Rate this book

Beautifully drawn, this web comic is a work of art, a masterpiece of you will. The plot, while not necessarily complex, isn't easy to follow. I think because of that lack of clarity, some readers may find it frustrating to follow at first. However, by the end, everything makes sense. The characters and story lines are all connected, and it is only by reaching the end that the reader receives clarity.

The plot for each story line revolves around love, its many different forms, its cost, the connections it can make, and the dangers of false love. I think the one word that describes this comic is... bittersweet. And reflecting upon it, you realize the cost of love can be so great but so can the joy it brings.

Well rip out my heart and serve it on a cold platter why don’t you?

Seriously, this book relentlessly made me sob. It’s a beautiful and powerful tale of how ideals can become ingrained into people and how there will always be a “witch” or villainess needed for a story to come to it’s final fruition. I cannot stress enough the fact that you need to go pick this book up and read it for yourself. I’m really hoping for a vol. 2!

I love the immortality concept and how it's a beautiful yet heartbreaking story at the same time. I love the art and the difficult romance between characters, my eyes was kinda watery after thinking about the story.

.But the story follows the love story of several witches and even one of their familiar. Some of them are heartbreaking and very sad but others are cute and adorable. The main love story at the beginning is of Phillipa and Collin. Phillipa is a witch and loves human more then anything which her other witch friends finds weird. Collin is a one arm human boy. At the beginning we are introduced to Cordelia which seems like a unfortunate child that is getting bullied by the other villagers and Phillipa was also bullying her then Phillipa stabbed Collin one day and she revealed herself as a witch and they killed her. After that we see that Phillipa and Cordelia actually knows each other and are witch and they did that to help Cordelia get together with this guy she likes in the village. After that the still alive and immortal Phillipa is leaving the village to travel and Collin follows her and they journey together and they fall in love slowly. Its also adorable how Phillipa has a familiar (pets that witches have) which is a cat and called Lili and she can transform to look kind of like a human and Phillipa and Collin are kind of like her parents and its adorable!. But then one day as they are walking Collin gets killed. We see that many time have passed and the heartbroken and immortal Phillipa is still in the same village and then she turns around and see Collin in a different body. Collin is reborn again and again in different bodies each time and reunite with Phillipa. One day Collin was hanged by the human when he was blamed for doing something corrupted and Phillipa was angry and she killed them all. Fast forward Phillipa and Lili moved dimension to another place hoping to not meet Collin again. Phillipa is heartbroken and in pain seeing her loved one die over and over and having to wait for him for so long. She became a demon lord in that world and killed a few of those villagers. Phillipa was tired and when she and Colin reunited even in another dimension she asked Collin to kill her. Collin does after much begging from her. Collin was then known as the hero who saved them from the demon lord. I was also so sad during the Lili arc she was so heartbroken from losing both of her parental figure. (This is only the Phillipa and Collin story but there are more + cute lesbian 😍 but I wont spoil ❤) Really recommend even if this was so saddd (also at the end they do reunite! and Lili starts a family with 4 hybrid cat and human kids!)

I didn't finish Witch of Mine. The story was a bit cliché but not to the point of being unreadable. However, the entire narrative is based upon a romance I saw coming but didn't quite believe. The characters were interesting, if not very complicated, and the reincarnation angle was nice. However, I didn't find myself invested in the main relationship. It seemed to come on too quickly (especially since she was essentially his mother figure for years), and readers were not given enough time with them as lovers in the first life. With a little more time dedicated to that first romance, I could have been more invested.

This is a masterpiece. I loved the way the different stories were structured and completed into one full picture. Every time a new character appeared and I read their story, and I felt like I was actually there. I've actually read this two times. The art and plot are amazing, and it's great if you want to shed some tears. By far, my favorite character is Lily. She's the one that I most understand because she thought she was being abandoned. Most of all, I love the various representations of love in this story pictured through fantasy.

I’m disappointed in this book... It really confused me and I couldn’t get what was going on for 90% of the time. I couldn’t even read it chapter by chapter...
I just skipped to the end and that was it. I’ll mark it as a dnf probably.

I honestly thought it had promise from the beginning since one of the characters had a disability and redhead seemed like a pretty likeable witch but I felt the story dragged on and the art was rather "meh"....

Absolutely phenomenal, the theme of love and loss and time are all executed with incredible precision, if I had to summarize the entire manhwa its a story about different types of love, that all parallel and contrast each other, each one is unique. Some loves are tragic, some beautiful, some cute, some aesthetic, some traumatic, and yet? They are all unified into the human experience .

Collin is a young boy who’s missing an arm and in the village he lives, people are bullying and calling names to a pretty young woman named Cordelia. At first glance, she’s been nothing but kind so, he defends her ‘cause he was the one being picked on before she arrived there.

But later he realizes Philippa, the one being the most annoying of them all, is the real witch. This manhwa resembles the same tale of the red and blue demon, so in reality, Philippa is the kind, joyful witch who just wants to help her little sister, Cordelia, even if that means being persecuted by others.

Collin, who doesn’t quite have a home there, follows Philippa and in the new town, he works as a craftsman. They’re acting as mother and son, along with her familiar, at least until he grows up and later he confesses his true love for her. Which kind of brings a curse upon him: no matter how many times he dies, they will always find each other, maybe through a millennium, in different places, by different names and genres. But one thing remains: Collin will always fall in love with her, and will stay by her side.

Now I don’t want to say any more spoilers but I think the second part of the volume was far more dark and emotional than I would have thought so. I cannot even fathom to see the person I love getting killed over and over again. I’d get tired too and I’d wanted them to be happy even if it meant being apart from each other.

I think the big question in this manhwa is how far will you go for love? Would you be able to sacrifice it all? For me it’s an interesting topic ‘cause Collin’s love for Philippa was present all the time –and she loved him so much too. Sometimes love is hard to understand but it’s the only thing that keep us alive. Anyway, the art is quite beautiful too, so I’ll gladly continue with the series.

At the beginning, I thought this was going to be a story about hatred and bullying the different. But the tone changed abruptly and it became a strange, sad story about love and loss between an immortal witch and a human boy.

After the first loss, the story progressed in a fast pace through centuries, and the witch and the boy meet again and again. It’s not explained how the human always comes back, but it wasn’t really important anyway. There’s going to be another volume, but I don’t think it’s necessary. The ending is fine as it is, leaving room for imagining a happy ending for the two. However, maybe this volume could’ve gone slower and lingered more on the details of their story instead of hurrying on, to really show the love and make the reader believe in it, instead of telling the reader the love exists.

Illustrations were full-colour, well-drawn and beautiful. Witches were all well-endowed, the reason they were hated most of the time, but I think it’s allowed in manga. Other characters were more realistic. There’s no explicit content.

This manhwa is good as this tells about a group of witches and how they are able to socialize and fell in love with humans. At the beginning, we see how Cordelia was being ostracized by the townspeople and we have a thought that the story will revolves around her. But then things turn around suddenly when it was Philippa who is a real witch and how the story then continued about how her life came to be when she started living alone with Lilly and Colin. I admit that I love the love stories between the witches and their love interests, though I admit that I was confused with the progress of this manhwa because it keeps on overlapping. I enjoyed knowing about the stories of the other characters, but it was executed poorly in this manhwa in my opinion. As a reader, I wasn't able to follow what's really going on and was confused on who is already the lead or about what I'm reading. Despite this, I still enjoyed reading both parts of this manhwa and the sequel even the ending between Colin and Philippa was lacking and not what I was expecting.

I expected this story to go a totally different way, so I was a bit surprised with how things turned out. The whole book has a pretty slow pace so I was kinda bored for the first half. I found myself putting the book down multiple times to read something more interesting. However, the file was expiring soon and I had to finish it and I’m glad I did. The second half is just so sad and rips out your heart. It’s all a bunch of love and loss. There were some parts that were confusing to follow, like the parts with Cordelia and their grandmother, so I ended up skimming those parts. Parts of the story are also told from the POV of other characters, so while the plot is slow, there’s a lot going on at times. Overall, this is an interesting story with some good emotional bits, but I definitely won’t be continuing with the series.

Me encantó. // Loved it.
The art is beautiful and the story is really good. I almost cried, I really liked how they developed the story and the twist at the end! I'm so weak for this kind of plot, I just find it really interesting and I love the trope (don't know if this could be consider a spoiler, but just in case).

Recieved as an ARC from Edelweiss

This one didn't work for me like I was hoping. I enjoyed the concepts it explored and the art was gorgeous, but I was uncomfortable with the initial major age gap between the two main characters . As individuals though though the characters were interesting especially the witch and her way of perceiving the world/dealing with grief.

This manhwa is fantastic and an absolute masterpiece. However the physical version is missing panels and full on sections from the webtoon. But, it does have some extra content instead. Pages are not numbered. Paper quality is good. It has a new translation, separate from the webtoon. Still, I’m glad to have it. And since it seems that the korean physicals have the same paneling done, I don’t think I can complain.

I’m iffy on this. I love the romantic trope of reincarnating and finding your true love over and over again, plus the tragedy of their love never lasting long. But in his first life she pretended to be his mother but from Lilly’s perspective you can see Phillipa wasn’t acting like a mother, she was grooming him, which is very creepy. In another life she met him again as a child she did it again too.
