Emily Wilcox lives in a little seaside resort in Florida. She spends her time with a rescue animal mission when she is not writing. Emily donated the proceeds of her last three books to rescue marine animals during the oil spill in the Gulf.
Wilcox's observations on relationships, coupled with her succinct prose, lead me to believe that she is a gifted relationship therapist. She craftily delves into the inner reaches of why some men find it difficult to commit, outlining the different facets and how they progress through time.
It would have been great if the book included as much detail on generating effective change in oneself as it did on drilling down into the issue of Commitment Phobia. The ultimate message seems to be 'learn to love oneself', but other than a handful of suggestions at the end of the book (i.e. vision boards, healthy diet, etc.) there isn't much for the reader to begin the transformation.
