When Wade Parks bulldozed his way into my life the impact he made was substantial. I fell under the intensity of his spell and found something I couldn’t deny. Yes his looks were flawless, his bedroom skills perfection. And yes he was so relentless I wanted to strangle him on numerous occasions. But he wanted me. He fought for me. He started breaking down my walls with patience, persuasion and undeniable passion. Parks made me feel like I belonged in the safety of his arms after a lifetime of feeling lost.
However, he couldn’t deal with my past revelations. His actions proving as much. They also proved that this extremely controlled and highly disciplined man was hiding a tortured soul.
Can two broken souls ever make one perfect whole? I didn’t think so.
Pushing people away seems to be my speciality and now I’m completely alone with only myself to blame. Was I ever going to get off the ride from hell?
My mind is telling me to forget him. My cold heart telling me it isn’t that easy.

5 still here with a broken heart *sniffs* STARS
No quote in the history of time has ever been more accurate. Holy shit. They can't function with each other and are even more incapable to live when they are alone. A truly fucked up couple with so many issues, you could stack them up and could easily reach to the moon. I freaking love it!
Addicted to Mr Parks is the second instalment in Lilly James' Parks Series. I think most of you know how much I loved the Denying Mr Parks and I was over the moon when Lilly asked me to review the second book as well. RL and a little vacation distracted me a little but I finally finished it and what a ride.
It's sexy, it's heart breaking, sometimes makes you sick to your stomach and more often than not horny as hell. Most of the time it happens all at once. Suffice it to say, I'm a bit exhausted as a result. ;P
Addicted to Mr Parks picks up right where the last book ended. Wade has left Evey and Steph, her best friend has kicked her out of their flat. With no other option left she has to go to her parents until she can figure something else out.
To say Evey hits rock bottom is the biggest understatement ever made. She is right back where she never wanted to be again. , no friends and her parents couldn't care less what she did. It's frustrating and it broke my heart to read. Evey is caught in this downward spiral and she doesn't seem to have any fight left. But what got to me the most was that she still didn't really register that she has a problem. She still thinks that she could stop if she wanted to.
I guess it's pretty obvious that at some point Mr Parks gets his head out of his ass and gets involved in the situation Evey has trapped herself in. What follows is a lot of push and pull, insanely hot sex, secrets and issues as far as the eye can see.
'Cause dear Evelyn isn't the only one who needs fixing.
Pfffft. Yeah. Right.
All the characters do the best with the coping mechanisms they have and deal with the situations one step at a time, but falling back into the 'relationship', depending on each other like Evey and Wade do, as well as trying to cure everything with sex doesn't seem to be the best way to solve this cluster fuck. *shrugs* Not even sure how else they should have done it. After all this slightly messed up relationship and their less than smart decisions are only human.
The one thing that really got on my nerves was the Tabby story line. Evey has sub par personality radar and smells bullshit from ten miles away. I'm not buying her naive trust. Sorry, but no.
All things considered everything that made me want to scream and throw my kindle against the wall just made it all much more enjoyable to read and the emotional roller coaster that much more rewarding. But please, can we get some Wade POV in the next book?!
Just like before I really like the writing. It sucks you in and makes you feel all the ups and down Evey and Wade go through. Just one little thing...some editing is needed, but less than with the last book.
Now I'm just desperately waiting for the last book. Fingers crossed for my HEA. Because Ms. James we really need to have a talk about those cliffies! I feel like déjà vu all over again. The last chapter gutted me...

Omg this book was had me in tears nearly al the way through
The story carried on from the first book which I totally luvd an I was dying 4 this book but God did it have my emotion al over the place from start 4 finish the first 10% had my so upset 4 Evey I just wanted someone 2 look after her she just needed help after everyone leaving her an giving her shit I know she had turn back 2 drink but she was dealin with so shit don't get me wrong she shouldn't of but I do understand her relationship with parks had turn her life upside down an she could cope then Evey was dealing with her mum an al the memories came rushes back 2 her what she did 2 her her mum is a first class bitch I just hate her so is just so horrible if I was Evey I would of washed me hand of her
I found wade a lil hard 2 deal with in this book his possessive behaviour was even worse in this book we seen it in the first book but this book showed a totally different side i knew he just wanted 2 look after Evey an I know she was hard 2 deal with an the both pissed my off in parts fightin with each other
I do think they r so made 4 each other I luv the way they r 2gether an sexual they r smokin hot there sexy time is so good there's is nithin they won't do they r both just fightin some much that it's hard 2 be there 4 each other but when things r goin good they go really good it is hard not 2 luv wade parks but God his he a hot frustrating man an a man in a suit just does something 2 me
I was so gutted when this book finished I wanted so many questions answered I did find out a lil piece 2 the puzzle but I needed more at the end which totally had me in bits how could he do that 2 her it was so heartbreakin an wanted 2 know more about this tabby girl really not likin her there is something that's just not rite it's goin 2 kill me 2 wait 4 the next book
Overall really enjoyed it so much goin on but not 2 much where my brain couldn't take it I did like that we got more of the other characters an the story was just as strong as the first really good read dying 4 more xxx

Re read
Reading this book again the second time was just amazing as the first I luvd the whole book even more then the first time my heart was broken al over again at the end and it just got me even more excited for the last book Lost In Mr Parks

Caught in a downward spiral, with book 2 picking up right where book 1 ended. Mr. Parks has left Evelyn and she is also out on her own. She reverts to her old ways, being drunk and having this high and mighty attitude, where she feels everyone owes her something. Why oh why, Evey can't see her own mistakes, is beyond my own comprehension. Evey's own fears are what keeps her world collapsing in on itself.
I still hated Evey's behaviour in this instalment as I did in book 1. I just couldn't understand that darn attitude. It simply stunk for me.
Now Parks, decides to show his gorgeous head. He realizes that he cannot function without Evelyn. Thus leading him to come to terms with her addiction, and he is more than willing to help her fight the cycle of addiction.
“When I left you it was like walking out of heaven and straight back into hell again. I thought staying away would be the appropriate option for both of us. But now I see that staying away from you isn’t going to work.”
I absolutely loved the amped up possessive behaviour displayed by Wade. Nothing gets me hot and bothered like a man who knows what he wants and is more than determined to take any necessary route to obtain the end result.
“You are my Princess and when I say I love you, I mean I fucking LOVE you. I want to take care of you forever. Let me.”
It was noticeable, to me at least, that in fighting the addiction of drugs, her rebound drug of choice was Wade. The pull was so strong, that she couldn't function without him. Like he was her lifeline. While, Wade is aiding Evelyn with her own demons, we see Wade struggling daily to keep his own demons at bay. They both drew strength from the other. Yin and Yang. Staying away wasn't an option anymore. Fighting together, even though more emotional that ever, was the only way they both could survive. They were every representative of the Yin and Yang.

The chemistry is enthralling and the sex, mind blowing, and the emotions are running rampant. Will these two survive, when all the demons are laid bare.
“The things that are worth fighting for are never easy, but that doesn't mean we give up.”

My Wade -
This installment picks up with Eve trying to pick up the pieces from her world collapsing around her. She is left resorting to asking for help from her parents and that alone is a statement in and of itself. Fear continues to plague her and it isn’t put to rest by coming face to face with her mother and the neverending addiction cycle that is her world. The cycle of addiction is brought to the front and Eve struggles with all that is her to break free, but alcohol continues to numb her fears. That is until Wade makes it know that he doesn’t want to be without her…..
“When I left you it was like walking out of heaven and straight back into hell again. I thought staying away would be the appropriate option for both of us. But now I see that staying away from you isn’t going to work.”
Wade makes his feelings know that he is the protector and will do anything to keep her safe and break the addiction cycle. Little hints are dropped about why Parks dominates his personal and professional life, but it isn’t until the end that the truth if finally revealed. With each passing day Eve is able to find her safe place in Wade and they each fall harder for one another. It is apparent that her prior addiction is being replaced by her constant need to be around The Wade Parks.
The chemistry between this two is off the charts and you may need to relieve some stress after certain sexual adventures. The best part is we get to experience the changes that are present in Wade, as his feelings for Eve get stronger and his possessiveness reaches an all-time high. Hold you drawers ladies as watching The Hulk come out in full force will make the all wet!! Oh I forgot about how well skilled and hung the man is in the bedroom.
“How big is his dick? Tell me pacific’s.” “It’s specifics, Steph. And oh, he’s big. Really big.” “Like sore pussy big?”
The change we see in Eve is inspiring and with each passing day you see her inner strength blossom. With the strength you see he wanting to be able to help Wade with his own inner demons that surface at random moments. The challenge becomes that Wade feels he is the only one that needs to be strong and that it is his duty to be there for Eve not the opposite. A relationship needs to be a true balance between the two parties and without this balance it will always be tipped in an unequal direction. Eve knows this is the only way for them both to move forward and build on the relationship they both want. As when it was Eve’s time to face her past you know it isn’t going to be an easy journey, but so worth the struggle. Wade has been strong for so long, but his past shelters him from opening up and moving forward towards the unknown.
The biggest question is will Eve ever be able to return the favor for the one man that has changed her world for the unthinkable………..a real future?
I so need the final installment of this trilogy, as Wade you have captured my heart!!

Of course I'm going to give it five stars. :P
Addicted to Mr Parks is another emotional roller coaster ride but for completely different reasons.
Whilst writing this I cried more than I ever did in the first book as I watched my characters struggle to come out of the darkness and into a life of light.
That's all I'm going to say.

This book had me in tears. Numerous times I had to step away from my kindle just to take a breather. After reading the first book I felt invested in Wade and Evey and couldn't wait for this book. Just like the first it blew me away and I loved and hated hearing about Evey's struggles. I loved it because it gave us more insight to the life of this crazy woman, and hated it because god was it emotional. After reading this one I LOVE Evey and I love that she is changing for the better. I also fell in love with Wade and Eveys relationship. Their banter is hysterical and god, is their sex HOT. Now for Wade. Oh what can I say about Mr Parks. He stole my heart, I fell for him big time. We get to know Mr Parks a lot more throughout the book, and his past with women and his father shocked me! By the end my heart was in my mouth and it left me numb. Again! I love Lilly James's writing. It maybe because I'm British and I get the lingo and humour, but it just feels real to me.
Okay now I'm rambling on.

And the past may finally have the upper hand in destroying the relationship between these two struggling individuals. I was a mess at the end and now have to figure out how to cope with waiting for book 3.

This book is the second in this series and picks up where the last one ended. It was heart breaking to watch Evelyn fall further into the abyss.

Anyway, nothing can go right for Evelyn, or so it seems, and the people in Wade's life are trying all they can to get rid of her.

With each passing day Eve is able to find her safe place in Wade and they each fall harder for one another. It is apparent that her prior addiction is being replaced by her constant need to be around The Wade Parks.
The chemistry between this two is off the charts and you may need to relieve some stress after certain sexual adventures. The best part is we get to experience the changes that are present in Wade, as his feelings for Eve get stronger and his possessiveness reaches an all-time high. Hold you drawers ladies as watching The Hulk come out in full force will make the all wet!! Oh I forgot about how well skilled and hung the man is in the bedroom.

The change we see in Eve is inspiring and with each passing day you see her inner strength blossom. With the strength you see he wanting to be able to help Wade with his own inner demons that surface at random moments. The challenge becomes that Wade feels he is the only one that needs to be strong and that it is his duty to be there for Eve not the opposite. A relationship needs to be a true balance between the two parties and without this balance it will always be tipped in an unequal direction. Eve knows this is the only way for them both to move forward and build on the relationship they both want. As when it was Eve’s time to face her past you know it isn’t going to be an easy journey, but so worth the struggle. Wade has been strong for so long, but his past shelters him from opening up and moving forward towards the unknown.
The biggest question is will Eve ever be able to return the favor for the one man that has changed her world for the unthinkable………..a real future?

I am broken! Lilly BROKE me!!
I am absolutely floored by the depth of feelings I was left with when I finished Addicted to Mr Parks and as the title suggests I am completely addicted to Mr Wade Parks!
Lilly has done such an outstanding job writing this book and capturing the raw emotion and feeling written on the pages. She made it possible for me, as a reader, to connect with her characters and feel every last ounce of emotion she has written. This book is so powerful. it really moved me and actually opened my eyes to the sensitive issue of alcoholism, being a recovering alcoholic and the struggles that involves.
Evey is such an amazingly strong, sassy, stubborn woman and even in her weakest moments, where life is at its lowest and feels like it isn't going to get any better, she still has strength. Her story by itself is one that will touch any reader, you feel immense empathy for her and want to protect her and be her friend. She finds her solace in Wade and he becomes her hope. Hope to get better and her hope for the future. Wade is hot as hell and I do mean HOT as HELL! Sexy, dominating and powerful, he is a force to be reckoned with in and out of the bedroom. The chemistry between the two of them literally oozes of the pages and I dare any one to read this book/series and not feel flustered by the absolutely smouldering scenes Lilly writes between Evey and Wade.
Their story isn't smooth sailing and it certainly isn't all rainbows and sunshine but that's where the magic is I think. It's real, it's gritty and it's intense and that's what pulls you in to the story and holds you prisoner. It makes the emotions real and palpable. It makes you want to believe in their story like it's your own. Lilly has truly magic fingers and in my opinion has created a masterpiece that should be enjoyed by all. Her writing for me is honest and at times brutal but absolutely brilliant. The Park Series and Lilly are certainly up there on my list of go to books and authors and I couldn't rate Lilly or her books highly enough!
Roll on book #3 on March 1st, I need me some more of these delicious characters and their story.

Wade...Why!!!
This book was so OMG Wade is Evey's Home
She needs him...She's addicted to him!!!
Wade needs to stop berating himself...he says that he loves Evey!! Well Damn it...show it!!
He needs to stop seeing himself as a disease but a cure. He has dealt with an alcoholic before so he knows the triggers..the dos and donts.
He needs to see his father as the devil and not a shadow of himself... Wade ... while reading this book I am thinking please don't break her heart because Evey needs you...you make her stop think about drinking and bring hr solace even though there is so much crazy in her life.
The both of them has a messed up childhood..that's what makes it so fucking awesome
I am always one preaching about being independent but the for the love of God...Evelyn needs Wade or should I say Parks...I am being disobedient...PUNISH ME!!!
Evey was so happy being with Wade...again he was her home...her safety!!!
Is it me because I don't trust that tabby as far as I can throw which is not far....Evey this is your inner voice telling that it is not your paranoia...trust your instincts!!!
I don't think I could survive that heartbreak much less forgive him again!!! I know it seems heartless but I don't think can risk shattering my heart in a million pieces again and again and again.
Question...why is his twin sister such a bitch and I stress again his twin...knowing how her brother sheltered them from their father' abuse but I am putting my foot in mouth because we still don't know everything about the infamous Mr. Wade Parks..he is still so mysterious!!!! The second book in the series starts at an all time low in Evey’s life, as she constantly battles with her addictive personality and lack of self worth. Wade redeems himself as this story progresses. Seen through Evey’s eyes he is her salvation but his many hidden secrets make you doubt whether this true. More secrets from Evey’s past are menacing and make this story suspenseful.
Erotic love scenes define this story and they become increasingly darker as Evey’s dependency on Wades grows.
Particularly noteworthy is Evey meeting Wade’s family and associates. Deep secrets revealed, illuminate Wade’s actions but do they excuse his behaviour? He shares more with Evey than expected but as his walls tumble down his emotional instability threatens their future. Another poignant ending makes reading the final book in this series a must.

Parks found out what Evelyn secret was and was not happy about it. This put Evelyn at rock bottom. It’s sad how far down this put Evey. Stephanie, could not deal with Evey at this point. Something had to be done about Evey. The part that stood out the most to me was, how much she did to get him out of her mind. Evey and Parks were like two teenagers. The way they lust over each other. They can just look at each other and feel the chemistry. This book will certainly make you want to have a man around quite often. I love the way Parks tried to treat Evey, it’s every girl’s dream. As I have been reading these books, I really like the two main characters. They have such demons and don't want anybody to know about them. Thinking they can cope with it on their own. Then it hits them right in the face! They needed each other. There is some suspense and a little bit of violence to show Parks hulk side. Which just made me want Parks from my own. They grew so close to each other, I actually laughed at some of the silliness they did. That is the part that drew me in, is how much they needed each other to get through the day. When Parks took her home, is my favorite part of the book. Parks, took care of Evey, and helped Evey get better. Now her addiction was him. I got to meet Parks family in this book. His is just as messed up as Evey’s. Clinton, Parks father, was the evil one in his family. Harriet, the mother was the coward. Jasmine, the twin sister was the witch. Carla was gone, which I laughed about. Stephanie and her news was a good twist in the book also. The end really had me fighting back the tears. Parks, shocked me at this point.

As we continue this crazy journey with Evey and Wade, you will find yourself again in another wild ride but his time it will show you how this two broken souls are hurting for one another but they don't know how to handle it.
I cant believe how much I cried in just the beginning of the story. I totally was not expecting to be that emotional when I first open the book. All the way through the book I had to keep grabbing tissues.
I don't know how many times I had to put my kindle down so I could collect myself before starting again. I really wanted to yell at someone to help Evey. Even just a little.By the end I was so glad that she finally started to get back to herself.
It blows me away knowing a book will make you feel every single emotion the characters are facing. Yet this book will make you ugly cry and that is what a good book is all about.
I can not wait until book 3. If you haven't met Mr. Wade Parks you are missing one heck of an Alpha male.

Evey and Wade are perfect for each other, if they don't destroy each other first. Both have their demons to face and while we know most of what haunts Evey, Wade is still very much a mystery. More of his past will come to light in this second installment, but his secrecy and attempts to keep Evey in the dark only serves to make things more strained.
But just as they start making progress, it seems more and more drama comes out to foil their plans for a happy future.
I'm still very much in love with these broken characters. This story is so engrossing that once you start reading, you don't want to put it down. There's plenty of drama, love, lust, betrayal, and an element of danger in this book that will leave you begging for more. And it's sooooo steamy too. These two are so explosive even your kindle will blush.

Where the first book in this series dragged a little for me, this book picked up pace and made for a fantastic read. These Alpha billionaire/poor-girl trilogies are normally very much 'Pretty Woman' fairytales. But I found this to be more realistic than most in that the main characters were always having to fight hard to be heard and recognised. Evey was always threatening to leave, but in essence I think she really just wanted Wade to fight for her, to have someone in her corner. She suffered horribly from 'foot-in-mouth' disease, some of the stuff that came out of her mouth was hilarious - upon meeting and greeting someone for the first time: "And wow, your lips are huge." Nothing like subtlety for this girl!
I loved Wade, loved how his entire being revolved around making his Princess happy.
Everyone needs a boss like Clarke ('my girl'), he had the patience and empathy of a saint.

This book picks up where the first one ends and it is possibly even more powerful than the first. Evie has lost everything due to her lies and drinking. Her friendships, her job and her relationship with Mr Parks is over and Evie is having to come to terms with her addictions and the mess that she has made. There were times that I just wanted to hug her and times when I wanted to shake her. Mr Parks is still dominate, possessive man but he has secrets of his own and even though he wants to help Evie it is hard for him to let go of his own issues. This story grabs your heart and makes you root for Evie and Wade but sometimes they are their own worst enemies. It kept me torn between wanting them together and thinking they were just toxic for each other. This was an incredible story and I look forward to seeing where it leads.

This book started off great. It kinda fizzled in the middle a bit but boy did it take off at the end. The ending is a doozy. Big cliff hanger. While reading this book it made me think of Fifty Shades of Grey but with more personal issues. Both leading man and lady have personal issues. You see Evey's issues throughout the book. And it just starts coming out for Parks at the end. There's still things that happened in this book that weren't even addressed so I'm sure they will be in the next book. I enjoyed the characters and really enjoyed Evey's attitude she would pull with everybody. You could tell there was so much Parks would hiding from her. There where a couple times I was like why don't you just storm out and leave?? Lol I would recommend this book to anybody that enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey.

I read book one and fell in love with sassy Evey and swoon worthy Parks and couldn't wait to start book 2 and continue their story. This series has lots to offer. Hot love scenes, sensitive and important issues and a love story that keeps you hooked. The author draws you in and the story flows effortlessly. Combine that with lots of twists and turns in the plot, and it's the perfect combination. Already started the third and final book, can't wait to find out what happens in the end. Thoroughly recommend.

Picking up right where book 1 ends. Evelyn is back to her dark place she has pushed all she has achieved and wants away. But even though she needs help sometimes things arise that will limit the steps you take forward to try and shove away your demons. This book hits on a lot of emotions and is a roller coaster of ride for the reader, Evelyn and Mr Parks.If like me you rally got along with book one then you need to read this second book to see where the story goes.

This one was good too but this relationship is such a wack job. I still want to read the next book because it is real good but their relationship is so frustrating that it's annoying at times but it keep me sucked in and I read it in a day.

Thank god I started this series whilst all 3 books are available because I would be bloody mad having to wait for the next one !
