Never tease a captain’s stick… unless you can finish what you started.
Jessica Brooks used me as her fake boyfriend to dodge a creep at a bar.
One kiss went viral, and now the whole internet thinks the sassy fashion influencer is dating Miami’s most untouchable captain.
Yeah. No.
I don’t do relationships. I don’t do beautiful blonde distractions in the middle of a playoff run. And I sure as hell don’t do fake girlfriends.
But my PR team sees an opportunity. Her do-gooder brand plus my ice-cold reputation equals foundation funding.
Fine. We’ll fake it.
The problem? Jessica’s laugh. Her gorgeous blue eyes. Those soft, pouty lips… and the things I want her to do with them.
Now she’s under my roof, pushing past my walls… and punishing me for being too much of a jerk to admit this is getting real.
She thinks breaking my self-control is a game.
Sweetheart.
You’re about to learn that when you play with the captain's stick— He’s gonna make you beg to keep it
Stick Tease is a steamy standalone fake-dating, enemies-to-lovers, forced-proximity hockey romance. This is book two in the Miami Blazers series with a guaranteed HEA! When a viral kiss forces Miami’s most untouchable NHL captain into a fake relationship with a sassy fashion influencer, the last thing he expects is to end up sharing a roof with the one woman hell bent on wrecking his self-control.
A ferocious reader, a story weaver, and a lover of all things steamy and romantic. Her head is always in the clouds dreaming up the Hella Hunky male characters that will keep your heart racing. She writes men with the perfect amount of charm, wit, humor, class, and five o’clock shadow to make your insides quiver. Her heart throbs, heartbreaks, and HEA will always keep you coming back for more.
The heat in this book melted the ice in the rink! Dominic is the captain of the Miami Blaze hockey team. He had rich, but cold family who he is currently estranged from. Jessica is a designer and seamstress. She grabs him at a crowded bar to get rid of a jerk who's harassing her. Dominic makes her an origami flower and tucks it behind her ear. That goes viral and his PR staff decides the relationship could benefit them both. Make Dom more human and help Jessica with her design business. The tension between these 2 - phew. They both have feelings, but don't know how to handle them. Jessica teases Dom mercilessly trying to make him break. Dom is growly and protective. When he finally does break - the steam is amazing. The scenes in the kitchen, the shower, and on the ice rink will melt your kindle. But the relationship between them feels so real. And once they truly connect Dominic is THERE for Jessica in every important way. I lvoed the development of the side characters. Jess's best friend Danni, and Dom's teammates. They do get their HEA. And in the last chapter we find out what Stick Tease really means. I'm not a hockey fan, but this book totally stands on it's own and is a great, steamy romance.
Stick Tease by Vitina Rose is a 5+ star book. It was unbelievably good. I want the two main characters to be someone I could meet in person. They are fantastic! The banter was not just fun, but so smart and sarcastic. Witty. Laugh out loud. The slow burn was worth it, and, then, when they finally moved into the action, it was so amazingly hot it was through the roof delicious. The main character of Jessica is someone anyone would root for and want to be friends with. She is strong, confident, and takes no prisoners. Dominic, the grouchy captain of the hockey team that she is pretending to be romantically involved with to improve his image, is just plain hot. He is a possessive, alpha male who is beyond drool worthy. It's a shame this book had to end. It was just sooo good, I could have hung out with the characters for days. Instead I stayed up until 4:00 am because I couldn't put it down. For someone who is not into sports, including hockey, that is just amazing. Oh, and the title comes out at the end with a surprise play on words. At least it was for me. Grab this one. Then wait for the story about Zed, the goalie. If it beats this one, I will be amazed.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really liked Dominic ,Jessica I disliked , she was one who latched on to him in the bar not the other way around and wasn't happy at first about all the attention but man she changed her mind quickly and again got grabby and acted like he should be thankful and set conditions which were again dumb and selfish, she should swallowed her pride and explained why she wanted to move in then got irritated when he really didn't want her there at first. I just hated her selfish personality. All he wanted was to start the kids club. Even when at end he explained his family she was a bit annoying about it. Sorry to those who liked her but I couldn't because she made it about herself .
This book was the absolute best when it comes to fake dating. Dominic and Jessica engage in a kiss that goes viral. So not the hockey team Captain has been ripped into a fake relationship to help with PR. Dominic isn’t about relationships and all that but he agrees anyway. And when Jessica mixes in with him, he tries to make things hard for her. But Jessica isn’t having any of that. She gives just as well as she gets. She’s a strong woman, fun and sweet. And no matter how hard Dominic tries, he’s falling for her. The back and forth, push and pull, was perfect. And when these two finally came together, it was explosive. I loved seeing these two together. They were great with one another.
Not sure why this labeled enemies to lovers cause there is instant attraction and interest. There’s a bit of bitterness at the fact they need each other to reach their goals, but I wouldn’t say they were ever enemies. Dom is closed off, comes across cold and unapproachable. Jessica is the opposite. She is a social media influencer whom many adore. Them coming together was the perfect amount of slow burn. Them trying to keep things “ professional” was a valiant effort, but futile. I absolutely loved the banter. I wish Jessica had more fight when they were getting down to business, I loved the story overall.
3.65 stars? This book was still good but not as good as the first. I liked the story line, the fmc was pretty cool, and it was an interesting read. I just fully couldn't get behind the mmc. He hated his parents for how controlling and micromanaging he was. That is literally his whole personality in this book but he calls it protectiveness so it's alright. He does some cute things for the fmc and she calls him out towards the very end for being hot and cold BUT I would argue he is basically just like his parents (which were toxic). He can slightly be excused since he's fictional but if my friend dated someone like this in real life I'd tell her to run away.
Want to know what a bestselling romance book looks like. Then you should definitely read this hot, amazing, and magnetic hockey romance book by Vitina. Holy smokes I absolutely LOVED this book. FANTASTIC characters, the most PHENOMENAL storyline that grips you right away. I always have loved reading anything Vitina writes, but this romance book right here just became my new #1 favorite to read by her. That is until her next book comes out.
I am loving The MiamiBlazers Series. I really hope there’s more to come. Dominic and Jessica are hot, hot, hot! And I love learning more about Dom’s teammates. Their camaraderie seems natural - not forced or over done. I’m already wondering who the next book in the series will be about and when it will be available.
I’m still baffled by the writers ability to give such amazing descriptions of the story that visually you see each scene. I love the connection between Jessica and Dominic. Their love story makes you want the book to never end! Great read!
The need to humanize the granite formed hockey player with a talented young designer to assure them their dreams if they do it together. A great story of compromise and discovery .It was a great read.
Jessica and Dominic’s fake relationship sometimes full of laughs and drama of who they think they should be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Takes a little while to get to the spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ they can’t get enough of each other and ending in a wonderful HEA.
Absolutely fell in love with these two. The banter was on point. The spice was just right. I adore your books, but this may have been the best one yet.
