previous books, both Ayden and Lyric are awesome. They were endearing characters and pretty great developed through the entire series. Ayden was much stronger in this installment. He’s the same kind-hearted, sweet boy and I really felt for him. His past is pretty dark and I’m glad he has such a great family who offers him love and support. And of course Lyric who was so great. She was pretty damn perfect. Supportive, caring and even protective she offers Ayden unconditionally love. Like in the other books in this series, Ayden and Lyric were great as a couple. They were so sweet and tender with each other. They really warmed my heart.

What didn’t work for me in this installment was the mystery aspect of the story. I would have preferred more of that. Also, the ending was very rushed and in some way the story felt a little flat IMO.

Overall, this was a great conclusion to Ayden and Lyric’s story and I’m looking forward to read more about Sadie and Sage.

This final installment of Ayden and Lyric was a fast short read. Sadly, for me it lacked in the mystery department and like her other series the whys of it all were glossed over. Nevertheless, Lyric and Ayden grow closer and graduate high school. The danger is eliminated and Ayden's sister Sadie is found. I'm looking forward to Sadie and Sage's story as this book just fell a bit too flat for me.

"I have dreams now. Want things. Have people who care about me. Who love me. Who are there for me.
I'm not alone anymore.
I'm not a ghost.
Who floats through life.
Who breathes the possibilities.
Who has hope."

I liked this conclusion novel and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I think it was probably my least favorite of the series. Mainly because I felt like the mystery lacked... mystery. But ultimately, I would definitely recommend this series to fans of Jessica Sorensen.

Ayden is sick of being haunted by a past he cannot remember so in order to get better control of his life, he makes a decision that will open up his mind where he can get some answers to some of the questions that have plagued him throughout this entire series.

INSPIRING YOU is a very quick read that continues Ayden and Lyric’s sweet and sometimes dark journey. This is definitely not one to read as a standalone but there’s always something so endearing about Sorensen’s characters that I don’t mind the fact that it sometimes takes them a little longer to reach the HEA they deserve. This is especially true for Ayden whom I have fallen head over heels with. I just adore how sweet he is. Lyric is a blast to read about but Ayden’s softer, vulnerable side makes him very intriguing. Paired with his darker past and you’ve got a character that really tugs on your heartstrings.

I will say that the resolution to Ayden’s issues with his past happen quite quickly. It’s almost too convenient but I am nevertheless relieved that the end has come but I don’t think the author could’ve dragged this out for another book.

I was especially looking forward to Ayden and Lyric having sex for the first time. The buildup is tremendous but Sorensen opts for a fade to black scene. I kind of wished she gave us the goods, but considering Ayden’s previous issues with being touched, I could understand why the sex scene had to be more subtle.

All in all, this book is a very quick read. I read it in an hour and found myself laughing and swooning along. If you haven’t read Jessica Sorensen yet, you definitely should! You’re missing out on some wonderful sweet stories.

What an absolute incredible series to read.

When I picked this series off my shelf I had no idea what I was getting in to, how much I would become obsessed with them, with the characters and their stories.

Inspiring you is the forth book in Ayden and Lyric’s story and the perfect book it was.

Ayden has to suffer some more heartache in this book but not even nearly close to what he has but next to that heartbreak is happiness just about to burst out. Happiness that this lad deserves to have.

Lyric as always was an incredible heroine, I loved her and her positivity so much especially in this book. We get to see just how strong she is.

The ending was written perfectly and I’m so SO a happy with how it did.

Jessica really did a phenomenal job bringing these characters to life, I feel like they’re a part of me now and oh my gosh, I just loved them.

I can’t wait to read more if this authors books.

3 STARS FOR "INSPIRING YOU" BY JESSICA SORENSEN

Every night when I close my eyes, I dream of the days when I won't have to worry about losing him. That he'll be safe. That he'll be free of them. Because I know those days will come. I won't let myself believe anything else.

description

In the conclusion to Sorensen's Unraveling You quartet, Ayden is finally ready to face his fears and remember what happened to him and his siblings all those years ago. Hoping that the answer will lead him closer to his missing sister, Ayden soon realizes that the truth could put not only him back into danger, but the lives of those close to him.

Ah. Jessica Sorensen.

I really like her books. She's not afraid of delving into harsh, dark subjects within her books. Kayden was abused, Callie was raped, Luke was an alcoholic, and Quinton was a drug addict. And in case you forgot about this, Sorensen had Ayden struggling with the aftermath of being kidnapped and being stalked by some satanic cult.

Yeah. Nothing is really off-limits in her books.

What's really satisfying about her books is that there's a sensitivity to the characters problems. They're not solved within a chapter of meeting the love interest. It takes time and a hell of a lot of patience for these characters to find their way, to accept that they're all worthy of a good life and people who love them. She also delivers on happy endings - hopeful ones that indicate that the characters have come out of each situation stronger than they were before. And when you read for yourself all the stuff that Ayden has put up with his entire life, you're happy to see this outcome. I was pleased to see him embracing the support and love Lyric and his adopted parents give him. Ayden comes a long way in this book, compared from the very first installment.

However, the one fault I do have with this book (and honestly, most of her other ones) is that the conclusion to the plotline with the antagonist is so unsatisfactory. The villains in this book are captured so easily, despite being an established organization that's avoided capture for many years. I mean.. It's a very common theme in Sorensen's books. It's like she builds...and builds...and builds...and realizes the only way the protagonists can come out on top is if her villains suddenly become very complacent and stupid. It's like what happened with (spoilers for the Coincidence series) Caleb and Preston. Caleb, after having a warrant for his arrest, returns to the town...for no reason? Finds Callie in a store, tries to talk to her, and makes no attempt to leave once she goes to call the cops? And Preston? Who just chills out in a very public place, despite the police looking for him?

The series was overall okay. Ayden and Lyric were a cute couple, and I liked the emphasis of family, but I think the story was stretched too thin and resolved itself far too quickly and easily.

My 5-Facts Review ('Cuz I'm lazy busy reading):

INSPIRING YOU BY JESSICA SORENSEN
★★★★☆ (4 stars)
________________________________

✔ I love this series! Jessica Sorensen's writing is truly outstanding!

✔ I'm so happy that we finally find out the conclusion of Ayden and Lyric's story. This is the final installment and it's a bittersweet feeling, because I loved these characters so much!

Ayden and Lyric are both wonderful characters. Lyric's bubbly personality shines through the pages and you can't help but sympathize with Ayden and his tragic past.

✔ In this book the romantic scenes are a little bit more graphic than in the previous installments, but I think it still fits with its writing style into the young adult category.

❌ As much as I enjoyed this book, I enjoyed the previous ones better. The reason for this is the mystery part, which wasn't as good in this one.

3.5 stars!

I was really excited about this book. I mean, I loved the other books in the series. And I love Ayden and Lyric. But this fell a little flat for me in places and left me wanting more, but not in a good way.

If this book had been completely from Ayden's POV, I probably would have given it 4 stars instead of 3.5 because I love him. His character is so lovable and I love being inside his head and going on this journey with him. He's suffered so much and I just wish I could hug him and make it all better.

 photo tumblr_mgy1juJNry1r1mtsdo1_500_zpsfe957309.gif

Lyric annoyed me a little bit in this book. She was a little selfish when it came to touring. She knew how much finding his Sadie meant to Ayden, yet she tried to pressure him into going. And I didn't like that. I've really liked her in the past, but that didn't work for me in this one.

It was nice seeing Sadie in this. Now that, I was really looking forward to for the last couple of books. But she wasn't in it enough. And there wasn't enough of her and Ayden. I wanted more of those two; to see them spend some brother/sister time together and to help each other heal. There was very little of that in this book. And that was so disappointing.

I still love Jessica Sorensen's books and I'm still looking forward to Sage and Sadie's story. But this isn't a favorite of mine.

And that was the final installment of the Unraveling you Series! I've concluded that this series was my favorite by Jessica Sorenson. Not only did we get glimpses of Micha, Ella and Lila and Ethan we got to see their children too, so it was the best of both world.

We finally get all the answers we want in Inspiring You as well a huge step/progression in Ayden and Lyric's relationship. These two were clearly meant for each other. I just love how they were there for each other and nothing could keep them apart. The dynamic of their relationship was what made them really work. Not always too serious and serious when they need to be. And I think that's because Lyric is just such an awesome MC. She's such a ray of positivity and honestly never lets anything get her down, so optimistic and you need someone like that in your life when things get too heavy and Ayden definitely needed that.

We finally know about Ayden's Father, the whereabouts of his sister, Sadie, and more about the Soulless Mileas. It all concluded really nicely. My only complaint will probably be that I wish it was longer. And I have just a few little critiques but I could look past them.

I feel sad having to say goodbye to this series but Sadie and Sage are going to get their own book and so will Fiona (I LOVED her) so I'm really looking forward to that!

Among some of my favorites. Outstanding literary work. The characters are well developed, interesting. The liked characters are likable and the hated are unlikable. The writing is captivating enough to keep you interested until the end and leave you wanting more. It has a fairly original or uniquely well-developed plot. The pretense and romance were well balanced and done with properly distributed amounts of hints, behaviors, and chemistry. Not so much predictable if at all. Overall, loved it, I recommend reading!!

I love this series! Ayden and Lyric are one of my favorite couples written by this author. Lyric is one of my favorite heroines of any book. She was perfect. This was a nice ending to this wonderful series. It fell a bit flat but that's because, in my opinion, it could have been wrapped up in two books. I don't really think it needed to be four. Regardless, I loved it. I'm looking forward to Sadie' story next!

This book was originally reviewed on The Book Hookup.

3.5 stars What a journey. I had to take a moment to let everything that happened sink in. This story was so good, stressful, yet there was always one bit of hope even in the darkest times…and that is what made this story magical. Now, while I loved these books I have to admit this installment wasn’t my favorite. eep! YES, it was still really, really good…it just lost a little of what made it super “5 star” special to me.

So, if you know me, you know I love really angsty romances, just like this one between Lyric and Ayden, but by the time we got to the 4th book it wasn’t so angsty anymore and that part of the story fell a bit flat for me. I loved that they were in love, but it didn’t feel fresh anymore. Maybe part of the reason is that it was a lot of fade to black…but I don’t know. I’m a romantic at heart so I was a bit disappointed in that department.

However, in addition to angsty I also really love dark and emotional reads. And this series is definitely dark and emotional. Ayden really battled falling into the the bleakness that surrounded him. So many horrible things happened and were happening to him. He struggled to stay afloat, and I loved that he never stopped trying, and he took charge by doing shock therapy. He did everything in his power not to be a victim to try to save his sister. It was a long road, but with her life and others on the line he was determined to help.

One thing that I have to talk about is the musical talent. I didn’t really get it. Were they actually talented? It just didn’t seem realistic. Lyric was “cured” of stage fright in nearly one session, yet going on a big tour. And I’m not sure if I bought that Ayden was *that* good at guitar. I didn’t really know he played. Where did he learn? The whole band thing isn’t believable – that they are that good. It should just be a hobby in this story in my opinion. Regardless, it was a nice side story even if it could have been done differently.

Rec this? YES! A story about healing, with a romance and suspense thrown in. This closing chapter on Ayden and Lyric is not to be missed, but I loved the first 3 books a lot more. I will definitely read Sage and Sadie’s story when it comes out, it’s not going to be easy but I can’t wait to see both of them find peace and happiness.

Happy reading!

I am disappointed with this novel, I'll say novel and not series because that's what it was, one novel broken up into four parts.
A shame because I really enjoyed the first part(book), but the rest lacked action and excitement.
Yes, there were a few parts here and there, but it would have been better had it been released as one book, that way 2 of the four parts wouldn't have dragged on as they did.
Other than I bit far-fetched, I enjoyed the story and I did like the characters, as emotional as they were, and was also happy to read up on old ones.

What in the start seemed a YA romance, soon changes in a mystery, both very good and emotionally intense and I loved very much all of it. This last story, though was a bit flat as last book on Ayden and Lyric, as if the romance and the mystery was lowered of a tone. Leave me eager to know more and not to know much of the first time that Ayden and Lyric make love and like the Ayden's father get caught. But this is a great series and I loved it.

3.5. I did enjoy the characters and I continue to appreciate the author's easy writing style, but this one just didn't have the worth while conclusion I had hoped for. This probably could have been wrapped up in three books or had a fourth only if the end to the plot was thicker.

Soaring Up High

Inspiring You is the final book and the conclusion to Ayden and Lyric’s love story.

I throughly enjoyed reading this book and the entire series. My favorite part of this book was the progression of Lyric and Ayden’s relationship. Things are much more steamier. I like how there is so much sexual tension. And when they finally act on it, it is like fireworks hitting the page and exploding. The steaminess is really awesome. However, I like the progression from making out to taking the next step. Ayden’s self confidence and believing himself takes a phenomenal growth. Lyric’s patience and her love for Ayden is a driving point in the last installment. I love how she isn’t a fretting girlfriend, but one who is incredibly caring and sweet.

The mystery of Ayden’s past is finally revealed. I like how Sorensen made the entire mystery element of this novel finally have the questions answered. And Ayden finally meeting his sister and horrific people who have done terrible things finally getting their punishment, was a huge victory. I like how Ayden went selflessly through so much to get his original family together. That boy is one hell of great person.

The entire family of Ayden and Lyric are just one of my favorite parts of this entire series. I like Lyric’s relationship with her dad in this book in particular. Both of them have such an awesome dad daughter relationship that it reminds me of one of mine with my dad.

In my previous reviews, I did not address much of the music aspect of this book. However, my favorite part was how Sorensen made the characters form lyrics and write them. Some of my favorites are:

I like how music helps the characters heal. When they finally do get a gig and things are going well, I was cheering for them.

Overall, great series! I highly recommend reading it. Preferably get the boxed set, so you can get the entire feel of the story. I am giving this book 5 high stars!
