A vision. A lost talisman. A dangerous journey through time...
A month after their bonding, Ari and Andreas are still adjusting to married life when they learn the hard way that the O-Seven, the terrifying and brutal vampire elders, still have them in their sights. A three million dollar bounty hangs over each of their heads, and there’s no lack of assassins eager to collect.
When the local seer has a terrifying vision of the destruction of Riverdale, it’s up to Ari—as usual—to keep everyone safe. Only this time, an enemy from the past has bound her fire powers, and the city’s string of arsons seems connected.
Daron, the vampire prince in Toronto, has information that two of the vampire elders are on their way to Riverdale. Which can’t be good. Only a risky and unprecedented journey through time can provide the help they need. But that will leave Andreas to face the O-Seven alone...
Ally Shields is the fantasy pen name of Janet L Buck, who also writes historical mysteries as J L Buck.
Ms Shields' Guardian Witch series was first released between 2012 and 2015 and were withdrawn by Etopia Press in 2023. Revised and updated editions were released later in 2023 with new covers and one title change.
Due to an ongoing story line, the author recommends this series be read in order, beginning with Awakening the Fire.
A sequel trilogy may be re-released in the future.
The Maggie York Paranormal Mystery trilogy, set in New Orleans and the Crosskeys trilogy may also be re-released with revised editions as time permits.
When not writing, Ms Shields reads multiple genres--urban fantasy, thrillers, mysteries, historical romance, and she loves to travel--anywhere, anytime.
Still another amazing entry into the Guardian Witch series. If anything this one is more magical! Ari has grown. Andreas is more than ever her Love. But the dark moves against them more than ever!
Thrilling and engaging. Ari's world, that just seemed fascinating in book 1, now feels like a real place I should be able to find, if I got in the car.
I really enjoyed this one a lot more than all the previous books combined. I think it had a lot to do with Ari's trip in the time machine and meeting a human Andreas. It was more interesting and a change in dynamics/scenery/time.
Spoilers for the anxious:
Random note: The smutty side of me wishes it was a bit steamier. :)
Side note: Can we please ban the word delectable from our vocabulary? It is such a skeevy word and I have yet to read a sentence in a romantic sense that can pull it off.
I really hate it when authors use time travel - it is LAZY. The whole kiss-kiss lovey thing is nauseating and the final nail in the coffin is the fizzle of an ending, the possibilities were great but nothing happens, literally everyone just stops doing anything and goes home. A huge disappointment of a book

Andreas and Ari got married at the end of Fire Storm and all they want is a little time to enjoy it, but with the O-Seven persistently after them things won't slow down any time soon. Andreas has to stand beside Daron while Ari is sent on a little journey through time to recover something once lost.
"Signorina, have you not made a mistake that you regret? I have come to beg your forgiveness."
I really enjoyed the back and forth...following Andreas and Ari as they were both in different places and time periods. Her interactions were very interesting while she was gone, no matter what time she's in Ari is still the same sassy smart mouthed Ari, and I loved how it all played out.
"Which side of me do you prefer?" he whispered, running lips along her throat. "The man or the vampire."
"I am so not going there."
Their connection continues to grow and the possibilities of what they can do is endless. They may only wish to be left alone, but when they're pushed into a corner they have no problem pushing back.
Wild Fire is a dividing journey that will bring power and love together. The line between enemies and friends will become a little blurry and risks will be taken. And when you get to the end you'll be ready to start Eternal Fires, the final installment of the Guardian Witch series. I know I can't wait to see how it all comes together, especially with the surprise addition at the end.
My Favorite Laughable Moment: Their first attempt at trying new technology was hilarious. The lights! The sarcastic comments! And definitely the laughing! It was priceless.

The sixth book in the series does not let us down as readers of this amazing series.
This books finds Ari traveling back into time to retrieve magical artifacts that belonged to Fredrico Deluca; a family member of Andreas, who she also meets for the first time in the past as Abigail. This book is packed with twists and turn to keep you intertwined with each page until the last page and then you will want more.
Air and Andreas are irresistible. I love a story that combines the beauty of love with the action of strong characters who put their actions behind their belief in doing Good! Ari and Andreas are just the pinnacle of wonderful characters in this book!
