The sequel to Sun, Moon & Shadow and the second book in the Fate of Aemoria Series, Death Will Follow is an action-packed story for readers who crave spicy romantasies where the world is dark and the stakes are high, but the romance is green flag. Perfect for fans of epic quests, deadly trials, cursed objects, duty vs. devotion, lore & legends, chosen one, Court intrigue, fae/elemental magic, and emotional romance.

“You are born of sun, moon, and shadow. Wherever your path leads . . . death will follow.”

An uneasy calm has settled over the Fae Realm of Aemoria. But as long as the Shadowbringer lives, it’s only a matter of time before the fragile peace is shattered once more.

Nova has thrown herself into the demands of her life in the Lunar Court. Though nightmares no longer haunt her sleep, she senses something stalking her from the shadows. When death comes for her, breaching the walls of the Silvergard Estate, Nova unleashes a magic found only in legend. In the aftermath, an unlikely ally reveals she alone may be the key to defeating the Shadowbringer once and for all.

By the time the bargain tethering him to the Winter Court draws to a close, Callan has nurtured a budding kinship with the folk of Nivali. Still, nothing will keep him from answering Nova’s call for aid. Torn between duty and devotion, he contends with a difficult follow the path his uncle has laid for him or forge one of his own.

Reunited, Nova and Callan embark on an epic quest, braving deadly trials in search of a cursed blade. Thrust into new alliances and forced to question bonds once thought unbreakable, the couple clings to the strength and solace they find in one another.

As the darkness draws near in the battle for the fate of Aemoria, they must decide whether saving the Realm is worth the risk—to their lives and their love.

I was so excited to beta-read this stunning follow-up to Sun, Moon, and Shadow! Book 2 introduces new characters, new lands, and new hurdles for Callan and Nova to overcome! I particularly loved exploring more of the universe and gaining a deeper understanding of Aemoria's politics.

Nova has put in the time to get to know and love the Lunar Court, but when her Uncle Nox, Noble Lord of Silvergard, asks the other courts to band together to put an end to the Shadowbringer once and for all, mistrust and resentment get in the way, making their mission all the more difficult. Get yourself a copy of Sun, Moon, and Shadow (on KU!) so you're prepared for book 2 in September!

I had a really good time with this book, which picks up not too long after the end of book 1. Callan remains a cinnamon roll for Nova. He is torn between Nova and Nivali and its fascinating to read. Meanwhile, Nova has settled into her new life in Silvergard. It definitely shows in her choices. She has had serious growth since book 1. The story is a bit darker and more intense. Our heroes go on a quest so we also get more world building. As with book 1, there is no crazy cliffhanger at the end which I very much appreciated. Even without a cliffhanger though, I can't wait to read the next book with these two as I really want to see what happens next.

THANK YOU FOR MY ARC🖤 Book 2 was such a wild ride. Quest to find pieces of a cursed sword. Ancient Elves and pond monsters. Lifeless army at the command of Omen. Fated mates. High stakes. This was such a page turner in the best way. I love the way Lorin writes. She truly pulls the reader into specific moments in time. Love this series!

I was absolutely honored to be asked to Beta read Death Will Follow, Book 2 in the Fate of Aemoria series, by the author, Lorin.

This is a MUST READ! I read book 1 last year and I was so thrilled to dive back into the world and characters. The title alone gave me shivers and it absolutely holds true to its name.

Death Will Follow is a level up in ALL the ways! Most notably is Lorin’s writing: It is darker. It is spicier. It is SO GOOD! Callan is Frost Daddy. The character development, the relationship development, the expanded world building and the action is so immersive. I am a slow reader and I read this in a handful of days because it was EPIC.

Do you like quests? Trials? Political intrigue? Magic? Fae? Then do yourself a favor and read this series! I cannot wait for more to come from Lorin, she’s only just getting started!!
