This volume contains John Owen's exposition of Hebrews 1 - Hebrews 3:6. This edition contains an active table of contents and working footnotes. Some of the Hebrew and Greek characters have been rendered as as unprintable characters. Many of these characters have rendered properly. In spite of this shortcoming, I pray that this will be a helpful resource for you.
John Owen was an English theologian and "was without doubt not only the greatest theologian of the English Puritan movement but also one of the greatest European Reformed theologians of his day, and quite possibly possessed the finest theological mind that England ever produced" ("Owen, John", in Biographical Dictionary of Evangelicals, p. 494)
An avid John Owen reader should know that this project was started in 1668. There is development of theological distinctions even throughout the process of writing the Hebrews Commentary. With that being said, the most precious part of this commentary in my opinion is definitely his exegesis of Hebrews 1 in general.
