Only a selfish git would interrupt Dorian Devil’s salacious evening plans. Unfortunately, this is one call the Enchanter cannot let go to voicemail. He rushes to Venice, Italy, to save Rolf Kildare, only to find the nightmares have just begun. Saving the injured wolf from poisoned bullets is one thing, but saving all of the city’s paranormals is another. Hunters are gathering in Venice to party at Festivaali, ridding the ancient city of every paranormal inhabitant, and Dorian can’t let the genocide go unanswered, especially after he learns a powerful magic is involved. Unfortunately leaders are fighting each other… And Dorian… And everyone, because they’re afraid, instead of listening to the Enchanter with the magic and means to stop the genocide. The bloody fools will get them all killed. Calling on old allies and new acquaintances, Dorian races the countdown to save all those he can. But will it be enough or will the streets of Venice no longer be packed with tourists and instead be littered with dead bodies once the hunt begins?

An amazing and intriguing sequel

I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to see Dorian tackle hunters, and it was really interesting to learn what Festavaali is. I enjoyed meeting new characters and I’m curious as to when they’re going to be making a reappearance - if they do.

Dorian is the MMC and so is going to show up each time, but it seems each book changes who the main characters are and it’s interesting to see if we’ll meet them again. From Soraya’s books, I know that supernaturals go weeks and months (even years) without seeing each other and that’s normal, and since Dorian is roughly the same age (he’s definitely old anyway) then it makes sense he would adopt the same mentality.

As always this book provided more information about the world he lives in, and I adore the depth Flynn Eire goes to. I highly recommend this series, and I’m excited to see what’s next.

Absolutely wonderful!

This book took off from page one and just didn’t stop! If you want action packed shifter, magic, enchanters, vampires and elves, boy does this deliver!! Dorian is such a complicated character. There is more about him in this installment, which is perfect. We finally get a glimpse into his back story and why is he is the Enchanter.
Wonderful characters, amazing story line and fantastic world building. Highly recommended.

Great follow up book

I loved the first enchanter book, and this one was not a disappointment. I couldn’t put it down. Another city and another adventure. This time Dorian arrives to a wolf, but soon learns the entire city is in danger. Dorians past catches up with and he finally confronts it. Cannot wait to read the next installment.

Love Dorian!

I am truly enjoying this series. Dorian has had to deal with so much pain in his life, but he is still an amazing soul. Maybe with Mikas it is the beginning of a not so lonely existence. Can’t wait to be able to read the next book!

I LOVED Dorian! Definitely one of my top three favorite MCs of this author (and all her pen names). He has such a tough exterior, especially in the first book, but then you get to see his gooey interior. He's such a softie.

The rest of the characters are well thought-out and the plot is amazing; fast-paced, but not in your face.

Great series and I would love to read more.

Flynn Eire never disappoints!

No matter the genre I always enjoy Flynn Eire's books. Always a good balance of action and spice without going overboard with the everything being catastrophic. Check out her books under the name Erin Flynn.

good read - better than the first

I liked this book much more than the first in the series. It had more depth; we learned more about the main characters history. I also liked that there isn't one character who is always in a "poor me" state of mind like in some of the author's other series.

We finally get the inside scoop on Dorian Devil. Who he is, why he is the way he is. Thank God for Mikas. He is the only one who will ultimately open Dorian up and make him see that he can't go alone for the rest of his days. That he is a hero, whether he likes it or not. I can't wait to see what happens next with him and Dorian and what is up next for Dorian.
