Yeah! My official series logo! Life is GOOD.:

Healing Eden is book two in the Eden series by Rhenna Morgan. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by the author.

castle:

Book one of this series, Unexpected Eden, focused on the King of the Myrens, Eryx, and his quest for his future queen, Lexi. Now in book two, Lexi has completely adapted to her new role in life and has embraced Eden. I loved seeing how strong she has become and getting to see them as a couple in this book. We also met Eryx’s sister, Galena. Galena is a healer, strong and dedicated to both her family and her country. And, we met the mysterious Reese Theron, second in command under the leader of the rebellion against Eryx, Maxis.

braided hair:

There was a time when Reese trained for the royal army. But when it came time for the final test and vows, he couldn’t allow them to scan his memories. He has secrets he can not allow known. So he was kicked out. And now he finds himself blackmailed into working for the rebellion. There is no bright light at the end of the tunnel for Reese. No happy ending. He sees only one way for this to end and he welcomes it. But that’s not the way Galena sees it. She saves Reese. She sees something in him that he can’t see. Something worth saving.

Night skies in Eden:

Maxis, the leader of the Rebellion Army, wants power, and will stop at nothing to get it. He wants to be where Eryx is, his rightful place as leader of Eden. With Reese gone, he finds himself a new second in command. He also finds himself a new partner with Serena, the ex-lover of Eryx, who wants revenge of her own. These two are both as black hearted as they come.

journal:

But is this just about a battle for power between Eryx and Maxis? Or is there more to it? We are introduced to a new player in this fight of good vs. evil, dark vs. light. We learn of the spiritu, usually they remain invisible throughout our lives, silently guiding us. But in this case, the light spiritu for Reese, Clio, and the dark spiritu for Maxis, Falon, make themselves known and we learn of their roles in all of this.

good vs evil:

This was a fantastic continuation to this series. I loved the romance between Galena and Reese and the slow healing of Reese’s soul. At the same time, the suspense kept me turning the pages as Maxis tried to find a way to beat Eryx and turn the council against him. This is truly a story of good against evil as Eryx, his family and his army do their best to defend their country against those that seek their power. I can’t wait to see what Rhenna Morgan has in store for us in the next book.

Plot and Story Line
What a AMAZING read this was!! One of the best fantasy romance themed stories I have read in a long time. I just couldn't get enough, and the moment I sat down to read I was just consumed by this one and WOW....this author is on my favorite author list now. And I can't wait to get the first book because really I loved Eryx and Lexi---they were so cute together. Lexi plays a huge role in this story because she is close to Galena, she was raised in the mortal human world, so she is spirited, flirt and fun. I loved how carefree she is and she really helps the "He man" mentality that surrounds Lexi and Galena and helps tone down the alpha male tendencies.

This is quite an epic romance in some unique ways. I really found this story so enchanting and compelling and I was cheering for these two because they really have to struggle over some hurdles before they get their HEA. The biggest struggle in my thinking, is her family. She has a close bond to her brothers Eryx and Ramsay.
"Remember Ramsay, Not all battles are fought with weapons. The heart is a valiant weapon for those brave enough to wield it"

So you can imagine how hard it must be for her to decide over love and family. It really tests her, but she realizes pretty quickly how important it is to stand by the man she loves and she is solid in every way that matters. I really couldn't contain my excitement while I was reading this one. What I found most unique was the magical elements, I loved seeing how different it was from other Fantasy romances I have read. The author does a great job with doing great world building and even though this is the second book in the series I didn't feel lost. It weaves the reader gradually in with each chapter, and you see more and more of this world step by step which I loved. Even though I really would love to read the first book due to the sweet and easy going relationship that Lexi and Eryx.

The romance that builds between Galena and Reese was heart throbbing in every way. It is compelling and vibrant and from the beginning you see their strong connection...this bond is slowly building but its strong from the beginning. We see how they are both tested and how it strengths what they have together. I found this to be a story I couldn't put down. I would recommend reading this when you have plenty of time to read it without any interruptions because you won't want to be disturbed while reading it. I loved the details that is put into this story and it really makes the story come alive. This is a story that I would recommend to anyone that love a splendid romance that will captive your heart!!
The Cover
This is one of those covers that would make you pick it up just because of the imagery shown. I have such a weakness for muscular backs...and boy this model is mouth watering delicious.
Overall View
Healing Eden is a vibrant and nail biting intense romance that is riveting and sensual!!! A STIMULATING PAGE TURNER!!

Excerpt

“Reese’s heart stumbled then took off at a pounding gallop. Of all the reasons he might have rationalized to explain Galena’s visit, a personal request hadn’t been one of them.

She needed him. Not wanted, but needed. His cock stirred, and a rush of something dark and primitive swamped his reason. He shifted to ease the hard press behind his jeans, caution the only thing that kept him locked in place. Surely he’d misinterpreted things. Yesterday’s kiss had just been a gift, a sendoff from a generous woman before he met his death. Hadn’t it?

“Say something.” Galena whispered, the rasped request so vulnerable it raked inside his chest.

Maybe he hadn’t misunderstood.

She ducked her head, gripped the chair at her side for a beat, and turned away. “I should go.” Chin high, she strode toward the door.

“No.” He burst across the room with Myren speed and slammed his palm against the door to block her escape.

He caged her against the wall, her back to his front. Her ear nearly brushed his lips, her neck exposed by the long, thick braid down her back. He dragged his finger down the center of the plait. Myrens rarely bound their hair in any fashion outside of a relationship as it signaled commitment. The idea she’d come here bound to someone else rankled. “Why did you bind it?”

“The wind.” Energy bristled off her, and her stance made her seem torn between flight and surrender.

“There’s no one else?”

She peeked over one shoulder and shook her head, eyes trained on the floor.

The breath he’d been holding released and “stirred the fine hairs at her nape. He toyed with the platinum bead keeping the braid in place at the tip. “Will you let me free it?”

An innocent question for a human, but for a Myren it was intimate. A gift restricted to deeply tied lovers and mates.

She lifted her gaze, bringing her full lips close enough her breath fluttered against his face. “Please.”

His heart jolted, just the illusion of intimacy with this woman driving adrenaline through his bloodstream like a mainlined drug. He kissed her barely parted lips and groaned, imagining her soft, plump mouth stretch around his cock.

“Turn around,” he breathed against her mouth.

She shivered and turned, but kept her gaze locked to his until the last moment.

Using his mind, he warmed and loosened the platinum bead, and slipped it free. He sifted through the soft strands one section at a time until the fiery mass spilled down her back, unleashing more of her unique scent. He nuzzled the spot behind her ear. How easy it would be to lose himself with this woman. In her scent and her warmth. He let out a rough exhale. “This is wrong.”

She stiffened, but he tightened his grip on her hips and kept her locked in place.

“The secrets.” He pressed a lingering kiss where her neck and shoulders met. “They’ll hurt you and your brothers.”

“They’re only secrets if you’re not willing to own them.” She met his stare and a shiver rattled through her. Covering his hands with hers, she urged them up her torso. “I’m willing to own this.”

This PNR series is turning out to be one of my favorites. I mean, who wouldn’t want to live in Eden? Yes, THAT Eden (sigh).

Ok, lets recap first. In the first installment ,human Lexi discovers that she is indeed, not just human, but Myren. She’s shown Eden by the king, Eryx who is hotter than sin. They fall in love and now Lexi and Eryx work together in protecting the humans and Myrens from a prophecy that we’re still trying to learn more about. Ok, vague, but I’m trying to move on here…

In this second installment, we pick up where we left off. Well sort of. More like we get to relive a battle scene and a moment between Reese and Galena. Reese becomes a prisoner and we quickly learn why he was fighting against the Kingdom. Galena, healer and sister to the king, can’t stop thinking about Reese, for more reason than one. Do I really have to mention that sparks fly between the two? I think that’s already a given, right?
Here’s the part of the story that you don’t know about which drew me in even more so than the actual love story itself. We’re introduced to a new race. Yep. And I have to admit that this new race has me thinking whether this could be “real”. I mean, why not, right? I don’t want to give away that this new race is, because when you read it, you’ll be like, “What? Awesome!”

Needless to say, both Reese and Galena are forced to make decisions that will change everything in both of their lives, as individuals and as a couple. Don’t worry; we still get visits from Lexi and Eryx in this. Yes, the bad guy is still out there and causing havoc, giving the Shantos family a run for their money.

Psst….I already can’t wait for the next one!!!!!!!! Bring it on!!!!!!!

What a fabulous paranormal romance !
This is Galena and Reece's story and even though I started this series at book 2 I was able to pick up the thread and back story for this tale.

Set in Eden, the world is divided basically into those who wish to over throw the rulers (rebellion) and enslave humans against the good guy's of Eden (the Myren).

This story starts by Reece trying to sacrifice himself for Galena and her in the final moments jumping into action to stop him......I just knew I'd have one fantastic LOVE story from there.

Galena has brothers Eryx (the extremely HOT king) and Ramsay (as fierce a warrior as he is a female wooer !!). I digress there is Lexi who is human (or part at least) who is in the running to be queen....you lucky gal. These are all our good guy's. Although Reece at first is treated as a traitor as he originally fights with Maxis who is a major player n the rebellion.

Truth's are revealed, relationships tested, evil is thwarted, lust betrays.....believe me its ALL going on !!

Did I enjoy ?....oh yeah !!.

Would I recommend ?.....yes, but on reflection I would actually read book 1 first to fully appreciate this series.

Would I read more in this series ?....Absolutely !!

Well done Rhenna !

Many thanks to Netgalley for this opportunity.

Later peeps xx

After finishing Unexpected Eden I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’d be waiting impatiently to get my greedy little hands on the next in the series because I loved the world that it was set in, Eden never looked like this in my head, and I really wanted to spend more time with the Myrens, especially Galena and Ludan. So to find out that Healing Eden was Galena and Reese’s story it totally up the ante on my impatience but the wait was totally worth it! Healing Eden was a fun, steamy read with a well thought out plot and filled with great characters.

Galena was one of my favorites from the first book and I really liked her in this one. She understands and accepts her role as the Malran’s (King’s) sister and all the pomp and circumstance that goes with it, but that doesn’t mean that she allows him, or her other brother, to control her every move. She follows her heart even when it doesn’t coincide with what others around her think is right.

Then there is Reese, half of me wanted to strangle him while the other half wanted to hug him. His reasons for being apart of the rebellion were understandable, though misguided.. Thankfully, he does redeem himself, though he does have quite a few mountains to traverse with Eryx and Ramsey, Galena’s brothers, and talk about total book boyfriend material. He’s got an alpha streak, but is still sweet, charming and talk about sexy, the man definitely has it going on!

As far as their courtship, I really liked how it played out. It could have been filled with a lot of angsty drama due to the fact that Reese had been apart of the rebellion, but that didn’t happen. There was drama, but it was from the outside, not between them. Yes they had doubts as to where they stood with each other, but met it head on instead of letting things get muddled in unnecessary worry. And with each step they took towards their HEA it not only brought them closer together, but they also brought out the best in each other and made them stronger in the end.

The issue of the rebellion and Maxis was ever present throughout the book and I found myself sitting on the the edge of my proverbial seat waiting to see what would happen next, especially at the 70% mark and beyond. I thought that the various twists and turns in the overall story arc were well thought out and executed, as well as the secondary ones that were woven into it. And that ending? So did not see it coming, but found it made perfect sense.

The writing was engaging and paced well. The multiple 3rd person POV worked very well for me. Being able to know what they were all thinking and feeling only added more depth to the story and the world. It also meant that I got to spend time with the characters that I’d come to really like from the first book, something that scored big brownie points with me. It was fun to see Lexi in full on malress mode and now I’m quite interested to see what the future holds for Ramsey, but Ludan is still my absolute favorite, though Jagger has peaked my interest.

The Bottom Line: A great addition to the series that only served to make me want more!

This is a paranormal battle and romance in a new to me world though as this is the second novel in the series.

There are humans in this world and Myren. The Myren live in Eden and they have a range of paranormal abilities and they are ruled by a king, Eryx and his wife, Lexi, the romance for whom was apparently the focus of the first novel. The Myren are having problems because there is a rebellion, led by Maxis who wants to be King instead of Eryx.

The focus of this story is Reese, the half brother of Maxis - though Maxis doesn’t know this! With a third species, the spiritu entering the battle, nothing will be the same again. Reese has loved Eryx’s sister, Galena, from afar for years but said and done nothing. When she heals him in battle they connect. This is fraught with difficulties as Reece is, reluctantly, fighting for the rebellion and she supports her brother.Maybe the truth is the only thing that can save them all?

An intriguing tale of good v evil and, although it took some getting into initially because I hadn’t read the earlier novel, it still works as a standalone in the end. I have to say that I loved the ending though things still aren’t all sorted and I can’t wait to have an opportunity to read the next book in this series and see how things work out further! It is well written, flows well and has plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader reeling and wondering what on earth could happen next!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.

In the opening of this book 2 of the Eden series the author ties in some scenes from Unexpected Eden (Eden #1) from a different point of view. I was excited to see that the characters she picked for this book were the ones that intrigued me in book 1.

The primary female is healer Galena, sister to Eryx and Ramsey. Her character is presented in a manner that is dynamic and unassuming. It is refreshing to see a female character become stronger throughout the story in a manner that retains her softness.

Reese, the primary male character is a character that is written in a complex way where there are lots of layers that the author slowly peels away. I enjoyed how we are slowly drawn through the story and shown that sometimes outward appearances aren't all there is to a story.

This story is about making wrong choices, trying to correct them and loving someone so much that you want to help them save themselves. Visual descriptions are amazing throughout the book and the author has a beautiful way with words and emotions.

I can't wait till book 3. I hope it deals with either Ramsey or Ludan as the main male character. You'll need to read this series it's exciting and different is a great way.

Healing Eden was the second book in the Eden Series. Unexpected Eden was the first paranormal romance I'd ever read. I absolutely loved it and thus started my new passion for paranormal romance.

In this second book, I was further embraced by Rhenna Morgan's incredibly ability to create a world unlike anything we could ever imagine. Eden is a place we'd all like to live. The people, the customs, clothing, traditions all speak of another time, something almost old-world, but still modern in a way that the reader can easily connect to. In book two, the story continues with a healer and a warrior. It has an almost Romeo and Juliet theme to it with star crossed lovers but it takes the concept to an entirely new plain of existence.

I felt as though I was watching a movie as I read. The relationships, environment, and intense plot jumped off the pages to dance with my muse. Plain and simple, the Eden Series is one I will read again and again and enjoy new facets as I step into something undeniably beautiful.

I completely enjoy the way this author writes. Her world building is great, but it's her characters that are the best part. They're all well developed and so believable. Not to mention engaging and entertaining. I'm thinking that this series will become one of my favorites.

I absolutely LOVED the first book of this series, and while I still really liked this one, I just can't give it the full five stars for one reason. I wasn't too into the main couple this time. I love Eryx. His personality and just everything he says and does endears me to him. But Reese wasn't alpha enough for me I think. Oh, he's a great man to be sure with his honor and beliefs though. Lexi is usually fun to have around because of her snark and her human upbringing so I enjoy her character. But Galena has been raised to always be composed and regal to fit her position, so she's not all that fun. She does change throughout the story though a bit. And when she does argue back for what she wants, it didn't have the impact on me I think it was supposed to. So while I think Reese and Galena are fine as a couple, it was the parts with Eryx and Lexi that I still favored.

We finally find out what the big secret that Reese has been keeping is. It's understandable how he would think the way he did in the past to force him on his current path, but at the same time, you kind of want to smack him for that decision. Having been captured by Eryx's men and figuring his life is forfeit no matter what he does, he wants to do something to make up for all the wrong he's done. Eryx hears him out and agrees to his plan. Which goes pretty darn well and Reese has earned his freedom and a pardon. Actually, almost everything that happens goes well for Eryx this time around until the very end.

His whole life Reese has wanted a family and Galena has always been a presence he couldn't ignore. When face to face with her so many years later, he still can't help the draw he feels toward her. Galena feels the same pull, but for her it's more complicated. He's a traitor and she's the Malran's sister. No matter how you spin it, it wouldn't look good. But it gets to the point where she doesn't care anymore because she wants to be happy and with Reese she is. Her brothers are not too thrilled with the idea, but they still give their blessing.

As it turns out, things are a lot bigger than the Myren rebellion. There is a race of beings called the Spiritu that are pretty much the voice in your head. There are dark and there are light and a balance must be maintained. But there is a rouge group among the dark that are throwing that balance totally out of wack for their own evil purposes by way of Maxis. What they never counted on was him having a change of heart when he learns something that has a profound impact on him no matter how much he didn't want it to. And this only complicated things for everybody.

The ending was good with a lot of things happening. Some crazy, and some proud. And one thing dealing with Ian that I can't wait to get an answer for.

Picking up where the first left off, Healing Eden is again unique and unexpected as Rhenna Morgan gives us glimpses of Lexi and her increasing comfort levels in Eden, and the overriding plot line of good v evil is still in play, but at the core, this is the love story of Galena and Reece.

Morgan’s world building and history for the Myren that was so well-established in the first book is just as strong in this second, allowing readers to jump into the story without feeling like they are totally lost. This couple, however, has some obstacles from the get go. To start, Galena’s brother Eryx is King, she’s the healer and dedicated to helping those who need it. Unfortunately the battle for control (and the good v evil part of the storyline) is a seemingly never-ending struggle, and of course, Reese is on the wrong side. Or is he? The second in command to Maxis, Reese is a warrior for the other side. But then, Reese sacrifices himself to keep Galena safe (cue love songs, white doves and cupids) and you just know that this will be epic.

But Reese wasn’t a willing participant in the rebellions, he has secrets too deep that he doesn’t want known, and is sure that he is unworthy of Galena. But apparently no one clued Galena in on Reese’s unsuitability, because she sees someone worthy of respect and trust, and even love.

Add to that pile of awesomeness just waiting to be discovered, there is another player in the good v evil, light v dark battle, and these spiritu (good and bad) will push the edges of everyone’s lines, testing relationships, family ties and loyalties. There’s still a significant amount of head-hopping, less jarring than in the first title, and the story has all of those ‘moments’ that makes fans of fantasy swoon, while keeping romance fans happy: quests, battles, passion, deception, plots and above it all, relationships that highlight the real connections and hearts of those within them.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility

Unpredictable plot, with astounding characters!!!

Reese has been lost, wanting to be found. He has betrayed his beliefs, all on a promising to a dying mother. Could he believe in second chances?

Galena is a caring, loving woman that has played a part for so long, that she doesn't really remember when has she done something only for her own pleasure. Now, she is faced with one of the hardest to choices of her life. Does she gives love a chance, or she is bound by her duties?

This second book of the series, has taken everything I believe I knew about the story and threw it away. Yes, this is no Cinderella's fairy tale. Or at least not how I have pegged on book one. This is more like when Cinderella dresses as warrior and fights her way to get her happy ending. And Prince Charming? He looks more like a frog than anything else. A very sexy, alpha male frog!

Healing Eden expanded the world built created on book one. It has a cohesive, fast-paced plot. I really appreciate how the author has intertwined both worlds, Eden and Evan.

The characters development shown here is surprising and fascinating. They are all multi-dimensional and very easy to relate. There are so many secondary characters that I could pick to learn more about, that I don't really know how Ms. Morgan will be able to choose among them for her future installments of the series. The duality of the characterization here is superb. There isn't one person that's all too good, or too bad. The hero, is a traitor; and the evil, may be savable.

You MAY buy this book because you believe in second chances; you SHOUD buy this book because you are looking for a special read; you MUST get this book if you are ready to "give love a chance"!

We got a bit of a preview of the main characters in book 1 Unexpected Eden; Reese Theron and Galena Shantos. Reese is injured, captured and treated as the enemy. Galena's duty is to her gifts and as she heals an injured Reese, she realizes that he is her fated mated. Reese has loved her for ages from afar, when he trained with her brother Ramsay as part of the royal guards. Having betrayed the royal family and reluctantly becoming a part of the rebellion, he is determined to reveal the truth behind his defection. He must prove to them, especially to Ramsay who was once a close friend and confidante. that his intentions are honorable and he will do everything to gain their trust and aid them in their quest to capture Maxis and end the rebellion.

But there are darker forces at work and they are the driving force behind Maxis' pursuit of the rebellion. Reese must reveal his deepest darkest secrets so that he can win the favor of the Shantos family, make Galena his mate and help save the Myren race and Eden. A passionate and emotional book with plenty of action and supernatural elements.

My star rating for HEALING EDEN is: 4 out of 5 stars! :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading a
Copy of ‘HEALING EDEN’(via: BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress.com):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novel of the Eden Series.***

‘Healing Eden’ is the second novel of the Eden Series and continues to blossom into an intricate and enchanting story-line. This novel falls into the Paranormal and Fantasy genres and delivers more than just those aspects. This novel has been written in the multiple character P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Reese Theron, Galena Shantos, Eryx Shantos, and Maxis Steysis.

Reese Theron once trained and fought alongside the Myren kind, to protect and serve under the king/Malran but then he found himself fighting alongside the Lomos rebels. He was now viewed as a traitor and a defector. Very few know his true background and who his brother is. When he comes across a beautiful woman that he remembers from before he turned his back on the Myrens, Galena, he feels a pull toward her that he can’t explain. Will he ever get the chance to be with her or is his betrayal going to be his doom?

Galena Shantos tried to heal as many as she could on the night of the battle between the Myren and the rebels, but so many have died. She had no idea that someone else was watching her until he came out of hiding. When the man watching her gets attacked, for some strange reason she feels the urge to protect and heal this man named Reese. The only problem is that he is a fighter from the enemy side. Galena finds herself torn between loyalty to her family and loyalty to the feelings that her heart won’t allow her to deny.

Maxis Steysis will do whatever it takes to destroy the Myrens, bring down their king Eryx, and rule with his Lomos rebellion set on enslaving humans. He has a connection with Reese Theron as he had with the Phybe, and Maxis hopes to use it to kill his stratego Reese but he’s been captured by his enemy. Will Maxis bring down the Myren kind? What will Reese do and who will he show his personal loyalty to? Will Galena effect his views or will he always remain tied to Maxis after betraying Ramsey and the Myren?

Will Eryx, the leader(malran) of the Myren, help find Lexi’s(his malress) imprisoned human friend Ian before it’s too late? And what questions will arise and be answered involving many of the characters tied to their world? From chapter to chapter, the intriguing story-line will draw you in with its entertaining display of of exciting and sexy twist-and-turns into the world of the Myrens and those out to either destroy them or love them. I do recommend this enjoyable novel and definitely this incredible series. It is worth checking out and adding it to your TBR list! :)

My star rating for HEALING EDEN is: 4 out of 5 stars! :)

Healing Eden by Rhenna Morgan is the second book in her Eden series. To give you a brief refresher, Eryx and Lexie were our mated couple in the first book, when Lexie discovers she is human and Myren. She comes to Eden to stand beside her mate, Eryx,the King of Eden. Lexi and Eryx were hot and in this book they both continue to play a major role to bring peace for the Myrens against the evil forces trying to takeover Eden.

In Healing Eden, Galena, who is Eryx’s sister, and Reese, considered a traitor to Myren, are our heroes in this book. During a battle, Reese is captured and put into prison. Galena, who is a healer, helps heal his wounds. Her other brother, Ramsey, who was a long time friend to Reese, many years before, threatens to kill him unless he gives up information on the villain, Maxis. Pushing her brother away to allow her to heal Reese, Galena feels the immediate attraction, as well as sensing all that is good with him. Reese has never forgotten his feelings for the young Galena, when he was on Ramsey’s team, and even in the dire position he is in, he cannot resist kissing her.

Galena cannot get her feelings for Reese under control, and tries to get her brothers to allow Reese to help them find and destroy Maxis. The truth will come out why Reese left the Shantos family, and went to Maxis. Decisions are made that will give Reese a chance to redeem himself, and earn back some trust. Galena knows how she feels, and knows Reese is telling the truth, and she fully trusts him. But dealing with her stubborn brothers is not easy.

What follows is an exciting adventure where Reese will put himself in danger to help stop the rebellion and Maxis. There were a number of surprises throughout the book which kept our interest.

A very nice romance between Galena and Reese, that has help from Lexie, who pushes Eryx to read Reese’s mind to learn the truth, and to allow his sister to have what she wants…Reese. This was a nice story, with some wonderful characters. I loved Eryx and Lexie in the first book, and now they are joined by Galena and Reese. I am hoping Ramsey will get his story in the next book. Rhenna Morgan keeps the flow going smoothly in Healing Eden, and making us wait impatiently for the next one.

Healing Eden is the second book in the Eden Series. I loved the first book and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. It’s important to note that this book cannot be enjoyed as a stand-alone. You’ll simply miss too much of the back story. Although Morgan does a decent job of reminding the reader of important aspects, there are many clues in the first book, which are necessary to truly enjoy this one (some clues still haven’t come to fruition). FYI: Unexpected Eden totally rocked so it’s not a chore or anything.

I loved Reese and Galena. It took a while for Galena to come out of her shell, but when she did – watch out! You go girl! It took Reese a while (like years and years), but when he manned up – he manned up! I’m totally in love with the guy. Once he admits to his past mistakes, he makes it clear that he will do absolutely anything for those he loves. *Swoons* The sex is some of the best that I’ve read. Seriously sizzled.

The story is why I fell in love with the fantasy genre a few years back. It’s a whole new world to explore and forget about your own world for a few hours. Morgan is a great writer. The story flows well and is nearly unputdownable (yeah, that’s a word now). If you’re looking for a great read, full of romance, hot and steamy love scenes as well as an awesome story, you’ve found it.

Rhenna Morgan has done it again. Just like her first novel in this series Unexpected Eden. Healing Eden was firing on all cylinders. If Reese wasn’t a fictional character, I would have found him just to give him a hug. Because he needed it badly. Since he is…a fictional character that is. I just have to accept that Galena did it for me.

In Healing Eden where nothing goods grows in the shadow of secrets. Reese Theron who we briefly met in Unexpected Eden found himself as a captive. Questions that is to be answered in this novel. Who is Reese Theron really, and what is his involvement with the rebels.

I am just going to let you found out these answer for yourself. But I can tell you that Reese wasn’t who we all thought. He was so misunderstood. His family secrets was a big shocker once I read what he had to hold back from his friends. The real reason why he was fighting with the rebels and not against them.

Healing Eden a great addition to the Eden Series. On sale now, don’t forget to pick-up your copy of this fabulous paranormal-fantasy romance. This story will leave you wanting to continue this epic series.

This is the second book in this series and it sort of picks up where the first left off. There is still a war going on with good verse evil. Maxis still wants Eryx power and will stop at nothing to get it. Eryx lost his former next in command when he turned traitor to join Maxis but there is always more that meets the eye. Galena, Eryx sister saves Reese because she felt good and conflict in him while trying to heal him. She shares a connection with him and know he is the key to helping her family and heart. It was another wonderful fast pace story, that kept my interest. I recommend this as well as the first book so you'll be caught up. I was granted an ARC FROM NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! Just finished this story last night and loved it. Reese is something of a fallen angel, struggling to redeem himself. He is prepared to die to prove he was at one time a being worthy of the trust placed in him. A trust most of his companions withhold due to his past dealings. Galena might be the only one who truly believes in the man, and goes out of her way to help him redeem his reputation.
Morgan's writing style evokes great emotion within the reader. The couple risked all to save their world and rescue the humans the villain Maxis wishes to enslave. There are elements of intrigue, danger, friendship, fantasy and best of all romance. I haven't read the first book in the series yet, but it's already waiting on my Kindle to be indulged soon.
I very much recommend this story.

I liked it better than the first, only because I had gotten use to the Myren language. I liked the good & evil Spirits, kind of like a guardian angel to guide you. I felt sorry for Maxis, reading his mother's journal I think had a profound impact on him. I hope the "Great One" gave him the redemption he needed & I feel he deserved, since he was Falon's puppet most of his life. Serena needs to be stripped of her powers & sent to Evad, penniless and in a psychiatric ward for the rest of her life. Angus right along with her.

This is the second book in this series and it picks up where the first left off. Rhenna has written a wonderful follow-up to Unexpected Eden. In a time of unrest and a war that could consume them all, Reece and Galena are torn between their duties, forbidden love and the loyalty and devotion they owe their families.
I recommend that you read this series in order, but I wholeheartedly recommend.

SNSBAH Rating: 5.0

~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Galena is sister to the king and her people's healer. She known for her loyalty and sweet nature. When Reese is wounded, she heals him and that action takes her on the journey of a lifetime.
Reese is known as a traitor, but his family secret saves him from an uncertain death. Galena gives him reason to live and a hope for a future.
This book as well as the first one is one of the best books I have read to date.
Sequel even better than the first.
I liked the first book. This was even better than the first. More to the characters, liked the story better. It moved along; romance, action. WITHOUT the interminable, stifling, repetitive, breast beating mea culpa that starts on the first page of a lot of like books and takes up at least a quarter of the rest of the story. You made a mistake? Bummer. Suck it up, deal with it, and get to fixing it (THAT'S the STORY)-as was done here. Hats off to Ms. Morgan. Will have to read the rest of the series to see if it keeps up with this one.
This is the second book in the series and they must be read in order to understand what is happening. I really love this series. This book continues on from where the first one left off and focuses on Galena and Reese. Reese pretends he is going to hurt Galena so the warriors will kill him but Galena isn’t going to let that happen; so instead he is just injured. Galena feels something for Reese and heals him saying she did it because he might have info he can use. She then convinces both her brothers so talk to him and let her finish healing him instead of just killing him or keeping him locked in the dungeon. Galena’s brothers notice how she acts around Reese and are confused by this. Meanwhile Eryx still has to deal with the Maxis problem as well as others that have steamed from him and the rebellion. While healing Reese Galena sees something in him. Reese has always like Galena and seen her differently but he figures after everything he has done and the secret he still hides he has absolutely no chance with her. Galena isn’t willing to give up on what she feels for Reese. This is the first time someone has seen her the way he does and she can’t get enough of it. For once Galena is going to go after what she wants and not let what everyone else expects from her to stop her. Reese is visited by someone no one else knows about and given some life changing advice he decides to follow. This may allow him the chance with Galena he previously though he would never get. Are Reese and Galena destined to be Mates? If, so how will her brothers and everyone else react to this news? What will Maxis’s next step be? The more I read this series the more I love it. The characters are fantastic and I love supernatural type books. Reese has been hiding a secret his whole life and was worried about how people would react to it and decided to keep it to himself and in turn found himself doing things he never wanted to do. Galena has always been seen and treated a certain way and has now has a chance to step out and truly be herself. Galena is a wonderful, strong woman. I was glad I got to read a little more about Lexi and Eryx’s relationship in this book. I hope there is going to be another book in this series and if there is I have a feeling about who it may focus on in the next book. This book has some twists and turns and they made the book all that more interesting. I look forward to reading more books by Rhenna Morgan in the future. Another great job Rhenna.
