Three sexy snippets from the world of Guya written with Baker's originality and verve. The exotic and the erotic are are a masterful backdrop to these stories. Guya is a world of sand dunes and tents, of wandering nomads and open seas. But most of all Guya is a hedonist's paradise, a dreamscape of beautiful, willing men bursting with desert desire and sand dunes built for lust.

1. In An Eye on the Turquoise, a buyer from Tsantsibon meets bodyguard, Gader, at Inian's jewellery sale. Their attraction is immediate, their affair a sensual feast. Which reminds me, I won't be looking at peaches the same way any more. And quite possibly sand dunes. But as short stories go this is a corker. Spicier than a Merguez Sausage, more romantic that a desert dark sky, and neater than a fresh Thobe. If you like your on page sex raw, visceral and satisfying, this is for you.

2. Now imagine you're as invisible as a spider living above a man's bed, a man that you're attracted to, a man that you can physically arouse while he sleeps, a man you're determined to poison with lust until he notices and wants you. That's Spidersilk, a tale that weaves somnophilia and olfactophilia into a story so original you'd wish you had written it first. My verdict: a definite one handed read if you like your mm romance edgier and laced with kink.

3. Forever in the Pearl Garden is less exotic erotic and more of a practical spicy tale of a man on the run who takes a pseodnym, Tiyello, so he can sail to Bayehren. When he arrives he ends up being persuaded to buy the Pearl Garden, a sex haven full of handsome men available for service. And, boy, do they know how to service!

As a business the Pearl Garden is in decline. Tiyello restores it to a new level of debauchery and glory but just as the business is getting established Tiyello's past catches up with him. Loved the twist at the end!

So there you have it. Three short stories offering three different flavours from the world of Guya. I think you can tell which is my favourite. I wonder which yours will be.
