Records accounts of humans being abducted by alien life forms, and discusses other paranormal phenomena, such as ghosts, extrasensory perception, and possessions by evil spirits
As the description states, this book really is a no-nonsense look on strange extra-terrestrial phenomena. The sarcastic voice more than often bleeds through, providing moments of hilarity in the face of extreme absurdity. For example, having explained one abductee's fantastical pre-moon landing story of visiting a complex and daunting civilization on the far side of the moon, the writer goes on to state that, "too bad NASA landed on the near side of the moon instead of the much more interesting far side". Despite the light-hearted, often sarcastic commentary provided by the author, the issue of alien existence is treated with respect amidst intellectual discussion.
One of the most striking elements of the book that initially caught my eye (and continues to every time I pick it up) is the amount of high-quality images contained within the covers. Often images will take up an entire page (keeping in mind that this book is a large hardback). These images range from vintage comic book covers to fantasy art depicting impossible worlds.
This book is a must for any UFO enthusiasts. The interesting issues and unique ideas raised and discussed in this book reignited my enthusiasm for the magic of unexplained phenomena, just when I thought I knew it all. Although, this isn't at all surprising for a reader's digest volume.
