If I had an EMF meter, this book would rate off the spectral charts!
One book I described as a 'Hole in One, another I described as 'You knocked It Outta The Stratosphere!' Yet another was 'Hit For A Six!' But this one, this is your pièce de résistance, simply C'est magnifiue!

So if all good things must come to an end, then Boy oh Boy did this series come to a spectral & climatic & crazy end!!!


Well, 'Here Ghost Nothing', Thank you Jane Hinchey, it all started back in April 2020 with 'Ghost Mortem' as 'The Ghost is Clear' for 'A Ghost of A Chance' cos 'Who Ghost There' with 12 incredulously funny full-sized books plus the 2 zany special themed novellas, and all just in 6 short years.

It's sure been one hellova of a 'Wild Ghost Chase' on this 'Roller Ghoster' ride, but as they say all good things must come to an end, as I guess its time to finally 'Give Up The Ghost' as 'Life Ghost On', just dont 'Ghost & Tell' me about it coz life is 'Easy Come, Easy Ghost!' And I'm already missing my 'Anything Ghost' Firefly Bay family!

This is Jane Hinchey at her absolute Cozy Queen Fabulous Best & Brightest! It's absolutely dazzling, pulling out all the stops on this book and I cannot commend her highly enough.
Early through the book I thought I knew 'Whodunit' and I'm so glad I was wrong, but my 'cheif suspect' was not anybody most would’ve suspected and would've been a big right curve, fortunately it was not him/her making for a much better storyline.

I've been reading Jane's books since her very first release, many years ago & 40 something books later, however there's just that something extra special about this zany Firefly Bay Family with Audrey (Fitz) Fitzgerald-Galloway, her hunky Detective husband Kade Galloway (AKA Captain Cowboy Hot Pants), Thor (the talking sarcastic pompous British short-haired cat & Bandit (the hilariously funny raccoon with comedic timing better than most comedians who also talks). There's Ben Delaney (a ghost & Audrey's BFF) & finally Sebastian (Seb) Castile (the neighbour who comes to the rescue with fashion advice, pizza & usually wine. Plus the rest of the whole Crazy Gang. And after all these years, they do feel like family, and it was really hard & incredibly difficult to say goodbye.

Damn you, Jane Hinchey, you make me cry, not once, but four times! And not just cry, you made me ugly cry with snot and tears mingling and a constant bedful of tissues.
Oh, but there's that one place, Be Warned: I went to take a big mouthful of my cup of tea, thought better of it, only taking a small sip & quickly put it down, 'cos had I read that next line, I would have spat my tea & spine all over the book (AKA my phone) laughing my ass off!

So in Book 12 Anything Ghost our poor heroine Audrey is 9 months pregnant, ready to pop and terrified of giving birth after witnessing her niece's brutal birth,
all the while having brutal nightmares of her own upcoming birth or harming the baby after its born, (a normal reaction for all first time mums, but add to that her baby brain, pregnancy bladder the size of a pea, feet and ankles (kankles) the size of a hock of ham and Audrey's already under the pump, dealing with a lot on her plate. The EMI metre is off the charts into the red! Then to make matters worse, there's her overprotective loving partner, a 1st time father to be & husband in Kade. A cop who's usually cool as a cucumber under pressure & in extreme circumstances who trying to wrap her up in cotton wool and treat her with kid gloves.


While out on a craving run for some 'Fruit Loops' in walks Audrey's newest client, right through the closed doors of Nick's Bodega. 'Who Ghost There?' But the one and only Claire Hanover, that's who!
Claire is a recently well-known, somewhat controversial & infamous Firefly Bay community member, whom we first met back in book 10 'Ghost & Tell' with quite the reputation and is more than a handful!

Seriously, such incredibly creative genius from my 'All-Time Favourite Cozy Author Queen': Jane Hinchey! Linking Books # 1 and Book # 12 so everything that Ghost Around, comes back around again! It's Pure Brilliance❣️❣️❣️

There is so much I want to say about this book, but I can't. Not without revealing massive spoilers. The same goes for all of my favorite lines. Some of which are absolute pearlers! If I write them here, I'm going to give away huge spoilers & I just can't do that to the readers, nor ruin Jane Hinchey's final foray in The Ghost Detective Series.

This one's definitely not so simple. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Ms Hinchey. I've asked for harder cases in my reviews & boy did we get it! This is by far my favourite and your best Ghost Detective Book to date.
It's truly been a wild ride! 😪

Drink a bucket- sized cup of coffee for
starters. Eat soft cheese. Deli meats.
I was mid- daydream about absolute
freedom when the sound of my phone
ringing bounced and echoed in the
stairwell, startling me so badly I peed

Despite being nine months pregnant, Audrey Fitzgerald, ghost magnet, is determined to help Claire Hanover, a character from an earlier book in this series, discover who killed her and help her cross over to the afterlife. She means to do it before her baby is born, and that could be at any minute. It doesn’t help that her back aches, she constantly needs to pee, or that her gorgeous and caring husband, Detective Kade Galloway, is treating her like a piece of fine crystal that’s about to tumble off a table and shatter. Luckily, she has her friend since childhood, Ben Delaney, to help her. Even though he’s a ghost, he’s always willing to assist her.

This is book twelve in the Ghost Detective series. It could be read as a standalone, but much of the context and character backgrounds will be lost. For example, this volume refers back to more than one of the earlier entries in this series. This entire series is well worth reading. They present great mysteries mixed with loads of humor.

This is the last book in this series, and it’s as fun and zany as all that preceded it. It offers a loving but bittersweet ending to the series. Audrey finds herself in a position of saying hello to someone new and goodbye to someone else. One thing is for certain, Audrey will never be alone

I loved this book. It might be the best in the series. I’ll also admit to shedding a few tears at the way it ended. Here’s wishing the Fitzgerald-Galloways a long and happy future. They, the ghosts, and the other characters the series brought to life will be greatly missed.

Read this book! Read this entire series. I guarantee that you’ll enjoy every word just as I have.

'They' say all good things must come to an end. Personally I think that is incredibly short sighted of them, but it appears that Hinchey has taken the saying to heart and so Anything Ghost is the final book in the Ghost paranormal cozy mystery romance series. The thought of no more Audrey, Captain Hot Pants (AKA Detective Kade Galloway), Ben, Sebastian, Thor and my personal favourite Bandit is hard to take. However, if you are going to end a series you may as well go out with a bang, and this book is an absolute cracker.

Audrey is nine months pregnant, Kade is panicking and fussing over her like only a first time dad to be can do, Audrey's family (Mum, Amanda and Laura) are alternately turning up with goodies for the new baby, and providing horror stories about birth and babies, as well as questioning any decision Audrey is making about how she will raise baby.

And in the middle of it all the ghost of the former vice principal of Firefly Bay Middle School, Claire Hanover (sacked for embezzling funds and having an affair with a parent, Daniel Craig) walks straight through her in the cereal aisle as she's trying to buy enough packets of fruit loops to meet her current cravings.

Readers, hold tight for another rollicking ride as Audrey (with some help from Kade) looks to solve the mystery of how and why Claire died, and importantly Who Dunnit.

No spoilers from me, but a warning. Because this is the last book have a box of tissues on hand as Hinchey wraps up the Ghost series as only she can.

Highly recommended (Do you think if we petitioned hard enough she'd write a spin off series with Bandit as the main character?)

This is the 12th and last book in an incredible series that has made the reader feel like a part of the family. This book has you laughing out loud, crying and turning page after page to see what will happen next. With Audrey being 9 months pregnant, her husband Captain Hot Pants, Detective Kade Galloway, in reality is totally hovering and doting and worrying. When a ghost approached Audrey, one whose death was called a suicide and tells Audrey she didn't jump, and wants her to solve her case. Of course, Kade isn't too happy, but he does give her some help along with her best friend, ghost Ben who she's know since she was a child and who helped her become a good investigator. Add to the group we have Sebastian and her furries, Thor, and of course, the ever hungry, Bandit. I won't spoil any of this, but just be ready to run the gamut of your emotions! Not only do I highly recommend this book, but I highly recommend he entire series. I am so sad this is the end of feels like an era! I send a fond farewell, to some of my favorite characters. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

You know when a friend is moving and you have to say the final goodbye? That's what this felt like.

Audrey and Kade solved their final mystery while Audrey was ready to give birth any day and it was perfect.

It made way for the ghost to pass on but we also had to say goodbye to another loved character. From start to finish Ben was by Audrey's side along with Bandit and Thor. Lot's of belly laughs and a bond that made these characters feel like family. Even Seb became a huge part of that. So, as the final mystery/murder is solved and the love is passed along, my tears rolled done my eyes knowing that this was the final book. Life goes on, even in the writing world just without opening a book to see what trouble Audrey would get into or Bandit and Thor's food obsession.

Thanks for a wonderful adventure. If you haven't read it please pick up book one and enjoy the adventure and keep going because the belly laughs are worth a million words.

Great series finale! I will miss Audrey, Kade (Captain Cowboy Hot Pants), Ben, Thor, Bandit, and Seb.
Audrey is at the end of her pregnancy when the ghost of Claire Hanover steps through her at the grocery store. You may remember the ex-vice principal of the local middle school from a previous book. That case brought about the end of her job, so she had moved on to selling real estate. To say that Claire is not happy to discover she is dead is an understatement. She had just signed a new deal that was going to make her big money and poof, it was gone. She has no idea who killed her, but she has plenty of enemies to choose from.

Lots of things get wrapped up in this one, including Audrey's pregnancy. I refuse to spoil it for you. Let's just say: I laughed, I grumbled, I cried. So did Audrey. Enjoy. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

If we were hoping Audrey would be more careful and responsible with her pregnancy, we were sorely disappointed. She made it perfectly clear several times that she was pregnant, not sick, so for her, there was no reason not to do the job she knew how to do, and by the way, she did very well—much to Kade's chagrin. I laughed and felt uneasy at Audrey's audacity and the way she evaded her husband's concerns. I found Claire's case very interesting, as well as the villains, each worse than the last, and the unexpected plot twists. Who would have thought so many threads would tie up! I was so engrossed in the story that, even though I was preparing for the ending, the final chapters moved me deeply. I reread them and cried and cried. I truly appreciated the beautiful and emotional way they said goodbye.

Well, it’s over. It’s finished. And I am a mess. First, poor Audrey is nine months pregnant and waddling around trying to deal with being that way: many restrooms breaks, wrong shoes, finding clothes that fit. Then she is, of course, drawn into another murder. We see some minor characters from other books, and then the murder is solved. I was sure I wasn’t going to get emotional because I was pretty sure I knew what was going to happen. Then, my eyes watered and tears started rolling down my cheeks. Yes, I am a mess that this series is over. I’ll definitely miss Audrey, Kade, Ben, and all the other characters. This is a wonderful ending to a fun, well-written, emotional series. *cries* Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Audrey Fitzgerald-Galloway is 9-months pregnant and due any day now. Feeling like she is 19 months pregnant and exhausted this is not the best time for a ghost to appear. Unfortunately, this ghost does not know she is dead and argues with Audrey. Not knowing and not believing that she is dead will make Audrey’s task harder. The ghost, not a nice woman is demanding that Audrey help her. What if she can’t solve this case before she delivers her baby? Will this ghost haunt her forever? Her husband is worried and wants Audrey to slow down and rest while an unhappy ghost is demanding her time. I love this series with Audrey, her detective husband Kade and ghost friend Ben at her side. A review of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

How are we at book 12 and the end of seeing Audrey's weird and wonderful life?!
What a perfect way to finish the series after everything with have been through with Audrey along with her friends both live, dead and furry as not only do we have a great mystery to solve, but Audrey's determination to solve Claires death while Baby Fitzgerald-Galloway is due at any time. This case definitely did not disappoint and I totally felt with how uncomfortable Audrey was feeling due to her pregnancy, but with the help of her friends she of course finds out what really happened.
Seeing this series come full circle has been such a fun and I think with the last book now done it's the perfect time to go back and binge read from the start.

OMG. What a way to end this series. Right from the start, there's a very strong sense that this is the last adventure we'll get to read of Audrey, Kade, Ben and the rest of the characters. The mystery itself is nicely opaque initially, and is slowly revealed as the story progresses. There's a lovely degree of character development even this late in the series as Audrey and Kade are both excited and terrified of becoming new parents.

Lots of development, solid unraveling of the mystery, and a wonderful ending to the series. All-in-all this was a fun, tongue in cheek, humourous paranormal cozy mystery series, and I will miss it now that it's over. Thank you so much for the fun mysteries and laughs throughout this series.

This was the final book in a series ... the sort where the characters have become real. So, there will be tears. I admit that cozies and I are not always besties. There are just too many standards to the genre that bug me. For instance, there is no real good reason for a heavily pregnant Audrey to be running around looking into this case. Even so, I have always appreciated that the police detective boyfriend/fiancé/husband never did the "you have to stay out of police business!!!!" knowing full well that she won't. Love this series. If it had to end, this was a worthy and well-written ending. Highly recommend.

if I could give 10 stars I would

I have read every book in this series, and enjoyed them. This one KILLED me. Jane’s last news letter mentioned someone posting that this book made her cry, and I thought, no way, it’s comedy. Well…..I laughed, out loud on my deck where neighbors could hear. The first laugh was at the slippers. Sososo funny! And then I cried. Wow, it took me by surprise, I wasn’t expecting it. Then I laughed some more……and cried again. This book wound itself right around to the first book. It is truly a full circle series. And although I have kindle unlimited, I broke down and paid to finish this series when it left kindle unlimited……it was so worth it

This was a very emotional book for me as I have known these characters(read all the books) since the very first book in this series. Audrey ,Kade, her pets and friends are welcoming a new family member as Audrey works on her latest case. Her progressing pregnancy is the subject of much humor. This book was was as enjoyable as the previous ones in this series. The ending was another happily ever after we all want, but still bittersweet after all. I highly recommend this book, series and Author.

A bittersweet ending to a wonderful and hilarious series. Audrey and her pets, the ever patient and loving Kade, her best friend and ghost Ben are working to solve a murder. All the rest of the characters just make it that much fun to read and get to the answer. The ending will make you shed some tears but what a way to end this great series. A real romance story thrown into a murder mystery, you'll love it and miss it. I received the ARC of this book and I'm freely leaving this honest review.

Like all the others in this series, you are immersed immediately. Audrey is 9 months pregnant when a ghost walks into her life literally. Kade is in full protect mode and doesn't want her doing anything. So of course, she has to help Claire Hanover when she shows up in the cereal aisle. This book brought everyone together to work on the case and closed any lingering story lines. It was a beautiful ending and now I need to start back over with book one because I am no where near ready to let Audrey go.

I love this series and cannot believe that we are at the end already! It’s been one hell of a ride as we have gone from case to case and now we Join Audrey, Kade and Ben in their final case. 9 months pregnant and on the final stretch when the ghost of Claire Hanover walks in Audrey’s path stating that she didn’t jump and off we go. It’s a wonderful addition, full of mystery, surprises and intrigue as I found myself laughing out loud in places and crying like a baby in others. Very sad to see this come to an end!

Just perfect!

Why did it have to end?!?!  Last book of the series...  It was bittersweet...  Audrey and company will be missed dearly but this was the perfect ending to her story.  I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more and I cried again...  Not getting into the details so I don't reveal too much but grab the book, it's worth it!  I will definitely miss them a lot.  Thank you Jane for the wonderful world of Audrey, Ben, Kade, Seb, Thor and Bandit ❤

At nine months pregnant, the last thing Audrey needs is another case to solve. But she's determined to do just that. All of the characters we have grown to love are front and center in this finale. It's always hard to say goodbye to a series that has brought so much enjoyment. While I'm sad it's over, this was amazing way to end it. Ms. Hinchey has done it again. Audrey is always in trouble. I love her and all the rest in this series. She makes me laugh, cry, cringe when things go wrong. She always tries her best to make things work. She had Ben by her side from the time she was eight on. A very good friend.
I would like to visit later in life to see if Audrey had more kids or not. Also to see if the baby can talk to the animals or not. How much it will be like Mom or Dad. I cried and laughed so much. I will miss them.

Audrey should be home resting and getting ready for her baby but of course a ghost shows up. This ghost won't leave her alone until Audrey finds out who kills her. Typical Audrey but now she's ready to give birth any day and everyone except the new ghost is treating her like she's fragile. Great characters and well plotted mystery. Some surprises, too.

Audrey is such a fun, warm character with a equally fun, crazy supporting cast of characters.
She's nine months pregnant now and not letting that slow her down....much.
There are a lot of crazy moment but also a solid mystery to solve, that has twists,turns and surprises.

a Wonderful Ending! Twenty Stars!!!

I love this series & wish it wasn’t coming to an end. I will miss Audrey, Ben, & Bandit. I really enjoyed this last one. I laughed & cried. I wonder if we can convince Jane to possibly write an update novella. I especially liked reading the bonus scene provided. Maybe a sequel in the future for Baby Fitzgerald-Galloway?

I am actually heartbroken. The idea of never reading about Audrey et al is not in my wheelhouse right now. I have enjoyed reading every word of the 12 books and I hope that if Ms. Hinchey starts a new series after this that it will be just as memorable as this. Good story, a perfect way to wrap up the series. I definitely recommend reading this series.

Last book of the series. Sad but happy ending.
I wish it wouldn't end here, I wish the series would go on with Lucy joining the story. But I don't see how Audrey can solve most cases without Ben and his special electronic talents. I hope Jane Hinchey desides to bring this story back it is one of my favorites.
