Do you love a good horror story? A Night Amongst The Gravestones will make your heart race and your skin crawl.
Brothers Vance and Lloyd, had never been close and despite the fact that they were identical twins, couldn’t be more different
One night, after accepting a dare, they spend the night at the local cemetery with their cousin and her friend. But something is lurking amongst the gravestones and the teenagers soon find themselves face to face with something so unimaginably horrible, it is unlike anything from any movie or book ever seen.
After one of them is taken, the others must try to save them, finding themselves in a much deeper mire of horror than they’d ever conjured up in their worst nightmares.
This short yet gripping story will keep you hooked on every page and just as you think it’s finished, you’re torn away into an ending you NEVER expected! You won’t want to go outside in the dark after reading this one.
After receiving a free read and review copy of behind blue eyes by Helen Deakin I just had to get this on too. It was a really great little short story that I read all in one go last night... in the dark. I found it to be really well written and really creepy. With it being set in a cemetery I was kind of expecting a cliché story (even though judging by Helens other book it would have to be good) but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was actually quite unique and the ending??? That was great! If you could guess that even right at the finish of the book you deserve a medal. All round a great nighttime read!!!
I graciously received a copy of this short ebook from the author in exchange for a review. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to review this story! Creepy, gripping, and definitely unputdownable at about 30 pages...I was able to read in just 1 evening. I love the idea of any kind of story being set in a graveyard....immediately creeps me out! And the ending!! This one was out of the park for me Helen!! Thanks again!!
Some teenagers are out for a night of creepy dare at the cemetery, telling the obligatory ghost stories and playing scary tricks to each other. But when one of them is taken by a creepy demon creature, the fun turns into deadly earnest. Will they be able to rescue their friend, and most of all, stay alive themselves? A solid and well-written ghost story with all the necessary creepy ingredients.

This is my favourite one of all I think. I don't normally read a lot of YA but this was great! The characters were so real. They reminded me of my friends and me as kids (except we hung out at parks, not graveyards... eeeek).
Another story you might want to read during the day, not home alone on a windy night like I did hahaha. It was super spooky and the action kept going and I'm not sure how she does it by Helen pulls off yet another unbelievably surprising twist at the end.
I'm not sure why there haven't been any more books from this author for a while but I am dying for more!!! I can't wait to see what comes next. 10 stars!!!!
A Night Amongst The Gravestones although short is a great quirky read. Who hasn't been near a graveyard and thought about things hiding waiting to grab the next unsuspecting person. Twists and turns you didn't see coming and an unusual ending. It could even be expanded to a great series. Maybe even a great story to share with teens to make them think twice about having that beer and hiding out amongst the grave stones

From the book description, I thought this would be a horror read. I thought it'd be full of suspense and terror, but the story wasn't scary at all (not even a little). The author did a good job of showing the group dynamics between the two girls and two boys. The twin boys were definitely different, which I liked.
