People hate tofu. And it's hard to argue with tofu hatred, at least at first glance. It's ugly, it's spongy, and it doesn't really look like food--you might ask, What's the point? The point is that it's a clean, healthful, powerful, plant-based protein that provides all kinds of nutrients without a lot of calories or carbohydrates and pretty much no cholesterol. In other words, it's kind of a perfect food. And with these thirty-five delicious and satisfying recipes--from Sweet-and-Spicy Tofu Nuggets and Tofu Caesar Salad to Tofu Sloppy Joes, Grilled Tofu Kebabs, and Chocolate Pudding Pops--you will come to love it. We promise.
Tucker Shaw's novel, WHEN YOU CALL MY NAME, follows two gay teenagers during the height of the AIDS crisis in New York City in 1990. In hard times, nothing is more powerful than friendship.
Still learning about tofu. This book was very informative and made someone who was a beginner only making marinated tofu for sandwiches and tofu scramble before reading this book. Can't wait to try things out I read in the book. Also helped with fear of tofu. We all had it at one time where we looked at the block of tofu and went do I press this or do I not and what are the differences between each of these. Also helps tell us how it's made. Anyone who loves tofu or has a fear of it check it out.
