Secrets Like Us is a scorching hot collection of five ultra smexy novellas that tempt, tease, and titillate! Each set of characters exists in the Conception Ridge world, and the cameos from each couple in other books interconnect them, but each story can be enjoyed as a standalone. The same two narrators perform the entire audiobook, and they do a stand-up job of elevating each story to the next level of smutty goodness.

Before He Was Her Headmaster is a spicy hot taboo romance with low angst, high steam, and intense connection. The audiobook is an outstanding way to enjoy this novella—the narrators deliver entrancing performances that suck you into the story quickly and keep you hooked to the end. Sebastian and Lily have fiery chemistry that leaps off the pages! Lily’s backstory is interesting, and the age gap daddy kink between these two is filthy fun. The smexy times are quite delicious, and I adore how devoted Sebastian is to Lily and her well-being. His alpha-protector emotions flare brighter as the story progresses, and the slow burn builds in an awesome way. Loved it!

Above the Shop is filthy fun age gap entertainment with a curious and confident young woman who sees-wants-seduces her mom’s friend, Henry. Henry is ultra protective and intensely serious about not pushing Summer too much or too fast, and he fights his attraction hardcore—until he simply can’t resist her any more. Summer is secure in herself and is so eager to learn from him and be with him—their chemistry lights up the pages! I adored the cameos from Lily (book 1 in the series), who Summer meets at college. There is mild daddy kink and breeding kink that makes the story even hotter. The narrators nailed this one with their performances—the audiobook is absolute fire y’all!

Santa’s Baby is delectably forbidden hotness in an audiobook! Grumpy celibate loner Ford has it so bad for his best friend’s 19 year old daughter, Neely. His denial of his wants and feelings is intense, and Neely is beyond obsessed with him and pushes him at every opportunity. Their chemistry is intense, and their daddy breeding kink is filthy in the best of ways. Their journey to an HEA is low angst and high heat, with more erotic steam than plot. The narrators deliver emotional and powerful performances filled with passion and purpose, elevating this taboo love story to the next level of entertainment. Such a fun listen!

Father of the Bride is delectable and delicious fun with a splash of drama and so many laughs! Rosie and Daniel are electric characters—each harboring a secret crush on the other—and watching it all unfold is drooly, swoony goodness! I love how the author brings these two together, and the situations they find themselves in! My oh my. Spicy chemistry abounds, and the narrators nailed their performances with passion and grace. Loved it!

Cabin Mates is erotic spicy MMF hotness with daddy kink and the two youngers in their twenties are both virgins. Daddy Heath teaches them both everything they want to know while also enjoying both of them. There is tons of smexy smut and very little plot. Chloe Maine stated this was her first foray into MMF and she did it beautifully. The emotional connection between Heath and Wyatt is evident from the get go, and their intense attractions to Emily are scorching. It takes her a minute to catch up to them, but once she does she definitely loves the control and power of having two men lust after her and love on her at once. There was hardly any MM (it’s very light caressing compared to the hardcore MFM and MF scenes)—that part is more emotional than physical. The narrators did a great job bringing out the emotions in the performances, though it would have been helpful if they had different tones and inflections for Heath and Wyatt—it was sometimes difficult to tell which one was speaking because they didn’t vary their voices at all.

I listened to Secrets Like Us by Chloe Maine, which is a collection of five age gap instalove novellas from the Conception Ridge series.

This was a really easy audiobook collection to get through. It’s definitely for when you want something quick, spicy, and not too complicated.

I liked that the stories didn’t try to be something they weren’t. They’re short, steamy, and very trope-heavy, but that worked for me. Sometimes I just want a book that gets right to it, and this collection did that.

The age gap/forbidden setups were a big part of the fun. Some stories worked better for me than others, but overall I liked having them together in one audiobook. It made the whole thing feel very bingeable.

The narration worked well too. Jill Smith and Adam Beckett made it easy to stay in the stories, and I liked having the same voices carry the collection.

If you like spicy age gap romance, instalove, possessive older men, and quick novellas, this is a fun one to listen to.
