The recipes in this book are tasty, easy to make, and use ingredients you will find at your local grocery store. The premise behind this book is the belief that people with different blood types process food and other chemicals differently. The recipes in this book focus on healthy fats, proteins, and vegetables without using things like wheat, corn, oats, and a lot of dairy products. I don’t know if the underlying science is valid. What I do know is that this eating plan seems to work well with my personal chemistry, removing things like indigestion, bloating, and other stomach upset. I eat keto foods, and many of the recipes from this cookbook are compatible with that. By using these recipes along with keto, I have been able to get my blood sugar into nearly normal range though I am a person with type one diabetes. I especially appreciate that these recipes are big on flavor and are things I can serve to guests or even take them to a potluck dinner without having to make excuses for my healthy food. I can honestly say that I enjoy breakfast now. I used to wake up dreading foods at the breakfast table and feeling kind of nauseous. Now I feel hungry, and I feel satisfied after eating.
I have been intrigued by the idea of eating foods that specifically align with ones blood type ever since I heard about it years ago. Aside from brief google searches, that was as far as that interest reached prior to reading this book.
Overall I found it generally interesting. My wife and I both have the same blood type, so makes it convenient if we wanted to actually try to pursue this. I actually eat a majority of the 'most beneficial' list for Type O, but there are a few foods that I eat often that are on the avoid list... especially avocados and white potatoes.
Most of this book is just filled with recipes, however towards the front and the back there is quite a bit of good content supporting this theory/diet/belief system... whatever you want to call it.
Maybe I can convince the wife to give this a try for 30 days.. and see what happens. Timing wise is actually pretty good, as the time/date of this review is March 1st.
Hard to give this anything beyond a 3/5, unless of course I do this 30 day challenge and all of a sudden I wake up and I have a 6 pack and look like I'm in my low 20's again... lol.
Skip this book. Why would you ever base your eating habits on your blood type? Hey, I'm type A, so I can eat transfats, but my partner is type O so therefore, should eat only veggies, right? Humbug. BS.

I have been doing this diet for 5 years. there is a lot to be said for the fact that this is not a weight loss plan - but when I stick to it, im the healthiest ive been. 10/10 recommend
