No body and no answers. Just a single note stained with blood… and millions mysteriously deposited into her bank account.
Viktoria Pierce should have gone to the police.
Instead, she followed the trail straight into a world hidden beneath Manhattan’s glittering skyline, where monsters rule from the shadows, ancient vampire bloodlines wage silent wars, and humans are nothing more than currency.
Then she meets Alexander Stone, the dangerously powerful vampire who looks at Viktoria like he already owns her.
Her brother was involved in something far bigger than she understands, something deadly enough to start a war.
The deeper Viktoria falls into his world, the harder it becomes to tell which monsters want to kill her… and which ones want to keep her forever. Because in this world, blood is power. Desire is deadly, and falling for the wrong man could destroy her completely.
Perfect for fans of:
- enemies-to-lovers - touch her and die energy - morally gray vampires - possessive alpha heroes - forbidden romance - dark paranormal fantasy - slow-burn tension with explosive chemistry
I think this is a good start to this series but PLEASE get a good editor. Ugh it was so distracting. I sent in the recommendations and feel like I should get paid as an editor. Writing was slightly juvenile in the beginning but started to improve.
Wow. Xander and Viktoria are THE couple that I never knew I needed. The intimacy, affection, love between them as magic and prophecy combine. And then the black magic being released after being a disguise for so many years. Xander's pain and confusion, both physical and emotional, was heartbreaking. Viktoria's confusion made me want to cry for the love she couldn't remember. I wanted to head to the end of the book to find the ending desperately. This is quite a story, a fantastic first book. I'm desperate for more
This was a cute, quick vampire romance with a mystery woven throughout. It kept me entertained, and the twist at the end. If you’re looking for a fast, paranormal romance with a little suspense and spice thrown in. check your triggers !
How this hooked me was, she started out at an auction to find her missing brother.
I picked this up because I'm a sucker for vampire romances, and I'm so glad I did. It had everything I wanted: great tension, an obsessive vampire hero, and enough mystery that I kept saying, "Just one more chapter."
Xander completely stole the show for me. He's protective, possessive, and somehow still has genuinely SWEET moments. The chemistry between him and Viktoria builds at a satisfying pace, but it is def slow burn with some pretty spicy scenes... that said I do hope that there is more spice in book 2.
I also loved that there was more going on than just the romance. The vampire world mixed in with the real world was cool, and the twists kept me hooked from beginning to end. I definitely didn't see everything coming. The ending made me immediately want book two. It answers enough to close some of plots, but leaves you with so many questions that I couldn't stop thinking about it after I finished.
If you love vampires, fated mates, slow-burn romance, hidden supernatural worlds, and morally gray heroes who are completely gone for their girl, I definitely recommend giving this one a chance.
I'm definitely not a book critic lol I'm just a girl who loves vampires, and I genuinely had so much fun reading this it was easy to finish quickly. Xander had me hooked from the start, and I kept saying, "Just one more chapter." I loved the mix of romance (lots of yearning and almost moments with a good amount of spice) and mystery, and it did keep me guessing.
Just know this isn't one of those books where everything gets wrapped up with a perfect happy ending. It definitely leaves you wanting more, but in a way that made me immediately want to pick up Book 2 to see how everything plays out, because the twists in this book were rly good. If you're a vampire romance fan, I'd absolutely recommend giving this one a chance.
I've read so many vampire romances that they can start to blur together, but this one kept my attention the whole way through. I actually caught myself making excuses to keep reading instead of doing things I was supposed to do. 😂 Xander was easily my favorite part, but I also really liked watching Viktoria slowly figure out what kind of world she'd been thrown into. That ending was just mean... ok where's book 2 Luna???
Such a fun read... I got hooked way faster than I expected and ended up staying up way too late to finish it. The romance, the twists, and the vampire world all worked really well together. Definitely worth reading if you're in the mood for a vampire romance. Keep in mind is does end not resolved, so naturally I need to read book 2 to find out what happens next.
I love the concept and the book held my attention. The love interest and the attraction was really good.
Spoiler alert - she still stayed a virgin at the end of the book - the poor poor girl! A few times I was too distracted by the grammatical and typo errors. You need someone that can proofread better for you.

Such a fun vampire romance. The world-building was easy to follow, and I was invested in both the romance and the mystery from the start. This book deserves way more attention. If you're looking for your next vampire obsession, this is it.
This was such a good book, cant wait for the 2nd one. The way he stood by her and loves her. Laughed at her and with her. He's truly a gentleman. Really worth reading
I picked this up on a whim... I hesitated since there was no reviews, but I ended up finishing it in two days. Easy cute read that gets better and better as it continues. The chemistry and banter between Viktoria and Xander was so good, and the mystery kept me turning pages. Definitely reading Book 2 whenever it comes out because I'm really wondering what happens next (hopefully we don't have to wait too long)
