Never agree to anything when drunk! When washed-up paparazzo Darren Freshman is tasked with taking a photo of Mary Dennison – the pregnant and rather promiscuous wife of a feared Brighton gangster – it should be easiest £500 he’s earned for quite some time. At least, that’s what his inebriated mind tells him. However, when the ensuing photo indirectly leads to a brutal murder, Darren suddenly finds himself thrust into the unwanted roll of private detective alongside his crime-fiction obsessed drinking buddy, Kev. It’s not long before the bumbling, booze-soaked, less-than-dynamic-duo are drawn into a tangled web of blackmail, crooked cops, and dangerous secrets. Stumbling through suspects and half-baked theories, the case forces Darren to confront just how far ambition – and desperation – can go.
