Coming home wasn't the plan, but neither was the bad luck that came with.

Clover ends up stranded on her best friend's porch with her backpack and the wrong hide-a-key. The last person she expects to come to her rescue is Beckett, her best friend's brother.

Beckett has built a quiet life on his ranch centered around being a single dad to his young daughter, Lennon. He doesn't have room for distractions... especially not Chaos Clover.
But when a storm washes out the only bridge in and out of the ranch, the temporary stay turns into something far more dangerous.

Clover finds herself falling for Beckett, his daughter, and the family she never meant to want. They have to decide if this was only ever temporary...or if crashing with Beckett is exactly where Clover's meant to be.

Atley Rion is a debut mood author, and the mood is always spicy. She began writing when her mother ran the tiny town newspaper where she lived, and her first published piece was an obituary mourning the loss of her imaginary friend, Georgeffry, who was in a tragic incident when her mother threw him in the dryer with the laundry. Hot buttons on jeans will forever deserve her hatred.

When she's not creating swoon-worthy worlds with cowboys, demons, goblin kings, bouncers, or businessmen, she can be found nestled in the Appalachian mountains wearing chunky glitter platform rainboots and having conversations with her chickens while her husband and dogs question if she's finally lost it.

She believes everyone deserves a love interest who stares at them as if they're made of magic. She knows that true love exists because she lives it every day, and hopes that you find yours.

This was a very fast, easy read and honestly felt like the perfect little palate cleanser. Since it’s a shorter book, everything moved pretty quickly, which made it super easy to get through in one sitting. But there were some things I wasn't a fan of.

My biggest struggle was Beckett. 😭 He gave me emotional whiplash with how hot and cold he was toward Clover. One minute he was upset with her, the next he was VERY MUCH not acting upset 🥵 and then suddenly it could never happen again???Sir, please pick a lane. 😂 also why was there so much unnecessary smut 😭 you guys haven't seen each other in forever keep it in your pants LOL

Lennon was easily my favorite part of the book. She was adorable, made me laugh multiple times, and I loved their little tradition of sharing their favorite part of the day. Those moments were so sweet and honestly stole the show for me.

There was also a twist near the end that completely caught me off guard. While it was definitely surprising, it involved something I’m personally not a fan of, so it ended up changing my overall feelings about the story.

I also wish we’d gotten more of Clover and Beckett’s history. Their connection felt a little surface-level at times, and I wanted more depth before everything started moving so quickly. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Overall, this was a cute, easy romance that kept me turning the pages. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking or especially memorable for me, but I still had a good time reading it and would recommend it if you’re looking for something quick, sweet, and low-angst.

An adorable spicy novella length story!! I love families that come together non-traditionally and Crash With Me felt healing for a couple of characters, while also giving that wholesome family vibe in the end!

Second chance romances are one of my bread and butter romance sub genres too - and I REALLY liked how this was done in terms of characters who really could’ve gone either way when they saw each other again! It’s not easy to let your guard down but single dad Beckett and our FMC Clover were really great together!

"Crash With Me" by Atley Rion is a short but sweet small-town, single-dad, second-chance, best-friend's-brother romance. It starts quickly and ends even quicker. I am not the biggest second-chance fan, so I was a little worried, but I think Atley Rion does a good job building the relationship between Clover (FMC) and Beckett (MCC). Clover has been best friends with Brynn, Beckett's little sister, since they were little kids. Beckett and Clover got on each other's nerves their entire childhoods... until they didn't. Things happened, and they went their separate ways. Clover moved to the East Coast to become an animator, and Beckett, well, Beckett ended up becoming a single father, unbeknownst to her. How did Clover not know, you might ask? Clover begged Brynn not to talk about Beckett once he got engaged, and she sure kept that promise. Now, thirteen years later, Clover is back in their small hometown of Ashtone Ridge, ready to start over. Being the mess that she is, she's locked out of Brynn's house and needs Beckett to come and save her... with his six-year-old daughter, Lennon, in tow. Shocked, Clover takes to Lennon quickly, and Lennon to Clover... and her fluffy cat Purrlock Holmes, too. A sudden, powerful rainstorm traps them all together in his incredible farmhouse. As the two of them reconnect, old wounds bubble up to the surface, but so do old memories, old heartaches, and old flames. Clover can't seem to stay away from Beckett and Lennon, and their forced proximity isn't helping matters! OhhhhHhHh nOoOoOoOoO, a grumpy, hot, single dad and the one who got away are stuck together during a rainstorm where they can't leave his immaculate house and his adorable daughter?!?! How TeEeEeEerrIiiiIiIble!!! I enjoyed this one! As I said, it's short but sweet. Things get started VERY quickly in this story. The tension between Clover and Beckett is built up early on, so when it all comes to a head, I was ready for feelings to be divulged and tongues to clash, if you catch my drift. I enjoyed watching Clover discover that the things she previously wanted in life are antithetical to the person she is now. I got a little frustrated with Beckett's quickness to bring up the bad things about the past, but I get that they were both hurt by the things that happened. His protective nature and quite steadfastness, especially when it comes to his daughter, made up for it, though. This story is full of humor, healing, spice, and self-discovery. The characters are all great, and I would love to see more from this universe!

Thank you to Atley Rion and Luna Literary for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

3.75🌟, 3🌶️

I just finished this sweet little story, and it left me with some very mixed but mostly fond feelings.

It captures that classic small-town, second-chance magic perfectly, focusing on Clover who returns home only to get stranded in a farmhouse with her childhood frenemy, Beckett. He is a grumpy single dad now, and their forced proximity is pure fun. The absolute highlight for me was his young daughter, Lennon, who is precious and adds such a lovely layer of warmth to every scene she graces.

While Beckett’s mood shifts were a bit intense at times, the story remains a truly engaging and easy read. I loved how the narrative maintained its charm, even when things got complicated, and the overall found-family dynamic is incredibly heartwarming. The connection between Clover and Beckett feels genuine, and even with a surprising late-stage twist that caught me off guard, the story maintains a cozy, lighthearted energy that kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Ultimately, this is a wonderful choice for a low-angst afternoon escape. It offers a sweet, uncomplicated path to a happy ending that makes for a great, breezy experience. It hits all those comforting romance notes while being short enough to finish in just one sitting.

If you want a fast, sweet read with an adorable kiddo, you will probably enjoy this one as much as I did.

Huge thank you to Atley Rion and Luna Literary for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨

An easy, enjoyable, and quick read. If you like small town, second chances with a single dad this story is for you.

Clover and Beckett have been friends since childhood. Clover is best friends with Brynn, Becketts younger sister. Time did separate them but now they are both back in their hometown. Beckett is now a single dad, and Clover is ready to start over.

Life and mother nature have other ideas, as storm traps them in his home. I do like that as they reconnect, they do have the tough conversation. It is nice to read about their childhoods. Beckett has a wonderful relationship with his daughter.

An easy book to recommend, a cozy afternoon read.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Okay, so I loved this book. The relationship between Clover and Lennon was so frickin' sweet. I'm not usually into books with kids, but this one I really enjoyed. I thought that the daughter was really, really well written. I also really liked the way that the relationship was between the dad and the kid. And bringing in clover, just made it even better. I thought that the three of them as a little family was the perfect family before they even knew they were the perfect family!!! Obviously this was a shorter book, so it's an accelerated timeline in a way. So there's a little bit of a skip, which I was totally okay with. I'm glad that we got to see the relationship redevelop, and learn more about what happened when they were younger!

I just highly recommend giving this book a read if you want a cozy feeling book but that also hits on some harder topics throughout the story. I felt deeply emotional as I read this and fell in love even more with every page!!!

I legitimately can’t believe this is a debut contemporary romance novel, it was so good!!! I giggled. I cried. I swooned. I fanned myself because the.spice.was.spicing. Alt girl x single dad cowboy. Say less. 🥵

Our main gal Clover leaves Ashstone Ridge to follow her dreams, but has to return years later after a series of unfortunate events. Instead of being comforted by her best friend, she ends up stranded on her bestie’s porch with the wrong hide-a-key. Bestie’s (hot af single dad grumpy cowboy) brother Beckett unwillingly and grumbly comes to Clover’s rescue (they have some history my dudes) and they soon discover a temporary stay at his ranch is turning into something more. Clover finds herself falling again for Beckett, his daughter Lennon, and the ranch.

This book was such a quick and easy read with such relatable characters, but simultaneously had a strong emotional weight and development. Clover is a hot mess express (but like…me too boo) and she’s absolutely hilarious. And she does SO WELL with building a strong, loving relationship with Beckett’s daughter, Lennon. The way Clover explains things and interacts with Lennon. Omggggg. I got sentimental. Beckett, now he’s grumpy. Has some baggage that he needs to work through, kind of runs a little hot and cold for a moment which made me want to flick him on the nose at times, but above all he puts his daughter first and once he came to his senses he was the perfect book boyfriend. All of the supporting characters were enjoyable, well except Hannah…fxck Hannah. I can’t wait to see if this becomes a series, I will DEFINITELY be reading.

This second chance, best friend’s brother romance was absolute perfection!

I loved learning about their history together as the book progressed, as opposed to knowing everything up front. Atley lead us on a trail of delicious breadcrumbs until we had the full picture, which I absolutely loved! I enjoyed the stories about their childhoods and how much they were there for each other, as well as the romance they secretly had in the past. These two were incredibly in love in the past, but were also young and dumb, so the heartache was definitely palpable and the “hate” was 100% real in the present setting. The tension was amazing and definitely kept me coming back chapter after chapter to see what banter they would engage in and when they would finally have their “fuck it” moment 😉

I loved how Clover was dealt a crappy hand and she really just went along with it, making the best and helping where she could. She definitely was a fighter when push came to shove, but she also brought a lot of light and sunshine to Beckett’s and Lennon’s lives. While Beckett would do anything to keep their house afloat, Clover definitely made the house a home.

And Beckett. My GAWD, what a man! I absolutely loved him and his steadiness. Even when they were kids, Beckett was always there, always ready to lend comfort. Growing up, he was also dealt some crappy blows in life, but he persevered and made sure he was being the best father possible for his amazing little girl. I loved how he leant everyone around him a steady strength. I did feel bad that he dealt with anxiety (yay for rep!), but I also loved how Clover helped him to let go of some of his stressors, or at least help him carry the burdens.

Lennon is my girl – funny and sweet, serious and mature for her age. Always saying the damnedest thing. I loved how much she loved Purrlock Holmes and how much she accepted Clover as her “mama” way before anyone else did. This girl was a good judge of character and went ten toes down for her mama “who stayed”. She completely stole the show anytime she was on page, and I loved her fiercely.

Last but not least, I’m going to need a Brynn book!! I absolutely love Brynn and Beckett’s family, and I need to know more about this traveling auntie/bestie who deserves her own HEA!

Thank you to Atley Rion for the opportunity to beta read this book! The thoughts and opinions expressed above are honest and my own.

Crash With Me felt more like a novella than a full-length romance, making it the perfect quick read. Clover returns to Ashstone Ridge after life doesn’t go as planned and ends up stranded on Beckett’s ranch when a storm washes out the only bridge in and out. Forced proximity, a grumpy cowboy single dad, and a second chance at love? Sign me up.

I absolutely loved the cozy small-town vibes and watching Clover slowly find where she belonged. There’s something about the way she comes back to a place she once left behind and is suddenly forced to face everything she ran from that just made the story hit a little deeper. Beckett and Clover were so easy to root for, but the real star of the show was Lennon. 🥹 She is genuinely the cutest little girl ever and immediately decides who she wants as her mama. Every scene with her melted my heart, and honestly she brought so much warmth and softness to the whole story.

The only thing I wish we had gotten was a little more at the end. The ending felt a bit abrupt, and I would have loved a short epilogue because the story wrapped up too soon, and I just wanted more time with Beckett, Clover, and Lennon to really sit in their happiness. It felt like everything ended just as I was fully settling into their world, and I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye yet. Even just a few extra pages of them at home, or seeing what life looked like after everything, would have made it feel a bit more complete for me.

Overall, this was a sweet, cozy romance packed with tropes I love. If you’re looking for a quick read filled with small-town charm, forced proximity, and the cutest little found family, this one is definitely worth picking up.

Thank you to the author for the ARC copy!

I really enjoyed this book. From the beginning, it gave me major Ellis Silver vibes, which instantly pulled me in. I'm a huge fan of second-chance romances, so this was right up my alley.

The chemistry between the characters was great, and I found myself wanting to keep reading to see how everything would work out. It was a quick, easy read that I finished in just two days.

My only small complaint is that it felt like the story skipped over a lot of time. There were a few jumps of several months, and I would have loved to see more of what happened during those moments instead of just moving ahead. I think it would have made me feel even more connected to the characters.

Other than that, I really loved it. It had the romance, the emotions, and enough tension to keep me hooked the whole time. Overall, this was a great read, and I'm already hoping there will be a second book because I'd love to spend more time with these characters!

Excuse me, sir. Mr. Beckett, 𝙨𝙞𝙧. I’m as 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘱 as you are. This was a very perfect start to my sexy cowboy summer. Holy hotness, my guy.

I love a single dad. But when they’re as hot as Buck — I mean, Beckett…I’d do a handful of illegal things and three times as many legal ones just to stick around. I guess for Lenny’s sake, I’ll stick to the legal stuff.

“‘𝘖𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘧𝘹𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳,’ 𝘐 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘯, 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘬, 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘳. ‘𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘹𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘑𝘢𝘯𝘦.’”

Clover is a mess but she’s a mess in that relatable way that feels like you’re being called out on some of your own shxt. She’s also really great with Lennon and that warms our grumpy cowboy all the way up. (Good thing, too. It’s been raining for days.)

“𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘣𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭…”

Beckett is grumpy but there’s a reason for it (isn’t there always a reason for a grumpy asshole to be grumpy 🙄). I fell in love with him when Clover clapped back with “and you didn’t tell me?” So, yeah — pretty damn early on. The way he remembers details, no matter how silly or how small, makes him the perfect book boyfriend.

“𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘯. 𝘖𝘳 𝘢 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮. 𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴? 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 ‘𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩’ 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵, 𝘴𝘰 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵.”

Lennon. My goodness, I loved her. She’s so adorable with her big girl words all messed up. “De-possess” ended me. 🤣

“𝙁𝙭𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙝.”

Fxcking. Hannah. is correct. The balls on this bxtch. Thanks, I hate her.

“𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘈𝘐.”

The end was fairly fast-paced but enjoyable. Even the twists that were introduced closer to the end were wrapped up neatly.

>>> Also: Let’s hear it for a sexy cameltoe moment. 👏🏻🤣

Crash With Me completely wrapped itself around my heart and never let go.

From the very beginning, this story felt like coming home. It had everything I love in a romance: small-town charm, found family, forced proximity, a swoony single dad cowboy, and a heroine trying to figure out where she belongs after life doesn't go according to plan. What I didn't expect was how emotionally attached I would become to Clover, Beckett, and little Lennon.

Clover was such a wonderful heroine. Life had knocked her down more than once, and returning to Ashstone Ridge certainly wasn't part of her plan. I loved how relatable she felt. She was a little chaotic, a little messy, incredibly funny, and had such a huge heart. Watching her slowly rediscover herself after years of chasing a dream that no longer fit the person she had become was one of my favorite parts of the story. Even when things weren't going her way, she kept moving forward, and I found myself rooting for her every step of the way.

And then there was Beckett.

Somebody please point me toward the nearest single-dad cowboy because this man was everything.

Beckett was steady, dependable, protective, and completely devoted to his daughter. While he definitely had moments where I wanted to flick him on the forehead and tell him to stop dwelling on the past, his love for Lennon and his quiet strength more than made up for it. He wasn't flashy or over the top. Instead, he showed his love through his actions, and honestly, those are my favorite kinds of heroes. Every time he showed up for the people he cared about, I fell for him a little harder.

But let's be honest for a second.

Lennon absolutely stole the show.

Every single scene she appeared in melted my heart. She was funny, sweet, wise beyond her years, and completely lovable. Watching her bond with Clover was one of the most heartwarming parts of the book. The relationship that developed between them felt natural, genuine, and so incredibly special. Add in Purrlock Holmes, and I was completely gone.

The forced proximity setup was perfection. A washed-out bridge trapping Clover at Beckett's ranch? Sign me up immediately. The tension between them was there from the start, fueled by years of history, unresolved feelings, and old wounds that neither of them had fully moved past. I loved the way Atley Rion slowly revealed pieces of their past, giving readers little breadcrumbs until the full picture finally came together. It made their reconnection feel even more rewarding.

One of my favorite aspects of the story was the found family element. More than anything, this book is about belonging. Clover never expected to become part of Beckett and Lennon's world, but watching her slowly find a place there was absolutely beautiful. Their little family felt so real and so comforting that by the end I didn't want to leave them behind.

The chemistry between Clover and Beckett was fantastic. The banter was fun, the emotional connection felt genuine, and when they finally stopped fighting their feelings, I was completely invested. Their relationship wasn't perfect, but it felt authentic. They had history, baggage, misunderstandings, and hurt to work through, which made their eventual happily ever after feel earned.

What surprised me most was how much heart this story had. Yes, it's a romance. Yes, there's spice. Yes, there's a hot cowboy. But underneath all of that is a story about healing, forgiveness, family, self-discovery, and finding your way back to the people who feel like home.

Crash With Me was sweet, emotional, funny, romantic, and impossible not to love. Beckett stole my heart, Clover made me cheer for her, and Lennon completely owned every scene she appeared in. By the time I reached the final page, I felt like I was saying goodbye to family, and that's always the sign of a truly special book.

Without hesitation, this is a five-star read for me, and I already miss Ashstone Ridge.

I absolutely adored Crash With Me and honestly, this book wrapped itself around my heart and never let go. Atley Rion delivered the sweetest, swooniest, most comforting small-town romance and I loved every single second of it. This book felt like coming home, and by the end I was smiling through happy tears because I just didn’t want to leave Ashstone Ridge.

Clover, Beckett, and little Lennon completely owned my heart. Seriously, this trio was EVERYTHING.

Clover was such a wonderful heroine. Life had knocked her down more than once, and coming back home wasn’t part of her plan, but I loved watching her slowly find herself again. She was funny, chaotic, and had such a huge heart. I loved that even when things weren’t going according to plan, she never lost herself completely. She deserved happiness so much, and seeing her finally find it made me ridiculously emotional.

And Beckett? Somebody please point me in the direction of the nearest cowboy single dad because this man was perfection. Quiet, dependable, protective, and completely devoted to his daughter. The man had me swooning from the very beginning. Every “Yes, sir” moment had me kicking my feet, and the way he loved with actions instead of words made me fall for him even harder. He tried so hard to resist Clover, but everyone could see they were inevitable.

But honestly, the real star of this book might have been little Lennon. I LOVED HER. Every scene with her melted my heart into a puddle. Watching Clover and Lennon bond was so precious, and seeing Beckett’s little family slowly expand into something bigger and even more beautiful had me emotional in the best way. The found family vibes were absolutely perfect, and I ate up every single second of it.

The forced proximity was top tier. Being trapped together after the bridge washed out? Sign me up. The tension, the quiet moments, the longing, the stolen glances… I was living for all of it. And don’t even get me started on the chemistry between Beckett and Clover because whew. The slow build made every moment feel so much sweeter, and when they finally stopped fighting their feelings, I was grinning like an idiot.

I loved the best friend’s brother aspect, the second-chance vibes, the ranch setting, and the entire small-town atmosphere. Ashstone Ridge felt warm and cozy, and I wanted to move right in. Atley Rion made these characters feel so real that I became completely invested in their happiness.

More than anything, I loved the message that sometimes life falling apart can actually lead you exactly where you’re meant to be. Clover never intended to crash into Beckett’s life, but watching her become part of his and Lennon’s world was absolutely beautiful.

Crash With Me was sweet, emotional, funny, romantic, and full of heart. Beckett stole my heart, Clover made me cheer for her, and Lennon absolutely melted me. By the end, I felt like I was saying goodbye to family, and that’s always the sign of a truly special book.

Five stars without hesitation. I loved this book so much and already miss Clover, Beckett, and sweet little Lennon. ❤️🤠🐴

“I far from hate you, lucky girl,” I say slowly, reverently. “Yours is the only church I attend again and again.”

Crash With Me was such a sweet, cosy, and emotional small-town romance that completely surprised me. As a debut contemporary romance, Atley Rion did such a great job creating characters that felt real, lovable, and easy to root for.

Clover returns to Ashstone Ridge thirteen years after leaving to chase her dreams, only to find herself stranded on her best friend’s porch with a backpack, the wrong hide-a-key, and nowhere to go. The last person she expects to come to her rescue is Beckett—the grumpy, handsome cowboy, her best friend’s brother, and now a single dad.

What starts as a temporary stay at Beckett’s ranch slowly turns into something neither of them expected.

Clover was such a fun character to follow. She’s chaotic, hilarious, and a little bit of a mess, but beneath that she’s incredibly kind and caring. I especially loved watching her relationship with Lennon develop because it never felt forced. It grew naturally into something so beautiful.

Lennon honestly stole my heart. For a six-year-old, she was written with such personality—sweet, smart, respectful, and hilariously sassy. The way Clover interacted with her and became someone Lennon could rely on was one of my favourite parts of the book.

“You, Clover, are the fucking gold standard in my book, and not a soul will compare to you as much as I wished they could have at times. All of you, including your beautiful body, I’m fucking grateful for it, and you should be too.”

And Beckett? This man was frustrating at times, but I couldn’t help loving him. He’s grumpy, protective, and stubborn, but underneath it all, he’s an incredible father who puts Lennon first. The way he cared for his daughter and slowly let Clover back into his life made him such a lovable hero.

I also really appreciated that Beckett and Clover’s relationship wasn’t just about their romance—it was about rebuilding trust, understanding their past, and realizing that they could create something together. The three of them already felt like a family before they even admitted it themselves.

The romance was sweet, emotional, and full of those little moments that make you smile. The chemistry between Clover and Beckett was undeniable, but the tenderness and comfort they found in each other were what truly made their relationship special.

Overall, Crash With Me was a short, wholesome, and heartwarming read filled with found family, second chances, a grumpy cowboy, and a single dad who will make you swoon. The pacing was quick because of the shorter length, but it never took away from the emotional impact of the story.

Thank you so much to the author, Atley Rion, and Luna Literary Management for providing me with an advance copy.

Thank you Luna Literary for the eARC!
Rounding up from 3.5.

Just want to start this off by saying I didn’t know an Appalachian comma was a thing and I love it… it is what I do as well 🤣

For a debut novel, the writing was great! I will definitely read more from Atley Rion ❤️

I enjoyed the story. Clover is coming home after losing her job and due to unforeseen circumstances, she ends up having to stay with her best friend’s brother. The brother she also was sort of dating before she left Ashstone Ridge at 19. Beckett is a single dad just trying to keep his ranch running and is now trapped without power in a house with the woman he loves.

I do wish this book was 100 or so pages longer. While I wouldn’t call this insta-lust (because they had a relationship years ago), they get together quickly… like around 30%. There was some yearning, but I am thinking if we had more pages, we could have had more tension building and small moments where they grew closer.

It also bothered me a bit that they hooked up, he immediately said it couldn’t happen again and then they are hooking up in the next chapter. It just felt a bit inconsistent to me.

There were also a couple time jumps that took me by surprise. She mentioned once that it’s been “a few months” that she has been living at Becketts and then later says it’s been 10 months. I really did want more scenes with Clover and Beckett. I also loved Lennon so having more moments where Clover acts as a momma for her would have been sweet.

All that to say, I just wanted more pages!

The only other thing I will add is that the storyline with Hannah was necessary, but it felt weird he didn’t take care of all that before. I know it was more about her wanting money from Beckett, but it was built up to be this whole thing. I feel like there could have been a different conflict because I just wanted to get back to Clover and Beckett.

Clover & Beckett’s story was so heartfelt, a true second chance romance and little Lennon was the icing on the cake. Their story was written beautifully, it started out with angst and bickering but quickly turned to remembering past feelings and flirting. I loved their pet names for each other throughout the book too. Clover moved back to town after her life crumbled around her and then she just kept having a run of bad luck when she got back too, she really couldn’t catch a break. Literally nothing was going her way, she was the meaning of a hot mess. But Beckett her BFFs older brother who she has some past history with swoops in and rescues her even though she was reluctant at first. And boy did he try to fight his feelings in the beginning. But them being forced to live under the same roof for longer than expected due to a storm stirs up old feelings and flames that never really frizzled out. I loved the witty banter between these two and Beck’s six year old daughter Lennon may have been the funniest one of them all, she brought pure joy into this book and I absolutely loved her connection with everyone. Clover fell hard for little Lennon and their connection was precious. It didn’t take long for Clover and Beck to see that they just fit and how things just seem to come natural for them. Of course some obstacles come their way and they had to learn to navigate those troubles together especially if they wanted to finally have that happily ever after they so desperately want. This book is a reminder that true love is healing, family isn’t always blood, surprises come when you least expect them, and never let go of who and what matters most. And obviously it’s sprinkled with just the right amount of spice! I adored this book, it was short and sweet and I’m really hoping we get more of their story one day cause there’s so much more I wanna know! If you’re looking for a small town, cowboy vibes, cozy romance read this is definitely a book for you!

This was my first book by this author, and it definitely won't be my last. Crash With Me was a quick, easy read that kept me turning the pages.

Crash With Me follows Clover and Beckett. After the company Clover works for experiences financial hardship, she moves back to her hometown for a fresh start. Things immediately take another turn when the place she's renting floods, leaving her stranded outside her best friend's house with no way to get in. That's when Beckett steps in. He rescues Clover from the situation and offers her a place to stay until she can figure out other arrangements. Little do they know, Mother Nature has other plans, leaving Clover, Beckett, and Beckett's daughter stranded together on the family farm.

One of my favorite parts of the story was Beckett's relationship with his daughter, as well as the bond that developed between Clover and his daughter. Clover naturally stepped into a positive female role in her life, and it was heartwarming to watch their relationship grow throughout the story.

I also loved the best friend's older brother trope. It's one of my favorite romance tropes and one I'll almost always pick up. What I appreciated most was that Clover and Beckett didn't try to hide their relationship the second time around. It showed how much they had matured and made their relationship feel more genuine.

The reason this wasn't quite a 4-star read for me is that I felt there was a huge missed opportunity with the forced proximity trope. I was expecting a slow-burn romance filled with tension and angst, but instead the relationship progressed very quickly. One moment Clover and Beckett are bickering, and the next they're suddenly together. I would have loved to see more emotional buildup and romantic tension before they became a couple.

Overall, I still enjoyed the story and found it to be a fun, fast read.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5/5 stars)

Thank you to the author and Luna Literary for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. I can't wait to continue with the Ashstone Ridge series!

When Clover turns back up in her hometown after over a decade to stay with her best friend after her life implodes, she ends up stranded because of a miscommunication on the dates. Her best friend sends her brother, Beckett, who also happens to be the last person Clover was hoping to run into. Without a place to stay, Clover ends up staying on Beckett’s ranch, TEMPORARILY, until a storm washes out the bridge that connects the ranch to the outside world. Left in their own little work, with Beckett’s adorable daughter, Clover starts playing house and falling for Beckett.

This small town/ranch romance is such a perfect quick read. Clover is the FMC I think we can all relate to. Life his handing her some giant lemons and she's trying her hardest to make lemonade. She’s a little chaotic, a little complicated, and in a self discovery loop that isn’t exactly comfortable. Beckett is the perfect grumpy cowboy. He hasn’t had it easy, and the ranch life isn’t easy, but he’s doing everything he can for his little girl, and damn if that isn’t swoon worthy. Lennon is easily my favorite character. This six year old firecracker is the whole show. Her cute little quips, her growing love for Clover, her dedication to taking care of Purrlock Holmes, and her telling on Clover and Beckett to the whole family when they thought she didn’t know was perfect.

This book truly had all the tropes that make me love a book: found family, second chance romance, forced proximity, and fast burn. No waiting for the spice on this one, it turns up very quickly (like 30% though) and it is SPICY! The tension of the whole book is palpable, but it made this one of my favorites for the year. I am looking forward to seeing what Atley Rion writes about next (please make it Brynn’s book)!

Thank you to Atley Rion and Luna Literary for letting me read an ARC of this book! All opinions are my own and I was not compensated to give them!

Crash With Me was such a cozy little palate cleanser and exactly the kind of small-town romance I love picking up between heavier reads.
This is one of those books that you can curl up with for an afternoon and finish with a smile on your face.
Clover returns home looking for a fresh start, only to find herself reconnecting with Beckett—the boy she grew up with, her best friend's brother, and now a single dad trying to balance life, work, and raising his daughter. Throw in a storm that leaves them stranded together and I was immediately invested.
What I loved most about this story was how comfortable everything felt. The connection between Clover and Beckett never felt forced. Their history gave the romance a natural foundation, and watching them find their way back to each other was sweet and heartfelt.
But let's be honest... Lennon completely stole the show. 🥹
Every scene with her had me smiling. She brought so much warmth to the story and added that extra emotional layer that makes single-parent romances so special. Watching the little family dynamic develop was easily my favorite part.
The ranch setting, small-town atmosphere, and forced proximity all worked so well together, creating a story that felt cozy, comforting, and easy to sink into.
My only wish? More pages. I would have loved an epilogue or a few extra chapters because I wasn't quite ready to leave these characters behind.
🤠 single dad
🖤 second chance romance
🤠 best friend's brother

🌵"No one knows that Beckett Hayes Hollis was my first love and my first heartbreak."

3.25⭐ 2.5🌶️

Clover comes back to the small town she grew up in after having some job troubles
Beckett is the one to pick her up after a series of unfortunate events and it quickly becomes clear that there’s a LOT of history between them
Clover is forced to stay at Beckett's house where she learns who Beckett is now and that their history together might not be over like she thought!

This story had all the elements that I love!!!!!
best friend's brother, single dad, cowboy, small town charm, they have history together

The story had me immersed and their chemistry was 🥵🔥 I was very very into Beckett & Clover's love story & their exploration with BDSM together and how they learned each other emotionally alongside that!

There sadly were just some plot points that didn't add up for me...
Lennon's mom coming back into the picture was one of them.
I was confused why Beckett never closed that chapter in his life? It made me lose some of the trust I had built in his character... and at times the banter also felt a little harsher than I *personally* enjoy, which occasionally made me question Clover’s emotional safety within the relationship??

One thing I really really loved though was Clover's love for his daughter! It just showed how empathetic Clover is and how she truly loves Beckett and his family! I'm so so happy they got their HEA in the end.
YOU BETTER TREAT HER RIGHT BECKETT!!

💕You will enjoy this if you are into:
+ best friend’s brother
+ single dad
+ small town
+ forced proximity
+ light BDSM

I look forward to reading more books by Atley Rion!!!

Crash with Me – Atley Rion

You guys, this was a new-to-me author, and I came across this book completely by accident. I read the blurb, saw single dad, and I was immediately sold. I am so happy I took a chance because I absolutely loved this book!

I loved both Clover and Beckett, but the most adorable and lovable character in the entire book was Lennon. She instantly stole my heart.

This is a second-chance romance, and you’re going to love the journey these two take. Watching Clover and Beckett find their way back to themselves—and each other—was both heartwarming and hilarious.

This book had everything I love in a romance. The author gave us all the small-town charm, a wonderful found family, and Beckett’s parents, who became Clover’s surrogate parents after she lost her own. We also get forced proximity thanks to a storm and burst pipes, a grumpy yet swoony single dad/cowboy, and a delightfully chaotic, messy, and incredibly funny heroine who is just trying to figure out where she belongs after life doesn’t go according to plan.

The chemistry between Clover and Beckett was fantastic, ranging from sweet and tender to absolutely scorching. Their banter had me laughing out loud, and their emotional connection felt genuine, making it impossible not to root for them. Once they finally stopped fighting their feelings, I was completely invested in their happily ever after.

This book was sweet, emotional, funny, romantic, and impossible not to love. I’ll definitely be looking for more books by Atley Rion, and I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves small-town romances, single dads, second chances, found family, and plenty of heart.

Crash With Me was written by Atley Rion. It is a standalone short read. Thank you to Luna Literary for introducing this author to me and giving me the opportunity to read this ARC. Since it was short, I was able to read it in one sitting. It is the perfect palate cleanser for anyone interested in reading a cowboy romance.

Beckett and Clover have know each other for most of their lives. Seriously, what is better than getting stranded in a storm with your best friend’s brother? I will tell you. It is getting stranded with him, his amazing little girl, and a fluffy orange cat! I was laughing out loud when she turned that backpack with a window to introduce Beckett to Purrlock Holmes. I knew instantly that I was going to enjoy this story!

Beckett was a little confusing at first. He was so wishy washy. One minute he is caring, supportive, and can’t get enough of Clover. In the next chapter he is shutting her out and keeping her at arm’s length. Since they have known each other so long everything seemed to happen so fast. I loved the relationship that Clover developed with Lennon. It was one of my favorite moments in the plot. Being stranded on the farm was good for all of them in the end. They all healed a small broken piece of themselves during that time. It was easy to picture.

Atley Rion is a new author to me and I am intrigued to see what else this author creates. It was evident that they know how to write something that makes people happy and feel something in between the pages. I wouldn’t mind visiting Clover and Beckett again, maybe even Brynn and her parents in another book.

3.75 out of 5 stars
I’m struggling with a star rating, because there is a lot to love about this book, but also a few things that threw me too.

I happened to get this book when I was flying cross-country, so I almost finished it in one sitting. I very quickly fell in love with Clover, Beckett, and Lennon. The three characters have great chemistry together. Lennon is the sassy child we all wish we had. While we were in the storm, it felt like the makings of a fun Hallmark movie - in the absolutely best way possible. This book reminded me that I am such a sucker for “forced proximity because of a storm.”

But then… we jumped straight into a spicy scene even though the two characters hadn’t seen each other in years. At first I thought it was a dream sequence, because it seemed so fast. The pacing, for me, was too fast and we didn’t get as much yearning or tension as I would have wanted. There were a lot of time jumps too and it would surprise me when I realized it (e.g., someone mentions that Clover has been there for months now). I also felt like we needed more development of the story behind Clover’s mom - why did she get a settlement?

Overall, this story has a lot of heart and joyful moments, but I think it would could have been improved by slowing down and taking out some of the auxiliary elements. If the novel had just focused on their time during the storm, I think it would have been even stronger.

I’m very grateful for the opportunity to read the ARC prior to publication.

Oh boy, where do I begin...

The idea of the book is not bad, a second chance with a single dad. Clover and Beckett had a short fling as teenagers and now she comes back home after 13 years and they get trapped together at his house, because of a storm.

Everything okay until it's not. This book is incredibly fast paced, which is not bad per se, but this one skipped months and we don't even know, it's just stated as a fact, as in, it's been ten month now that I'm at Becketts. Okay, cool.

So many thing and plot lines were left wide open and were never developed, like Clover's mom and the settlement or even the 'plot twists' in the epilogue that you could have seen from a mile. Some things just didn't make much sense.

If this book would be stripped of the whole Hannah thing and just focus on Clover and Beck it would have quite good. Something else I struggled a lot with, was the FMC and MMC connection, I mean they hate each other at the beginning, then we hit 30% mark and they hook up. Zero tension, zero building, zero yearning, nothing. They declare their love to each oter and two chapters later they are still freaking scared the other one is leaving.

This book was quite a mess and again, I'm sorry because it had huge potential, the characters are nice, the romance is okay, it needed to focus on them, making it a bit more tense in the romance department and remove the entire Hannah sub-plot

Thank you Luna Literary

Clover and Beckett
Absolutely loved this book! So it’s a best friend’s older brother single dad, in a way a second chance romance, found family and a cowboy type romance!
The mix just works.
Clover is a women on her own coming back to her home town after a bad luck streak, she is trying to get herself back together while staying at her besties house but plot twist she get locked out and her current situation isn’t owning out but her besties older brother comes to her rescue and it all starts happening.
Beckett is a single dad trying to figure it all out while maintaining his farm, he’s not been so fortunate in the slightest but he makes the best of it, he’s had a past love let her go hoping one day he might find that love again but he has his number one his daughter Lennon. One phone call later he has to rescue little sisters bestie and all of sudden everything changes.
The way these two have banter, hidden gazes, and all round hidden feeling from the past that resurface it’s so natural. These two are magnetic and they seem to not be able to pull apart and the best part is it’s natural the love that is being discovered again. This was cute, sweet, spicy, steamy, fun, funny and made for a great read.
⭐️5 star read loved it!
🌶️ 2.5 there was some steam and it was spicy.
💜 4 my own rating this was so heart felt, Lennon and clovers relationship was the sweetest.

✨Gifted ARC✨
I enjoyed this read and became invested in our characters and their stories quickly.

THOUGHTS 💭
💕 Oh, our poor FMC Clover! Things were certainly not going her way, but circumstances brought her back to her hometown where her life was going to change for the better. You could feel the anxiety of our down-on-her-luck FMC bleed off the page in the first few chapters!
💕 This book had me LOLing at the situations our FMC got into, her internal thoughts, the banter with her best friend Brynn, and her sassiness with her best friend’s brother, Beckett.
💕 I’m down for any forbidden romance, but there is a special place in my heart for best friend’s grumpy brother.
💕 Beckett has such a sweet, loving, protective relationship with his daughter, Lennon. This was a beautiful single dad story where we watched the MMC’s daughter fall just as hard for our FMC as the MMC did!
💕 Having been in each others’ lives for a long time, Clover and Beckett knew each other so well - their tells, the right buttons to push, and what they needed to feel safe.
💕 “It’ll fit.” 🫠
💕 This was a short book (approx. 200 pages) and I think it was a really good read! I would have liked to have seen the author add another 50 pages and wrap up some of the storylines that I felt weren’t fully wrapped up by the end of this read.

Thanks so much to Atley Rion and Luna Literary Management for the ARC of this book!

📖- Crash With Me by Atley Rion
Ok Atley Rion your writing had me hooked from the beginning I mean who doesn’t love a small town romance add in single dad and found family and I was addicted from the beginning.
I loved Clover life has been hard to her but she is still amazing I felt like I could identify with her I mean she is a little chaotic and messy and she is hilarious. I loved getting to watch her rediscover herself and her dreams and watching her heal while doing it.
Oh Daddy Beckett I mean who doesn’t want a man like him in your life you know if you need someone he will always be there for you and add in his protectiveness yea I need me a Beckett in real life Atley Rion please point me to one in real life!
He is an amazing girl dad. I loved him because instead of big gifts he offered himself and doing stuff for you himself and that is always attractive to me but I am more of a words of affirmation and acts of service kind of girlie.
The chemistry between these two is of the charts and the banter that they throw at each other will have you cracking up. This book is so much more than a romance book you get to watch healing and not just in the main characters life but their families and the found family this book reminded why I love the found family trope so much!

Thank you for the opportunity by Luna Literary for letting me read an early copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This was a tough one for me. 😬 It was going so well, and then around the 30% mark (chapters 12 and 13), we are already in the 👅 territory 💀no romance or buildup tension. He just references her cameltoe and goes 0-100 in the spicey spectrum. The MMC goes from disliking the FMC to making jumping her bones, and this is literally day one of them being under the same roof after he ditched her and broke her heart many years ago. At first, I thought it was a dream sequence 😅, but nope it was happening in real time.

The pacing overall felt incredibly fast, and I couldn't shake the feeling that a lot of the material wasn't fully developed. We have a second-chance romance 💔❤️ but not really. We have some BDSM elements 🖤, a single dad 👨‍👧, forced proximity/under one roof 🏠, and then the phrase "cool beans" gets dropped into the dialogue, which completely took me out of the story. 😂

What frustrated me most was that even at the 60% mark, the book was still introducing new themes and plotlines. 🤔 Instead of developing the existing conflicts and relationships, it felt like the story kept adding more pieces to an already crowded puzzle.

🏷️ Tropes:
• 💔 Second Chance Romance
• 🏠 Under One Roof / Forced Proximity
• 👨‍👧 Single Dad
• 🖤 BDSM Elements

I wanted to thank Luna Literary for this ARC
