Middle Rage

Life is messy and people are complicated (and sometimes more than a bit bloody annoying), but Myf Warhurst thought she was navigating it all okay. Sure, sometimes she had to smile and stay silent when she saw something that didn't sit right, because rocking the boat wasn't her style. After all, she was a woman who'd grown up thinking it was her job to keep the peace.

But, around the time Myf turned fifty, things shifted. Almost immediately, her usual sunny disposition disappeared into the lost property box, joining other items from her youth like her waistline, temperature regulation and a good night's sleep. Middle Rage set in. And it wasn't pretty. For a while there, all she could feel was angry. She had to work on it. And to save you from some of that angst, in this stunningly honest and completely relatable book she gets deeply personal about her own experience of this complex midlife stage. Maybe channelling her newfound rage about the glaring injustices of the world into something positive will help you, and help her find her sense of humour again (even though she still has no time right now for anyone's shit!).

Part confessional, part manifesto, Middle Rage is full of Myf Warhurst's humour, warmth and wisdom, with some tips thrown in to help women live their best middle-aged lives, and recognise when things are not as they should be. Myf asks the real  without the shackles of life's often unnecessary expectations and arbitrary rules, who are we, and what can we hope to become?

🎧 Middle Rage by Myf Warhurst 🎧
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ive always liked @myfwarhurst but now I love her! This book is brilliantly written and I was nodding along engaged, enraged and inspired. It is brilliant!I Middle Rage is a honest, powerful, and personally relatable book for woman wanting to shake the patriarchy and discuss the historical oppression of women and our continuedfight for equality. I feel like i could listen to this book 100 times. Highly recommend.

"Myf Warhurst thought she was nailing middle age. Then, thanks to some unexpected curveballs, life shook things up. Myf's usually breezy, sunny demeanour went AWOL, replaced with a quiet, seething fury bubbling deep within that threatened to burst out at any moment. No-one had warned her about this.

In this revealing memoir, Myf gets deeply personal about her own experience that left her irrevocably changed, and the impact it has had on her mind, her body and sense of self. Empowered by a newfound clarity, she shines a light on some of the glaring injustices, absurdities, cruelties and ridiculous gender expectations in our
modern world. She calls bullshit on those in charge, and those who think they are, who uphold the archaic structures holding women back.

In sharing her hard-won knowledge and claiming her own power, Myf encourages women to stop putting themselves last."

This was so good. It’s the perfect book for women/girls of any age and I related so hard to some of Myf’s feelings and experiences. Moments made me sad, mad, angry, proud, empowered, hopeful - all in a days work for a female 😂

This book is so relatable. It was amazing listening to the audiobook and hearing Myf so eloquently voice many women’s thoughts and feelings as they come into a traditionally hidden and societally forgotten period of their lives. So much of my experience as a quiet people pleaser has been similar, and I’ve found myself questioning everything as I get older. A thought provoking and powerful read.

Awesome and inspiring book. Cemented some things I knew, opened my eyes to some new others and inspired me to continue the good fight for women and see what else I can do and encourage my men to do the same.
