What's that scene!

Thank you for a very point on reference guide to for each topic. Your book makes it easy to quickly refer to any one of ideas you need to get help with. The examples show how easy to adapt your own writing and the list of extra Unusual words help a lot. A must read for all writers. Just going down the table of content make you remember to check your manuscripts.

A must-read if you are a writer!

I'm currently doing the first set of edits for my supernatural fantasy novel. I found this book to be extremely helpful in learning to craft more detailed scenes that bring the reader into the story.
While I read this book on Kindle Unlimited, I did purchase a physical copy to keep handy.
I look forward to reading the rest of the series!

so very useful

This book helps you write in ways you may not have thought of before. Not only does it help me rethink moments in my rewrites, but I know I will return to it every time I edit my future novels.

Thesaurus

It is pretty much a thesaurus for a book. I was hoping for something more. This didn't give me what I was looking for

Great resource!

Great resource for writers! I love how the author demonstrates "showing" vs. "telling". This is a great tool for beginner and seasoned writers.

I found this to be a very helpful book about creating vivid description by weaving these descriptions into the action of the story and avoiding the "laundry list" bland descriptions which can be very tiresome to most readers. The real trick is not to stop the action to describe a setting or character's physical appearance, but to be creative and find ways to do these things in a way that they flow with the story.

I would highly recommend this little book to writers who would like to paint more vivid pictures of people and places that aren't an interruption to your story, but a natural part of it. There are many examples that show you exactly how in this interesting read.

Buy my other books!!!

All the examples are her own novels so it felt like I was reading promos for her other books. The lists make it worthwhile.
