10 books94 followers I am a 65-year-old Australian and was a high school teacher for most of my professional life. Born and raised in Sydney, I have taught in many places in eastern Australia. I have also taught in England and Hong Kong for extended periods of time.
I write in the genre of erotic romance in order to express the joy I find in life and in love. I began with short stories and poetry that mostly seemed to focus on one theme: the nature of love between men and women.
Specifically, I am intrigued by the nature of Dom / submissive relationships. Not the stereotypical leather and whips type but the need for many men to take a dominating role in lovemaking and for many women to take a submissive role.

I've read everything this author, Khul Waters, has published and quite a bit which he hasn't. Yes, I'll admit to being a tad biased because of this long and close association but I would like to review Cashmere anyway.
Cashmere is the latest of Khul Waters' beautifully intimate romances. If you haven't read one of his stories yet, well, you should remedy that...and Cashmere would be an excellent place to start.
Cashmere is a HEA romance with some elements of emerging dominance / submission between the two central characters, Dan and Laura. Set in Terrigal, a beautiful coastal town north of Sydney, Australia, the story follows the lives and love of these two business people. It is intimate and loving and naturally funny. Khul Waters is able to make the reader become part of the story and to share in the developing love of the people in it.
If you like your romances to be hot but intimate, if you like the descriptions of love-making to be explicit but loving, if you like your (book) relationships to be realistic but special, then you, too will enjoy Cashmere.

Truthfully, I am a little bit torn about reviewing this book. On one side I liked the story and the characters and rooted for them to end up together (I am just a sucker for HEA). But on the other hand, the style of writing was just not for me. That's not to say that it wasn't good. I just prefer my stories faster paced and at times not that detailed in description. That's why I am not really sure how to rate this book. I simply don't want to make any of you not giving a chance to the story as it is quite possible that it is your cup of tea. So I will give you my opinion on the story line and you can decide whether you are up for reading the book or not :)
The main characters were rather interesting. Dan is not exactly my favorite alpha dominant male but he definitely has his good features and knows how to make you melt in his hands. So if you are into men wild not that dominant tendencies, you are definitely going to fall in love with Dan. He is dependable, tender, romantic and loving and it doesn't hurt that he definitely knows his way around a woman's body :) Laura is like the perfect fit for Dan. She is strong, independent and she's been terribly hurt in the past. And Dan is definitely the man the heal her wounds and find happiness again.
So in a few words, the story is interesting and the characters are intriguing but in the end the style of writing just wasn't for me. If you are into softer romantic stories, then I really think you should give this book and this author a chance. In my opinion you will definitely like Dan and Laura and their story.

Wow, this book really threw me for a loop on how it started with that menage -- I mean super HOT start to a book that completely will catch your attention. Once a book gets my attention from the first page I already know the book is going to consume my whole attention until I'm done reading. I loved how the relationship took off from the start between Dan and Laura. Two very passionate and striving business people. I loved how they took the initiative to finally admit the attraction they had for each other when they met up at the club.
Laura was a little reluctant at first because she had been hurt in the past and even though her relationship with Dan took off from the get-go, she knew that he was the one for her regardless if it was too soon or not. I loved Dan's determination to prove to Laura that you can fall in love with someone instantly.
I just loved this love story between these two individuals -- the passion they shared and the love that consumed them both was just unbelievable.
The BDSM aspect in the book was soft and I liked it, their sex was intense and beautiful and there was a lot of it too :)
I'm very happy that this couple was able to continue their love journey throughout the book and had their HEA.
This is the first book I read from this author and I have to say that I was very impressed and will continue reading more from him.

Khul Waters always takes you on a sensual journey with his writing and this was no exception. It was sensual, sumptuous and highly erotic.
From it's beginnings with Laura and Dan taking part in a threesome, you cannot help but wonder where the story is going to take you. It takes a highly pleasurable turn as it focuses on Laura and Dan's developing feelings for each other.
Laura has always been in control of her life and everything in it but meeting Dan throws her carefully constructed control into chaos as she struggles to reconcile her feelings. Scared that falling in love means that she has to give up her control, she pushes him away. Dan is strong, confident as as sexy as hell himself but he doesn't want to take that control away; it is part of the attraction. He is the ultimate perfection in boyfriends; giving her the time and space she needs; knowing what she needs; and giving her the control she needs, while showing her patiently that it is sometimes ok to let go.
This was a homage to all those strong, confident and ambitious women who feel they have to give up who they are to stroke their partner's ego. This was a hot and sexy read but equally giving a clear statement. I came away feeling sated and satisfied by its sumptuous writing.

I've read all khuls book and I'm never left disappointed...
I love Khuls books and he never fails to show
his passionate side while he's writing he's always
so positive throughout he has a unique writing style
that just captures your heart while reading,
cashmere I fell in love with Dan and Laura and the
relationship they built like nothing could
tear them apart there was times I was gasping
and thinking OMG.
The more I got into the book I felt like I was running
though the emotions of the characters which pulls you in
There is slight BDSM in this book it gives you a real

A Hot Sexy Read with Heart!
This is the first book that I've read by Khul Waters. I am so glad I did. This book is a very passionate and sexy read, but the relationship between Dan and Laura is also in depth and personal. It took a little time but I was soon drawn into the story, like I was along for the ride with the characters. I felt a wide range if emotions while reading Dan and Laura's story as it by builds and grows. These two found a place in my heart as I felt for them, felt with them. The sex scenes are very explicit, and there is a BDSM element, but not over the top, just enough to add to the couple's relationship. I look forward to reading more from this author, as I found his writing to be creative, the plot was good, and the characters are well written, realistic and relatable.

Cashmere is the first book in the Tales From the Terrigal series. There are many scenes in the book that describe the beautiful beaches of the Australian coast. Dan and Laura take full advantage of the opportunities for "water sports" of the sensual nature. They are a couple who enjoy each other and their time together. There is loving bickering and playful banter between the lovers.
There is passion and sorrow. The erotic scenes are written in such a beautiful way that the reader feels somewhat like a voyeur witnessing pure bliss.
I loved the book! I felt that total contentment that a reader experiences when completing a book that has touched them on all levels.

First of all grab your blanket, drink and your favorite reading spot because once again Khul Waters has hit this out of the ball park. I have had the pleasure of reading all of Khul books and this one is on the top of my list for sure. Once again Khul did not disappoint. I was captured into the story from the first paragraph. As usual Khul showed so much passion I felt like I was a part of the characters. I laughed, cringed and cried.
Dan and Laura's love for one another was so strong you can't help but to be swept away with this story. This will be a book I will come back to often and suggest to all my friends. This is a must read..

Review by Maggie Smith. I enjoyed this book tremendously. It was a fun romp throughout - starting with the menage. I liked the way Khul wrote this book - like he was telling a tale of friends of his or someone he'd known for some time. It gave an atmosphere of connection to this couple. The heat between them was very catching and the locations were so well described the reader wanted to go there too. Khul has such a way of drawing you into his story you felt like shouting advice to Laura when she hesitated. All together a most enjoyable trip to the Terrigal Shores and a lovely romance to be involved in.

A beautiful romance story and very hot and sexy. This book starts quite early on with a F/M/F threesome and then follows Dan and Laura's very passionate journey.
Whilst I really enjoyed this book, I only dropped a star as I personally felt it was initially lacking a little in storyline with a bit too much sex too early on making the connection with the characters a tad weak, but having said that I found this an enjoyable read and the story got much stronger once I got past this.
I haven't read any other books from this author before but will definitely look out for more in the future.

I was given an opportunity to read this ARC copy for my honest review. Khul Waters is amazing. this is the first book that I have read by this talented author.
this is a hot sexy read. I couldn't put it down. there is so much passion put into this story and light BDSM giving you the in site on what a little dominance in the bedroom can do for their relationship.
I will definitely be adding more of Khul to my library.

This is my first time to read a Khul Waters book but I hope it is not my last. I enjoyed this story of Dan and Laura as they grow closer and try to define what their relationship is to be. There is such sexual chemistry between the two and their love scenes are off the charts hot. There is a little BDSM but it does not overpower the story. This story had a slow and steady build and once it took off I could not put it down.

Loved this book! It's a great story about love and friendship, about letting go of the past and believe in a future full of possibilities and happiness!
Dan and Laura's story starts out in an unconventional way but it gets only better and stronger the more they spend time together.
I love how they can have fun and be happy together just doing simple things.
It's a joy to read and you will be smiling most of the time..plus it's hot!!!!
