Rooted in faith and prayer, the author of this book does not try to present something entirely new. What is presented is an addition to the already existent collective wisdom shaped by voices like Carol Dweck, James Clear, Viktor Frankl, and countless others. This is added wisdom earned through lived experience.

What drew me in was the author’s foundations. From life in the small village of Sanga to where she stands now, she served as a powerful example. I know what it is like to come from a smaller community. Thus, I know it speaks to countless others who may not have seen themselves in the accounts, experiences, and conversations of others. The author writes for those from places where expectations can feel heavier than dreams, where vision can feel limited before it even has a chance to take shape. And vision is a very big component. Gently yet firmly makes space for them. The narrative carries a quiet insistence that where you start does not define where you can go.

A solid differentiating factor of this work is the idea that everything becomes even more meaningful when grounded in faith and prayer before action ever begins. This is the core of "Pray, Plan, Proceed."

What makes all of this resonate is the sincerity and humility in how the author shares, helping her readers to see how these principles, often mentioned, show up in everyday life. That recognition came through observance long before she could later identify them by name. For example, how the importance of consistency showed up in her childhood through her mother’s usual labor.

I specifically found the reflection on wealth to add another layer of profundity. Wealth is not described as an accumulation in the traditional sense but as the abundance accumulated through the steady work of building oneself through habits and discipline. The kind of wealth that cannot be easily taken, reduced, or lost: a richness of character and spirit.

The author’s model is presented as something that moves fluidly through faith, discipline, and daily living, showing how connected they really are.

There is so much to take from this book. One line impacted me powerfully, and I will not likely forget it: “Beauty is worth creating even if it does not last.”

This book is a beautiful addition to the collection of models for success.

Just what I was looking for!

This book could not have come at a better time in my life. I have spent so many years setting goals, only to fall short so many times. I think the missing piece for me was prayer and having faith. I love how the author shows us a simple way of practicing faith and faith first action. Of course it takes practice, but once you get the focus right, it is so much simpler from there. I also love how she helps clarify what other authors have been saying for years…and these are authors that I have really studied. What a fantastic book!

I wrote this book with all my heart and soul for every woman who has incredible potential and is capable of achieving so much in life, but is waiting for the perfect moment instead of taking action. My hope is that this book inspires you to believe in yourself, take that first step, and pursue the life you were meant to live.

An inspiring journey!

This was such an awesome read. An inspirational story of an immigrants journey from personal and professional success to striving to leave a legacy. Not just for the immigrant alone, this book had wise snippets for anyone who longs to move forward in life.
