When two best friends, Adrian and Danny, are trying to make it through high school, Danny finds the girl of his dreams, Sally Baker. The only problem is, she doesn’t even know that he exists.
Unfortunately, one day during lunch, openly gay Jake notices these two best friends and mistakes them for a gay couple who are still in the closet. Now, everyone thinks that Danny and Adrian are secretly and genuinely, a gay couple.
Even though Danny and Adrian are known as a gay couple, Danny sees it as an opportunity to get closer to Sally. As Danny’s best friend, Adrian promises to help him get together with the love of his life.
As their relationship begins to intensify, will everything work out?
I read this mostly to see if it was really as bad as the one review it had said it was. It did have some editing issues so a few times it was difficult figuring out what the sentence meant. Basically the short story was written like stream of consciousness from a teenage boy. I think the intended audience is teens. It reads more like someone's fantasy of how two best friends discover they are gay. Things are very contrived and a bit unrealistic but when you read you are supposed to suspend that inner critic.
I can't see most adults enjoying it but teens and older tweets would be appropriate readers.
