5 - "I did the wrong thing to the right girl." Stars!

I picked this book up yesterday afternoon, I put it down yesterday evening. I read it in one sitting, which in itself is extremely unusual for me, but I literally got lost in its pages and the story that Robin Covington told. If you are a fan of the TV show, Nashville you will love this book to pieces.

”Life just got very interesting.”

Zane Wyatt and Emory Cabell have chemistry, add to the fact they are going to be stuck in close quarters together for the foreseeable future, while on tour with Emory’s half-sister Kit Landry and the heat level rises past boiling point between them pretty quickly. For all of Zane’s experience and Emory’s lack of, this pair together were sexy, sexy hot from the very get-go.

I loved that the author gave Emory the confidence to go for what she wanted, Zane is the consummate player, and boy does it show when they get down to business, the sexy times between them were some of the hottest I have read for a while.

”You’re always in control of this ride.”

This was an extremely easy going read, but in a good way. Robin got the mix of romance, drama and angst just right. I liked both Emory and Zane, the secondary characters added value to the story, and although there aren’t really any surprises in relation to the plot, the writing of the story is executed perfectly. Noting is left under developed, or overplayed, and I just enjoyed every minute of the time I spent with this couple.

”When we saw that shooting star, you are what I wished for.

Not big contracts or big tours. Not even a new song. Just you.”

Although part of a series, you can totally read this book as a standalone, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This author has added herself to my auto-buy list with Redemption, and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for her readers next!

Redemption by Robin Covington was one quick sexy, steamy, and hot read that will have you strumming along to the beat as a couple discovers the music to their heart. When words fail, music speaks volumes and has a way of bringing people together. And in Redemption, Zane Wyatt and Emory Cabell discovers that their love may not just be limited to one song. So can a man-whore be tamed when he meets the quintessential good girl next door?

299

Zane has only one objective and that is to get a record deal. And while music is his main goal and dream, he is also known as a man-whore who doesn't discriminate when it comes to men and women. Simply, he is not the relationship type of guy. But when he goes on tour with Kit's band, he didn't expect to change his stance on commitment when he meets Emory.

Emory is the half sister of Kit Landry and after years of finding out the deciet that her father had a secret family and life, she wanted to break free and pursue her dreams in Nashville. So when she teams up with Zane to write a song, sparks begins to fly between these two. Musically and in the bedroom, these two had a sizzling chemistry. But what happens when a record deal and possible betrayal ruins their chance to a happily ever after. Will Zane lose the trust of Emory when she discovers his past? Or will he lose his chance at redemption? Can Emory's love save Zane?

So if you are a fan of a quick steamy yet emotional read then I highly suggest you to read REDEMPTION by Robin Covington. Ms. Covington did an excellent job in showcasing the intense pull and chemistry of Zane and Emory. After reading this book, I so badly want to start the previous two books before Redemption.

REVIEW: REDEMPTION is the third installment in Robin Covington’s new adult, contemporary Nashville Nights romance series. This is singer/song writer Zane Wyatt, and Emory Cabell’s storyline. Emory is Kit Landry’s (Temptation Book 1) nineteen year old half sister, and Zane is Kit’s lead guitarist and opening act on her sold-out summer tour. REDEMPTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous storylines is revealed where necessary.

Told from alternating first person points of view (Zane and Emory) REDEMPTION follows the quick building relationship of insta-lust between our leading couple. Emory and Zane click; their attraction to one another is palpable, and does not go unnoticed by fans or the members of the band, and as such Emory’s sister Kit let’s our couple know where she stands if Zane destroys Emory’s heart.

Zane is a bad boy; a man-whore who he likes both men and women, and has no problem expressing his sexual desires, wants and needs. But something about Emory pulls at Zane’s heart, and their connection and sexual energy is perfect; their ability to write songs together is nothing short of gold-record status. Emory is the virginal, girl next door whose own music star is about to rise.

REDEMPTION has an ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Emory’s sister Kit Landry. We are also introduced to several members of the band-bassist Aaron Rice, and keyboardist Mike Leonard, as well as drummer Mac Giles. Zane’s extended family whom he hasn’t seen in a number of years shows a different side to Zane’s rock and roll lifestyle.; and someone from Zane’s past will set into motion heartbreak and betrayal. Emory’s world will come crashing down when Zane is offered the chance to star on his own.

REDEMPTION is a quick read; a fast paced story of romance and love; heartbreak and betrayal; music and the bright lights of fame. The premise is lighthearted and engaging; the characters are animated, colorful, and passionate; the happily ever after is emotional and heartfelt. The world building refocuses on the music and the musicians-the series took a bit of a detour in book two.

Sometimes small town life is smothering. For Emory Cabell, she always dreamed of something ‘more’. What she didn’t expect was to discover that a huge chunk of her life was filled with lies. Now that she has learned of her father’s ‘other family’, Emory revels in the fact that she has a half-sister. Soon she leans that her sibling is none other than Kit Landry….the current ‘Queen’ of Nashville. With dreams of a better future, Emory heads to Music City to meet her sister and live out her hearts desires.

Working your way through the music industry takes sacrifice and hard work. Zane has stars in his eyes and wants nothing more than music contract. Landing a place as the lead guitarist on Kit’s tour is the chance of a lifetime for Zane. When Kit asks Zane to write a few songs with Emory, the guitarists finds himself drawn to more than her good looks. The innocence that surrounds Emory ignites something within Zane that he never has experienced before.

Writing a number one single pulls the two together in more ways than one. Emory wants to discover every nuance that her new life provides. When the sparks fly with Zane, Emory decides to experience all of the pleasure that Zane is offering. What should have been a casual fling, now ignites a fire within the duo. Neither understanding what their place is in the others life. As fate would have it, a job offer quickly works its way in front of the pair. They find their feelings tested as emotions fly over the ‘fine print’ within the contracts. Zane is faced with the realization that his future is tied to Emory. Fighting that connection may cost Zane the job of a lifetime and the woman that he never realized he loved.

Redemption offers a fast paced look into the lives of Zane and Emory. Both are experiencing the bright lights of Nashville and all the music industry highs and lows. Together the two burn up the sheets, but struggle with lies, secrets, and betrayal. What is in store for their future??

Character favorites from the Nashville Nights series come together to make this tour unforgettable. Zane’s playboy lifestyle is hampered by his sudden infatuation with Emory. A lust for the excitement and unknown fuels Emory to throw caution to the wine, and experience everything that excites her in life. It’s a fast paced romance that doesn’t hold back. Their story is about trust, decisions, and living life on your own terms.

Awesome quick read! In typical Robin Covington fashion, this one is sexy, steamy, and oh so good! The main characters of Zane and Emory work so well together, they will each take up a little place in your hear.

Working hard to make it in the Nashville music scene, Zane lives his life hard and fast with no plans of settling down any time soon. Emory is young, innocent, and has a voice of an angel. When these two end up working on the same tour, sparks immediately fly and both their worlds are about to change! This is one I highly recommend.

I loved this book just as much as the first two in the series. Emory is Kit's long lost sister and Zane is Mateo's best friend so they round out the trilogy quite nicely. The book takes place when Kit's band goes on tour. Zane is her opening act and Emory is a back up singer. They have sparks flying between them from the very beginning. The love scenes in this book are scorching hot. I enjoyed both the conflict and resolution. It was a very enjoyable read and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

After the emotional intensity of the previous installment in the Nashville Nights series, Redemption was a much more easygoing read with only one Big Misunderstanding to keep the likable and sweet and sexy main couple from their HEA. From start to finish readers get a glimpse of a vividly depicted world of country music and the skyrocketing career of two people who find an unexpected connection when it comes to music and love. Readers will find themselves fully invested in their career and burgeoning relationship and cheering when they hit the big time.

Zane has always been seen as the sexy, tatted-up playboy of country music, always had a plan for becoming a famous solo singer. He's a love 'em and leave 'em guy who's never been interested in commitment but since meeting his friend's, and the woman who made him her opening act, half-sister he's been left conflicted. Being a player's never bothered him before but he doesn't want to betray the woman who's giving him the chance of a lifetime nor hurt the sweet, sexy, and talented young woman who brings him happiness and unconditional support. Though he wanted to keep things casual with her he quickly gets caught up in their fiery connection and emotional musical collaborations that are gaining them fame. Being with her has him chasing new dreams but reminders of the past have him saying hurtful things that will ultimately need a Grand Gesture to heal and that made me a bit misty-eyed. Zane is charming and sexy and he's also got a playful side that's endearing. Being with Emory brought out his romantic side too as seen through their first sexual encounter that was full of hearts and flowers. His interactions with Emory crackled with electricity from their very first meeting with sexual interludes that became hotter as they grew closer. Their banter too was flirty and fun and gave extra zing to their romance.

Emory's a sweet girl who always wanted to leave home for the chance at something more. After discovering her half-sister's a famous country singer she sets out to reconnect with Kit but soon finds herself caught up in a steamy romance with a super sexy bad boy. Together they make beautiful music on and off the stage until hurtful words pull them apart. Will Emory be able to forgive Zane or will this be the day their love song comes to an end? Emory was a likable heroine and you could see the sisterly bond slowly evolve between her and Kit throughout the story which made for some heartwarming moments. She was strong-willed and quick to offer quiet comfort and support when needed as seen during Zane's reunion with his father. She's open with her feelings, forthright, and stuck up for herself despite the pain it caused her which left me cheering as she made Zane work in his efforts to gain her forgiveness.

From start to finish this was a sweet and super sexy read and a very good addition to the Nashville Nights series. The main characters were immensely likable as well as the secondary ones, both treasured favorites from previous series installments along with entertaining new faces that have me excited for the next installment. The romance between Zane and Emory was erotic yet allowed to grow emotionally outside of the bedroom through their musical collaborations. The intricacies of the music world and the physically draining yet exhilarating touring schedules were vividly depicted too and pulled me even further into the story and the outcome of this sparkling duo. Emory was a worthy heroine who I liked from the very start. Zane was appealing as a player but became even more so as the quintessential hero who found love and was willing to do anything to get it back. This was a nicely crafted romance with only a bit of angst which makes this a decadent summer read to take you away from it all!

4.5 STARS!

Note: This ARC was provided by Barclay Publicity in exchange for an honest review.

When I received the advanced reader’s copy (ARC) of Redemption, the third book in the Nashville Nights series by author Robin Covington, the night before its release (night here, morning in the US), I had a choice to wait to read it and post my review at a later date or to do exactly what I knew I was going to do the minute the book was on my tablet: read Zane Wyatt and Emory Cabell’s love story. Both Zane and Emory were introduced to readers in the second book but I will admit that I was quite surprised by the background stories these two had. While Zane makes no secret of his being with a lot of people, regardless of gender, he’s always been upfront about the fact that there should be no expectations. Then you have Emory who may be flirtatious with Zane and has had some experience with her high school boyfriend but is still a V-card-carrying girl. They’re attracted to one another but it’s their passion for music that brings them closer together and enables to discover that they’ve got way more in common than either of them thought.

While the first two books, Temptation and Salvation, had one or both of the lead characters being saddled with very heavy pasts and/or issues that are still affecting them in one form or another, Zane and Emory’s issues, which were mostly family-related, did not feel as burdensome. Yes, Emory put a greater premium on trust because of what her father did, and yes, Zane felt he had something to prove to his father, who questioned Zane’s dream of becoming a musician, but I felt that it didn’t make them into jaded and wary individuals who veered away from relationships. I like that this book had lead characters who were still able to surprise me and that you could see them developing from two flirty singles to creating a friendship and a working relationship as songwriters and singers until they decided to level everything up. Their love story wasn’t overly complex but the struggles were very much there, both personally and professionally, even though they were more understated and things only really came to a head in the book’s inevitable climax.

I may have yet to read all of Robin Covington’s books, but of the ones I’ve had the pleasure of reading, it’s safe to say that she continues to come up with characters that you become invested in and she creates stories that do not merely entertain but make you feel as well. Zane Wyatt and Emory Cabell move in the same industry, with him being the veteran and she being the newbie, and he’s someone who’s seen more action in bed with a multitude of people while she’s been limited to reaching third base with her ex-boyfriend. While Zane is able to teach Emory a few things in both aspects of their relationship, she’s also able to open his eyes and his heart to the possibilities that they have before them if they choose to become more committed in their working partnership and their own unlabeled relationship. It was difficult to not cheer these two on, and that surprise at the end makes me wonder if there’s a novella waiting in the wings for my favorite characters from the entire series. ^.^ I recommend you read Redemption and I give it five stars. ♥

Zane is made three career offers. His outbursts are self-absorbed and selfish, he betrays her both professionally and personally.

“These deals are for a group. They aren’t solo deals.”
“We were looking for a solo deal, right?”
He glances at Emory and looks embarrassed. “Zane, the gold record was for the work you did together. Everyone loves the songs the two of you write. They want to see you perform as a group.”
“Andrew, this thing was just for fun. Exposure. I did not work my ass off to settle for being part of a duo”.
“Wow. I had no idea. I’m flattered you wasted your time with me at all.” Emory fumes beside me, her green eyes on fire with her anger and her body rigid. I can also see the hurt but I don’t know what she expected.

“Godammit Emory, you knew what I wanted. I never hid it from you. We never talked about making this permanent. Don’t act like I broke some pinky swear with you.”
“I’m sorry. I thought we were building something together here.”
“Sleeping together and my career are two very separate things. If you weren’t nineteen you would have realized that.”

He made her feel insignificant. He wants a personal life with her but refuses to share the limelight with her.

“Maureen is a gorgeous woman, experienced and she knows how to kiss a man to get a response so when she moves in and presses her body against me, I wrap my hand around the back of her neck to keep her in the place where I can control the kiss.
She immediately dives a hand underneath my towel and her fingers stroking me feels good. I’m a guy, so any hand on my d**k that isn’t mine feels good. But this doesn’t feel right.
Maureen is not Emory. She doesn’t smell like sunshine and citrus.
She’s not Emory.
I pull away from the kiss so abruptly that Maureen stumbles and has to steady herself against the desk. She looks up at me confused and off balance, lipstick smeared until something behind me catches her eye and she transfers her focus to it.
Emory is there for a split second and if I thought the words I said earlier hurt her, the expression on her face right now tells me that was paper scratch compared to the knife I just put in her back.”

Emory to Zane
“We. Are. Over. I got carried away and thought that what we had was more than the music”.

Robin Covington is back with the third instalment of the Nashville Nights series and trust me, you do not want to miss out on the oh so delicious Zane. This book is lighter than the two previous books, but what the author has done is give us a book that is fun, hot, flirty, un-put-down-able and full of feels. I absolutely loved Emory and Zane and their story.

Zane and Emory have spark from their first meet and it only gets hotter from there. Between writing sure to be hits songs, flirting up a storm and finally giving into their chemistry, these two will heat up more than just the sheets. Country music charts be warned, there is a new duo coming for you.

When Kit (from Temptation) pushes Zane and Emory together to write music, neither expected that the music would flow so easily or would be so good. These two make magic together and it’s not just with the written word. Zane and Em soon find themselves unable to keep their hands, lips and other body parts off each other and one big night quickly leads to both of them unexpectedly wanting more.

“Emory Cabell, your voice makes me hard and I want to cry every time I hear it. That is all you and don’t you doubt it.”

But when the deals and offers start to roll in for the duo, can the newbie Emory hold onto her heart when Zane says and does some nasty things and can Zane win back the one woman who is more important to him than the music?

Read one book or all in the series, you will not be sorry. Books like this is why I love this authors writing.

Zane Wyatt has worked hard for 5 years to get where he is: he’s a great songwriter, the lead guitarist with Kit Landry’s band and even gets to be the opening act on her tour. But he wants more; he wants his own solo recording contract. Emory Cabell is Kit Landry’s younger half-sister; Emory is a talented singer and guitarist and is trying out with Kit’s band to see if music is really what she wants to do with her life. Zane is a good guy but an unapologetic manwhore, Emory is no innocent but she is still a virgin, and yet when they meet, sparks fly and they know they will have to act on it; it’s inevitable.

REDEMPTION is the third instalment in the Nashville Nights series, and it can easily be read as a standalone. And it should be read! REDEMPTION is my favourite Robin Covington book so far; it is flawless! Ms. Covington’s writing is seamless and crisp; everything flows perfectly. Zane and Emory have a real connection through music, they like each other, and they share such chemistry, it’s almost palpable. They are so well-defined, they feel like real people. REDEMPTION is romantic, tender and has some serious sizzle as well. REDEMPTION is a fabulous story about the love of music, life on the road – which feels absolutely genuine – and true love. REDEMPTION is simply excellent! It is the best book Robin Covington has ever written! Do not miss it!

A copy of this book was made available to me by the author, and if I had bought it, not a word would change; it is superb!

This is the third book in the series and continues the saga of Kit Landry’s tour. This one focusses on Zane Wyatt, the guitarist in her band who is also a songwriter who has been working for the last five years to get his own recording contract that will still enable him to choose what he records. He’s a brilliant musician, so much so that he’s also the opening act for the tour, but he’s very focussed on his own success and something of a manwhore.

Kit’s half sister, seventeen year old Emory Cabell, joins the tour to get to know Kit and to see also if she also wants to make music her life. When Zane first sees Emory, he can’t help going over to help her load her gear on the tour bus. When the two meet, the chemistry between them is explosive! Kit wants them to try songwriting together but will they be making sweet music or be dynamite?

A great addition to the series, with two strong characters exploring their possible futures. Whilst Zane is an alpha male with some characteristics that make you cringe, he’s also hard working, very focussed and initially respectful of Emory though also very attracted to her. She is strong willed, determined and sassy. Their story is beautifully portrayed and the ending is superb!

Thanks to the author and publisher for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Redemption the third in the Nashville Nights series of stories about life in the rock and roll world. Zane Wyatt is on his way to everything he’s worked for. He’s got a steady stream of bed mates and a gig as the opening act for a very successful music tour. If that goes well, by the time the tour is over he expects to have a recording contract that will give him a great new recording contract with a lucrative pay check and creative control. His life is just about perfect, and then, his boss’s sweet and innocent teenage half-sister turns up and sets his world on fire.
Robin Covington’s story is a sweetly romantic and seriously hot novella about the beautiful people in the music industry with all of their flaws and all of their vulnerability. This one was a pleasure to read that stands well on its own, even if you haven’t read Temptation and Salvation.

Kirstin's Review:

Redemption by Robin Covington 4 out of 5 stars

This is the third book in the series and it was just as good as the other two. I guess it could be read as a stand alone, but I would suggest reading them in order.

Emory is the young beautiful girl trying to make it in the music industry by joining her new sister's band. Zane is the sexy manwhore who never wants a relationship but always keeps his affairs honest and upfront. But when he meets Emory things are different, and before he knows what's going on he has fallen for her and there's no turning back.

So, if you're looking for a fun, sexy romance that isn't too emotionally taxing, this is the book for you! Enjoy!

Here is another perfect story added to the Nashville Nights series. Emory Cabell is Kit Landry's half-sister and wants her shot at making music. Zane Wyatt left the family farm five years ago to make his dreams come true. When they meet sparks not only fly between them, it shows in the music they write and sing together. When their song hits gold, will the contracts flying in be their downfall? Can words spoken before thinking ever be taken back? Will Em and Zane ever make beautiful music together again? I love this series and Robin Covington has the perfect way of telling a story for us to fall in love with. If you haven't read this series yet, please give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

This is the 3rd book in The Nashville Nights series. Although the book could be read as a stand alone, I recommend reading the other books first.

This is Emory Cabell and Zane Wyatt's story. Emory is Kit's half-sister and Zane is Mateo's best friend. Emory left her small town behind to go on tour as a backup singer for her sister. Zane has worked hard to get where he is now as the opening act for Kit. The first day of the tour their chemistry starts sizzling. Emory can't stand liars and Zane doesn't ever promise anything more than right now. They start writing songs together and get closer. Is it love or is it the music?

I loved these characters! I would definitely recommend this book!

A quick read from Robin and the third book in her Nashville Nights series.

Zane his heading for the big time and he knows this touring gig with Kit Landry for the Summer will be the break he needs...only he didn't expect to find Emory Cabell.

What a 6 months it has been for Emory - finding out she has a half sister, who happens to be Country Super Star Kit Landry, moving to Nashville and sing back up for big sis. She was living the dream and then found Zane.

Can they work and 'play' together? Will this summer fling change Zane's plans??

Good chemistry with Zane & Emory, you would feel it blasting through the kindle!

I love reading Robin Covington’s books and Redemption just may be my favorite.

Emory (Kit’s half sister) has arrived in Nashville to be a back-up singer in her sister’s band. Zach is the lead guitar player and known as a player. Things get hot fast and Zach fights his feelings to settle down, With the pressures of Nashville, will career dreams come true or will the dreams be rewritten?

I enjoyed the story (and would love to hear the song they wrote) because of the emotion. Love is scary and Robin Covington brings that side to life and how they overcome the pressures of Nashville and hurt feelings.

Best in this series!

Robin Covington outdid herself with this book. I thought the first book in the series was great, but this blows it clean out of the water. I love the main characters and their voices. I connected with them and related to them. I really really hope there's more in this series. I do tend to like books set in country music. This is no exception. Feel free to make this book your first Robin Covington book. It won't be your last. Additionally, this is part of a series, but it's not necessary to read the books in order. Just read it!

This is quick, fun read. Although this is book three in the Nashville Nights series, it can be read as a stand alone. However, I do suggest reading the first two. You won't be disappointed. REDEMPTION is well written and interesting. The characters are well developed, likable and have great chemistry. I enjoyed seeing Kat and Max again. I can't wait to read more books in this series. I love the music industry stories.

Awesomeness! I completely fell in love with the Nashville Nights Series from book one! This third installment stole my heart, and gave me some in depth Zane time - which I seriously needed! Redemption was light on my heart and sizzling hot for the rest of me! Great story and wonderful chemistry between Emory & Zane! Really hope to see some future stories about the characters in this series!

Emory and Zane meet on the road of a tour. Emory is the long lost sister of the biggest star and Zane is the bad boy playboy who never stays with same girl. But when then they meet and start not only making music together will they be able to make everything work out. Robin Covington again writes a book you don't want to put down.

Loved this book.

This is another great book by Robin. Love the way Carlisle and Mateo start and build their relationship only to see it fall during their trying times. They seem awesome together. The emotional roller coaster throughout this book is wonderful. Love the characters from the previous books. Can't wait for more.

Never connected to the characters. Pretty much rushed through it.
