He wasn't supposed to be there. Ron Morgan was a construction worker from New Jersey. He came to New York City in December to see the Christmas tree with his family. He went to get hot chocolates from a street vendor. He saw something in an alley. He tried to help. That was the last thing Ron Morgan ever did. What followed were weeks of chains, concrete walls and systematic torture at the hands of a cartel that treated human lives as inventory. Ron made a promise through the wall to the eight girls in the room next door. He didn't survive keeping it. But something came back. It had Ron Morgan's face. His scars. The memory of his promise. And eyes that burned electric blue. The FBI found him kneeling in the center of the warehouse. Ten men down. Eight girls alive. Still chained. His first words weren't help me. They were — the girls are in the back room. Third door on the left. They're alive. Now he goes by one name. Gray. He has visions that show him people in danger before it happens. He has abilities that shouldn't be possible. And when the bad go down — he feels nothing. Nothing. Gray doesn't know what he is yet. But the things that prey on the innocent are starting to find out. GRAY is Book One of the Gray Series — a dark supernatural action thriller about an ordinary man who did the right thing, paid the ultimate price and came back as something extraordinary. They killed him. They shouldn't have.
I absolutely loved this book. I can't wait for book 2. The cover is amazing and matches the book perfectly. Gray/Ron is a great anti-hero/hero. What he goes through that leads to his new life purpose. I'm glad there were no extensive details, but written in a no emotions way to match him. Excellent story from start to finish, and I can't wait for book 2.
