The Mountain Lodge: An Audible Bedtime Story

Rate this book
Audible's Bedtime Stories are designed to let you drift off with no nagging feeling that you need to listen through to the end. Their purpose is to let you slowly fall into peaceful, restful sleep.

Escape to a secluded mountain lodge, where the world is wrapped in quiet stillness and time moves unhurriedly. As fresh snow blankets the valley, the innkeeper tends to the lodge’s simple rhythms—stoking the fire, preparing warm meals, and watching the untouched wilderness shift from dawn to dusk. Wrapped in the glow of the hearth and the crisp mountain air, this is a place where silence lingers, and each moment is meant to be savored.

Not looking for plot in a bedtime story. Narration pacing is everything. Cobie Smulders has a pleasant voice, but she pauses between sentences frequently. When she then stars speaking again, it wakes me up.

I recommend you lay in bed with the lights turned off. Cozy and calming before bed

I have been utilizing these “sleep” podcasts to train my brain and get away from melatonin l. I definitely think Katherine Nicolai does a much better job of it.
