The plot was all over the map. If you're into interesting and original progression paths then this series hits it out of the park. As to the rest, I'm growing less and less interested. The romantic element, in particular, felt forced.

I definitely liked the books. I think they're good and I always think that the people are way too overpowered for anything in the cultivation books all of them.

Read almost half of 3 on RR and stopped in early June. Audiobook & ebooks are out now.

I prefer audio over print for this series. Plan to finish up with audio later.

Feels too much like merely a shallower version of Weirkey Chronicles. The sophomoric romance crap is a big minus. Dunno why Sarah is writing romance like a pre-teen. Does she just think that's what the audience wants?

Honestly had a really tough time finishing the last 3 hours of the audiobook, the entire book is almost 30 hours, but extremely repetitive in content. The fight scenes feel more and more tedious, repetitive and needlessly overdramatic and wordy towards the end. This makes the final battle, which should have been a tense and epic conclusion of the book feel more like a chore to read.

If some needlessly repetitive story elements were removed and the writing(especially the fight scenes was more concise, less overdramatic as well as used more variation in prose and approach it could have been a quite good 22 to 26 hours long audio book.

As for romance, I am honestly all for the inclusion of romance in progression fantasy books, but again it felt to repetitive in the way it was brought up and a bit on the immature and angsty side for my tastes.

PS: If you feel that I use repetitive a lot then you know how I felt about the book :/

I will add, that a part of the fault also lies with the narration, which is also, you guessed it, repetitive and often more dramatic then I would have liked.
The audiobook format also make the earlier pointed out flaws more obvious and thus irritating.
